"You can talk to animals?" Winter asked.

"Nice to make you're acquaintance, Winter." I start, not quite finishing my sentence yet. "And yes, I can talk to animals.. Tis quite a gift." I say laughing quietly.

"Woah. So.. COOL!" She says excitedly.  "And no, you're not bothering me. It's just been so lonely out here, I thought I would come over here in secret... But it seems my plan failed. ...I didn't mean to wake you up." She says laughing awkwardly.

"Oh, it tis okay. But, you said you were lonely, correct?" I ask, and she nods.

"Well, then where are the other birds, and animals? I mean, you couldn't be just the only one here right?" I ask hopefully.

"Sadly, yes. I am the only one here. But there were others, tons, in fact.." She states sadly.

"If you don't mind, do you mind telling what exactly happened to them?" I ask.

"Sure, I will retell the story." She says breathing in hard.

She let go of her breath.

"Our flock traveled here from the Northern direction, toward the artic in fact. We were all a bunch of adventurers looking for something new, to start our own path and destiny. Have are own families in fact.  There were multiple types of us, even hybrid. We arrived here, and it was like a complete paradise. We were thriving, even helping the environment.. Then.. They came.. By they.. I mean.. The humans invaded here. They shot, and captured us. Selling us for trade with our feathers, and even using us for meat. We did but not a thing to them, they hurt us. They made sure that we were gone by setting this place a flame. I managed to escape, and hide. That was one of my darkest and loneliest nights ever. My family, my friends, everything that I had ever known, gone in a snap. Eventually, they left. I was glad, but very lonely. I created a home for myself, and started to be independent. So, this is where I am now. And where the others went..." Winter finished, and sighed.
