My mouth hung open, I felt numb. Even tears were trying to come out, but I held them in, being strong.. For Winter. I stared at Winter. 

"I'm.. So.. Very.. Sorry, Winter. Oh my Luna! How horrible that must've been, I swear on my life, I will fulfill my promise to the animals that I have met, by not letting the humans hurt anymore creatures." I said with full sincerity. I still wondered about the whole war scene of that night, for she hadn't told that part of the story. She ended it right there.. I hope she doesn't think it twas her fault for leading them there only to be killed.

"Thank you, Shadow." Winter said, looking down. Her wings were now covering herself, spread out completely, only to hide her outer body. Winter sighed, shaking her head. Athena then came over to Winter, Athena patted Winter's back with her wing.. Athena had heard the whole thing.. Athena sniffled, and chirped while crying. 

"Oh, yeah.. I kinda forgot about you 'Athens. If your wondering how I got that, it was a nickname I gave her when I woke up in the middle of the night with her sleeping on top of me." Winter blushed lightly while saying the last part.

"Wait!? Can you understand, Athena?!" I asked, hoping for an answer. But, I got too excited. . .

"No.. She is a good friend though, only if she talks through chirps." Winter said, again blushing. Winter turned around to face Athena.

Athena then blushed too.

It was too cute! I cannot even, they are so very adorable. Though; I do wish that Winter could actually understand, Athena. That would be helpful.

"I should take my leave, though. I did say that I was going to find a tree. Thanks for having me, Shadow. And I do wish I could take this 'kid as my roommate, but sadly, I cannot." Winter said, as she chuckled. Athena turned around, and acted like she didn't care, but really, her flame grew brighter than before.

"Wait! ....Before you go..." I say trailing off with words.
