Everfree's Past

I began reading the next page. "There was another pony that was with them, but nopony knows what happened to him. They say his name started with an E, and he was very powerful. Those were all known things about him known, but as I said.. Nopony knows the rest. List and Fleer planted a sapling of a spruce tree. They knew it would take a long time to grow, but it would be a good start. They set up their bases to sleep, which were tends, and when they were finished they looked back at the sapling. They expected to see nothing, but they were astonished to find the tree had grown right away. The tree was massive, bigger than any tree that they have ever seen before, or ever would see. They both thought of a great idea. They would plant saplings all around the area where they were, and they would make a place filled with trees, filled with nature, filled with adventure, and filled with youth. And so, that night, they planted more saplings of the same tree which was spruce. All of the saplings grew rapidly, but none came close to the size of the first one. Since the first tree was the biggest, and it looked like Evergreen, they decided to name this undiscovered area, 'Ever.' The two brothers were both alone that night, and they both felt at peace. They felt proud, and accomplished of what they had done that night, so they decided to rest in their tents. They woke up the next morning, and they got out of their tents. They were amazed to find that flowers had bloomed, grass had sprouted, and nature had found its place there. They felt a feeling that they couldn't describe. It was no feeling you would get with the city filled with ponyfolk, no. You would have to be touched by nature to get this feeling. It was almost like they were wild, but not quite. They decided on their feelings, and they had felt free. And so they added that name to 'Ever' and thus the name: 'Everfree.' This name had many meanings then just those two discoveries, though. It was a short term for: 'Forever, free.' And nothing could destroy that, not even humans. Freedom was a given, but you had to take risks to receive it. This place had many risks, indeed. But what the brothers came to find out, was that this place wasn't protected. Ponies, even humans, could come and destroy it at any moment. They needed some protectors, and they knew just the ponies- Or... Creatures..." I read the last sentence of the page, and flipped it once more.
