I'm Just A Dreamer

He nodded, warmly smiling. His smile emitted fire, along with his heart. He was a good creature. I fiddled with my hooves looking downwards. I was being awkward. ...And shy.

"..So, you have a phoenix as a pet. That is really cool! I can relate a lot to them." Gospel said, putting his wings away.

"Heh, yep. Her name is Athena." I say, quiet as a mouse. I didn't want to seem like a door-mat, but let's be honest.. I am. I'm the lone wolf, the doormat, the outcast, shy, antisocial, introverted, little small pony I am. Or.. Wolf. Apparently I was staring off into space, because Gospel took it as I was feeling sad. He tilted his head.

"Anything wrong, Shadow?" He asked, simply. I came back into reality, I faked a smile.

"Nope, I'm good." I said quietly.

"And, Athena is a very good name. Actually.. You seem really good with animals." He began. Where was he leading with this? Was he talking about Lucy? I've always wanted to have a canine, I always used to have on at the house... But I can barely remember him. I know he got killed.. I couldn't forgive the one who made my family shed blood, and the dog. 'C'mon, Shadow! Focus! I can't keep dwelling in the past. I thought, focusing.

"Where are you going with this?" I asked, Gospel. He grinned widely, giving off some warmth and hope.

"Y'know, I can't really keep, Lucy. I'm going back to my dragon past. I need to learn more about it, and when I do.. Well, I don't want Lucy to get hurt. The dragons of my past will probably want me to stay there, and so.. I won't have enough time with, Lucy. I already know she likes you, so could you please..." I cut him off from rambling.

"..Keep her?" I asked.
