Centuries
"What..?" Nebulas said in a weak, and confused voice. "Advanced?" Nebulas asked again, she demanded an answer.
I looked at her, and her eyes were shocked. She stood there frozen, until a little realization came to her.
She paced back and forth on the soil, causing tracks to build up and create mud stains. The grass even folded down at the touch of her paws, as she came back to the same paw mark.
"So this is what the brothers didn't tell me... They only gave me that hint.. And now that I have finally pieced it together..." She spoke aloud..
"You must be the chosen one the brothers talked about." She mumbled under her breath in whispers. I didn't really have much thought of it either, it was her business.. Not mine.
"I suppose this is where we part, Nebulas?" I asked her, and she nodded and hopefully smiled. I was going to miss this creature, just like I was going to miss every creature I had to part. But, at least I knew, they would be happy.
"Yes. It is time for me to start my job again. But before you leave, I just wanted to say: thanks. Thank you for bringing me back into my senses, and thank you for talking with me. Good luck on your journey as well, and, remember, keep on going, no matter what! It will pay off in the end, even though it may seem like this is a ruthless world, deep down, it's really beautiful, just hard to see. So, with that, goodbye Shadow Wolfie, and goodbye Echo and Lucy! Oh! Tell Athena I say the warmest hello!" Nebulas said brightly, her smile shone through the cavelight.
"Thanks, and I will. Farewell, Nebulas. I hope our paths will cross again someday. Wait, I know they will." I said, as I lead the way out to the exit. I heard Nebulas giggling to herself, while she got back into the process of getting into her job.
I was going to take her quote by heart.
