I breathe. I can't even breathe really.

"Scarlet! We're here!" Iron Spider jumps down.

"Spidey! What happened to him?!" Venom asks running over.

"He's dead." She stands up.

I look down.

"What?! No! Scarlet?" Venom asks.

"Scarlet?" Iron Spider cocks his head.

I nod.

"No... no. It can't be, right Scarlet?" Venom asks.

I'm so sorry. I just look down. 

"What the heck did you do to him lady?!" Iron Spider asks.

"I admit, I was paid to kill him but-" She starts.

"That's it! I am going to kill her!" Venom yells.

She looks at me.

"He had a chance to kill me... why didn't he?" She asks.

"Because he's a goddamn hero." I say.

She looks down. He's gone.

"What are we going to tell Aunt May?" Iron Spider asks.

"Nothing. Move." She pushes Iron Spider.

"Ghay!" He squashes Venom.

"If you touch him, I swear-" I take out a stinger.

"I'm not going to kill him. I'm going to save him." She reaches her hand out.

Her eyes start glowing white. I look down. I see the sword twitching. My eyes widen. She yanks her hand back. The sword goes flying out of his side. I watch as the shadows start shifting. They were moving off of him. It's like a tide receding. I watch as the shadow forms a small flower on his neck. His eyes move. He starts flinching. 

"Looks like he'll make it." She smiles.

"Punk!" I hug him tightly. 

He hugs me as well.

"Man! I am never going to lose you again!" I yell.

I look at him. Wait...

"Are you gonna crack up?" I ask.

His mouth moves but nothing comes out. He puts his hand on his throat.

"You... can't speak?" I ask.

He shakes his head. I pick his arm up. 

"We better get you to shield." I say.
