"Time to start decorating. Let the fun begin!" I say now getting a spark of cheerfulness. I trotted to my door leading me outside. Once I was outside I began scanning the area for supplies. "I shall not use trees, because that would destroy the homes of the animals. But... If there are logs on the ground I can harvest those into wood and make furniture." I say quietly planning for what to do.

I walk into the north, and begin looking at the ground. The wind was at a normal pace, the longest day finally turned to dusk. The sun faded into the south and the moon had risen. The moonlight hit my midnight fur. I liked the night better than day. I preferred Luna over Celestia. I didn't know why so many people hated her, for she didn't do anything wrong. I felt somehow we were connected.

The night was beautiful, and I myself wouldn't mind eternal night. With all of this thinking I didn't realize where I was going and I bumped my head on a tree ahead. I stumbled backwards and eventually fell on my back. I was more scared than hurt. "AH!" I shouted. I sat up, and looked at the tree. "Oh my stars.. I'm sorry Mr. Tree." I say to the tree.  "Hey! Watch where you're going filly! You bumped my tree. As if she could hear me anyways.." A male voice shouted from the tree.

"O-Oh, I didn't mean to bump your tree. I-I'm really sorry." I say quietly. "W-Wait. You can understand me!?" The male voice says again but this time revealing himself. I gasped. I started in awe. He was a phoenix. His feathers on the outside were dark blue, and on the inside his feathers were black. His tail feathers were dark blue, and his head was dark blue as well. His eyes were dark green, while his beak leading up to his eye was white. On his beak there was a patch of dark purple and the right side of his eye a little bit away there were two patches of dark purple. He had a spike of three feathers or toughs of feathers going off his top head, they were also blue but on the tips of them were black.

"Don't be so hard on the poor-" A female voice said and then she revealed herself she was also a phoenix. "Mare...?" She said confusingly. She had black and purple outside feathers, and black inside feathers. Her tail feathers were dark purple, and her head was dark purple, her toughs of fur were dark purple and they curved back and had black tips on them. Her eyes were blue as well.

"Woah! Your phoenix! Heh.. I'm Shadow. Nice to meet you." I say to them cheerfully. "I'm Astra, and this is Sterope. Sorry for him being so mean, it's just usually other creatures come here with bad intentions." The female phoenix called Astra said. Sterope gruffed.

I heard claw steps, and footsteps coming nearer. Astra's ears poked up. "Their coming! Sterope, protect the eggs! Shadow, you have to leave. They will kill you if you interfere!" Astra says warning me. Sterope huddled over their nest protecting two eggs. I looked into the distance, and I saw up ahead. There were three dragons, it looked like they were a cult. Their eyes piercing and ready to kill.

I pretended to run away, but instead I hid behind a tree. I could hear Astra and Sterope's pleads. It was no use to the dragons. I jumped in front of the tree where the phoenix, and eggs lie. I was not moving anytime soon.
