Avni walked into her room like a zombie her eyes swollen and red due to constant crying, Her face held no emotion as she dwelled absolutely in her thoughts. Guilt had engulfed her into itself as she realised Neil needed love and not what she had been doing with him for the past three months.

She thought how she didn't realise his condition before today morning, those prominent dark circles, that pale face. She did notice them but never paid much heed to it as she was completely blinded in the game of revenge.

She spent about an hour in her room until she finally walked out from her room, to find Ali seated on the dining table. His hands folded and his eyes closed.

Avni went and sat down beside him. It was then when Neil also came out of his room .

Ali and Avni both got up and Ali rushed towards him and pulled him into a bone crashing hug. Neil hugged him back a broad beam adorning his face.

Coming out out of the hug Ali slapped Neil hard on his cheek. Neil who was shocked held his cheek and looked at Ali with a confused expression. He rubbed his hand across his cheek as he felt the pain.

"What..?" Neil began, when Ali gifted him with another slap on his face. But this one was a light one . Ali held his collar, tears brimming from his, "Why are you doing this to me and to yourself Neil?"

He asked utter disappointment reflecting from his eyes. "I'd told you to take care of yourself and you look at yourself. What have you made of yourself! You look like a you've freakin got up from your grave right now. "

Neil laughed at the last line, then he held his ears and like a kid looked towards Ali his eyes shining as he asked for forgiveness. Ali couldnt resist his puppy eyes and both of them began laughing . Ali pulled Neil in for another tight hug. He rubbed Neil's back, as if consoling both himself and Neil that everything will be okay.

Avni who witnessed the entire the scene could feel tears flooding her eyes as well but with a smile hovered on her face. She couldn't help but admire the bond they shared.

Avni turned the knob of the door and quietly entered Neil's room to find him sleeping peacefully like a kid, his mouth slightly opened and exhaustion clearly marked on his face.

Avni moved towards his bed and sat down near him. She held his hand in hers, and with her other hand she played with his hair gently.

"I'm sorry, she muttered. What you did to me was surely not good Neil. But I cant forgive myself for what I did to you. I will make sure I get you out of your darkness, your depression . I will make sure you live a happy life . With me." A warm smile crept on her face as she uttered the last line "with me".

"I cant change what happened in the past, but I can make the present better. I will make you feel your very existence , and that life is worth living. It's just that you have to try. You should never stop. The moment you do. It's the end . Game over. But for you Neil it isnt. Our journey has just began, we cant let things be over this soon. We have to make sure that we grow old together." And she giggled slightly as she thought of growing old with Neil.

"We are supposed to have lots of cute children . We are supposed to go on outings , for long car drives . We are supposed to live Neil. It's just that you have to hold my hand, give me another chance." She muttered still holding his hand in hers.

Neil's grip around her hands tightened as if saying that he is with her. He is ready to give her a chance. He is ready to give them, their relationship a chance. His life a chance. Just once more he wants to live. Avni's face flashed a bright smile, her heart filled with optimism and new Hope's.

She leaned down and placed a soft gentle kiss on her forehead, reflecting the immense care and concern she had for me.

Neil pulled her towards him in his sleep, his hands now around her waist. She felt her insides feeling the peace and serenity. Closing her eyes, she snuggled into him. And both of them slept peacefully that night in each others embrace.

This was the first night after their marriage night that they were sleeping together. It was very special for her. Infact everything about them was special. The moonlight splashed through the pink nude curtains as she slipped into her lala land.
