Nebulas started telling her story again, and I was very intrigued. I wondered if the torch would do anything, since they are in a cave? Usually caves were stone, and stone couldn't go up in flames... But then again, anything is possible.

"The flame stick touched the stone cold ground, and the unsettling unexpected happened. The flame from the stick, spread throughout the ground. By the second it was getting quicker, and the fire spread was inching to reach me.. This was a different type of fire spread than normal wild fire.. The humans had gotten this from a certain ruler named: Princess Celestia.

Now, this fire couldn't hurt the humans.. But I figured out, fire had it's targets.. And that target would be me.

I backed away a little, but I was still ready to protect what I was sent to protect. I finally had my purpose, and you know I wasn't going to lose it.

The humans aimed their weapons at me, and the fire-spread was just beneath my paws.. Still.. No movement from me.

Yes, I was a little frightened, but I knew what I had to stand up for..

Finally.. The fire reached my paws. The fire jumped onto my paws, and I winced as it burned through my fur on my left tiger-like paw.. This fire did something more than regular fire, though.. This fire made me weak, I felt as if I were going to collapse, faint, or pass out... Or all of the above.

Without thinking, I began running back to my cave.. Not retreating, running. Never get those two things mixed up with each other.

I just barely made it to my cave before stumbling over into the cave area..

The worse part was: the humans followed me.. And they brought something worse than fire.. They brought.. Poison." Nebulas finished, sighing..

Poison.. The humans.. Forced poison? It was starting to make sense.. Everything was starting to connect again, now.
