I found a spot to set up base. This wasn't really a sheltered spot, it was just some hay in a field of foxtails, under the whisper of the moon and brisk, cool air of the wind. This would have to do, what possibly could happen? Oh wait... A lot could happen.. Like, a human finding us, and killing us, or even worse, a human and pony finding us and killing us.. But, I couldn't possibly think of that now. We needed to rest to start our next adventure. But, yet again, I didn't want to leave Luna's beautiful night alone.

I let the others fall asleep, while I stayed up. I felt like I had been ignoring Luna lately, by sleeping through her night. I didn't like doing that, but I had to. I sighed, and looked up to the moon. I felt alone, not lonely, but alone. I liked this feeling, I didn't have this feeling in so long. Just me and my thoughts, and the night..

But then again, that was bad, because old memories would consume me. I thought.

The foxtails brushed against my paws, and I could hear the peacefulness of the night. Everything was still, almost as if something were looking for me.

I sat there in the comfortable silence that there was, and I was just waiting. Something was destined to happened, and so, I just waited.

I was looking in the northern direction when it happened- I didn't even know, just blinded by waiting. And that thing that I was waiting for, it came, oh it came, indeed.

The grey and black speckled fur ball tackled me, and began licking me wildly. I tried blocking the creature, like anyone would do, but to my effort that I put in, no affect was taken.

"Can you please stop licking me?" I asked the creature. The creature stood up, still on top of me and looked directly down onto me.

This creature had a cloth on of sorts, and that cloth blew in the wind. But, this creature wasn't just any creature, it was another canine!
