I tore into the tree bark, ripping each strip layers of wood with passion.. But it just wasn't enough. I kept going at it though, hoping the wood would let up.

Lucy noticed what I was doing, and she joined in. With all of her strength as well, we torn into the pieces of hard bark together. The wood felt like diamond, because our claws would usually shred up, anything.

After a while of both me and Lucy doing this, Athena got the idea. She flew upwards, and she also had her talons bared. Athena was now at a height where she could fly around. Instead of taking off with the speeds of the wind, she took to the ground. She began diving forward, her talons bared in front of her, ready to tear this bark to pieces.

Lucy and I's claws seemed to get sharper, and we got swifter with each claw mark that we made. Our efforts seemed to be working, but we just needed a little more to get through to the other side.

Athena dove to the bark, and reached it. Her talons shredded the bark with Lucy and I's help with clawing. But instead of bark flying everywhere, the bark disappeared.. Almost like this was a spell barrier, cast to trap the poor creature. Wait-

That was exactly what it was.

"That was a spell!" Lucy and I exclaimed. Lucy must have known about these types of spells from Gospel. For he was a skilled unicorn.. At least, that is what he seemed like.

Athena was now on the ground, and she panted from doing that with her talons. She was still a phoenix chick, after all. Athena did get up though, and she slowly recovered from that energy burst that she did, indeed, have.

I peered through the bark barrier. Slowly, I walked past the disappeared bark barrier, and into the cavern. Lucy closely followed...
