The Wolves Cry

I scan the ground once more like I did before meeting Astra, and Sterope. I find a log, and put it in between my wings. Although I fluttered my wings were big. They were almost like alicorn wings, I had no idea why though.. I then head back into the direction of where I came from.

I swiftly walk along the path to where I was, and look around me. Nature was beautiful, everything in the Everfree forest. I always wondered why the ponies of Equestria hated this place. I didn't see a problem with the forest. Actually, it's by far my favorite place. Well then again, I've only been here and Ponyville.

Random leaves fell and random times, the breeze would hit my mane in time it needed. The sunlight was shining brightly, but not too brightly. Everything was perfect, but not too perfect. As I was thinking these things- BOOM! I ran into a tree again. This time no wildlife was bothered. "I'm so sorry, tree, it won't happen again!" I say moving a little faster, I then realized, I already arrived at the place I was seeking. I was back. I set down the log on some old fallen leaves, and I then looked for a stick to start taking the bark off of the wood. Since I had no magic, and I didn't want to go to Ponyville, this is how I had to do it. I didn't mind. New things are always fun to try! I thought.

I then looked down at the ground and right there standing before me was a stick! It wasn't a flimsy or small stick either. It had a sharp tip, and it was full of bark. It was perfect for getting the bark off of the log. I then trotted back to the log, and fallen leaves.

I placed the stick on the log, still holding the stick, I then placed my hoof on the log to keep it steady. Then from the right, I used the sharp tip of the stick and began quickly getting to the end of the log which would be the left side. Bark flew off at various speeds, it was really working. I kept doing these steps on all sides of the log until there was pure wood, and no bark.

I finally finished cutting off the bark, and there was a light pure brown on the wood without bark. I felt my hooves go across the wood, it was so smooth. It was good the log wasn't hollow either, otherwise we would have a problem and it would basically fall apart. I then realized...

Where was Athena?
