We were still walking, but I could recognize everything by now. We were so very close, I could just feel it.

"Shadow watch ou-" Winter begins, but then I face plant into a tree.

I could literally feel it now.

I recover from the tree, and I look over at Winter whom is trying to hold her laughter inside.

"Heh.. Hehehhe.. Heheheh!" I begin laughing, and soon, Winter joins with me. We were now bursting out laughing.

"Pfft, why didn't we talk while we were walking?" I say, letting the cold Everfree Forest breeze hit my flowing mane.

"I have no idea, but it was pretty awkward.." Winter said, now reviving from the laughter.

"Indeed, welp, anyways.. It looks like we are here." I say, peering from the right side of the tree, looking at Sterope and Astra's tree.

There was also the looming light of my cabin.. It must have been Athena creating that light. Everything looked almost that same from when I had left. Except, maybe Athena's sleeping position.

Again, phoenix are lazy.

"Hey, Winter.. Are owls lazy?" I ask her.

"Uh, not really.. We are either out hunting, or sleeping for only four hours a day. Then we go back to hunting, unless we have owlets.. Well.. Actually, that is just what I hear. I'm not sure if it's entirely true, but that is what all of my old friends used to say. You could say, I've really never experienced a truly normal life." Winter said. Her facial expression changed to regret.

"But normal isn't interesting.. Normal is boring. It's better to live life unexpectedly, then you have a better chance of getting good surprises. Plus, only normal people know what their ending is, which is.. Truly, scary." I replied, slightly smiling. Winter stared at me, as if something was wrong, as if she realized something important. Her wings grew an even brighter snow color, one that could blind another pony.

"You're right.. You are.. So.. Right! This whole time, I thought I should act 'normal', like the other owls.. But really, acting normal would have lead me to death with the humans.. Thank you, Shadow.."  Winter said, now looking at the ground.

"That's the spirit! No problem, by the way. But I shall now introduce you to your new home.." I say now moving forward with my trot.
