Arrow

I waited for the right moment, correct timing, and right movement. The snowball was about 35 centimeters from my face, and I dodged it by quickly, and stealthily going to the right.

But, not to my suprise, there was more snow being thrown at my face.
Every time they would come close, it was like an epic battle scene from an adventure dodging the bullets from the pistols. I ducked, turned, spun, and even dropped to the ground in dodging. None of the snow remained, and none had disappeared while touching me. In fact, none had touched me.

Athena's mouth hung open, and she stood there frozen. I wondered if she was actually frozen due to the cold..

She blinked, which obviously meant she wasn't frozen.

I laughed to myself, it was now my turn to make the move. I gently bent downwards, and with my hooves I gathered and scooped a small pile of snow. I wasn't going to take a lot because that wouldn't be fair. Carefully, I held the snow in my hooves and pretended to look straight forward, staring into blank space. I was trying to trick, Athena..

Athena turned to see what I was looking at, and in that instance, I carefully and gently threw the snow at her face. She slowly turned back around, and she was not amused. Not at all.

"Oh come on.. Be a good sport. I only gave you a small  handful. You gave me a big one!" I said laughing at Athena's face. Athena, covered with snow, flew upward, and searched for another resting spot, eventually shaking off the remaining snow in her feathers while she was flying.

I go back out into the snow, and I go into the middle of the fresh fallen snow. I lay down on my back, and search the sky. This was peaceful. Just being out in the snow, focusing on the sky, I felt alone, for once.. Except I had Athena, which was not that big of a deal. The snow and coldness of winter didn't bother me one bit.

Athena eventually came and landed next to me. She spread her feathers out and layed on her back next to me too. She was like a fireplace, even if she was covered in snow.

It was quiet, peaceful, freedom, everything that could describe it was a low point word. It was more than these words. But then something interrupted the peace in the snow area. It was a bark, and I heard paws padding toward us..
