Your pov,

Having logged out in the game,I found myself in Jack's room again.I looked over at Jack who was still in his VR goggles on.

I looked around saw Anna on the other side of the room,holding my phone.
"Hey (n/n),congratulations on finishing the quest,"Anna said as I walked uo to her.

"Thanks!Boy,that was tough!Luckily,Jack helped me a lot,"I said.
"But,why is Jack on his own with the bandits?"Anna asked and I gasped.

"Oh,no.He's still there?!He told me to go ahead first!"I said starting to get worrried.
"He is sacrificing himself for you?Wow,I never thought he would do that for you.Guess he really likes you,(Y/n).
Here,"Anna said as she gave me my phone.

I saw that there was one missed call from my mom and I gasped.I have to go.
"I have to go.The last thing I want is for my mok to go to the library and find out that I am not there,"I said,sighing.

Anna looked at me with an understanding look.
"Go,we got your back.Call me when you need to make an excuse with,"Anna said as she held my shoulder.
"I own you so much,Anna.You do a lot for me.I promise I will make it up to you,one day,"I said and she smiled.

Suddenly,she gasped and pointed to the mornitor.I gasped when I saw Jack running out of stamina,fighting the bandits.
"I am gonna jump in and help that guy,"Anna said.
"I wish I could help him.But,I have to go,"I said,frowning as I wish I could jump in and help.

It has been three hours since I told my mom that I was going to the library with Anna.
And I couldn't stay any longer.
"Please call me when you are done,"I said and Anna smiled as she nodded.

I looked at Jack one last time before I went out and quickly started running all the way to my house.

At 10:00 P.M,

I got back later than usual and I wasn't surprise to find my mom in my room.She has been waiting for me.
"(Y/n),you're late!"she said as soon as she saw me.

"I am sorry,mom.I lost the track of time.I was studying and then,I met..."I said but,she cut me off.
"(Y/n),are you aware that you're on the way of losing my trust completedly?"

I looked down.I was left with no excuse.
"It's late.You should head to bed now.Next time,you won't be allowed to go out late at night.Not even when it has something to do with school,"she said and I just nodded.

"I hope you've at least done your homework in the library.Show me what you did in last class,"she said and I turned around completedly confused as I tried to rember where I'd left my backpack.

And then,it finally dawn on me and I felt completedly powerless.I left my backpack at Jack's place.Dang!

"Oh,no,mom!I think I left my backpack  somewhere!"I said and she frowned.
"(Y/n),you're always so careless!Maybe,Anna has it?Why not try to call her?"mom said.

"I'll do it in the morning.She said she was gonna sleep as soon as she gets home,"I said and she looked at me with a look of not belieeving me completedly.

"I hope you really mean it,(Y/n),"she said and I smiled at her.
"Of course,mom.I mean it,"I said and in order to soften her up,I went closer to her and hugged her like I used to when I was young.

The moment I smelled her perfume,my childhood memories start coming back to me.I felt like a little girl again who used to enjoy her mother's attention only on rare occasions.

Back then,I would sit in her lap,smell her perfume and feel my mom and secrued.
Now,mom hugged me back and kissed me on the forehead just like she used to.

"Come on,it's late and I must go to bed.I will bring you hot chocolate.Go to bed as soon as you drink it,"she said and I smiled and nodded.

Luckily,I avoided punishment and even made my mom content.Smiling and lying at the same time is really hard.One lie led to another that was bound to have consequences.

At 1:00 A.M,

I sighed.I can't fall asleep.
I am dying of curiosity!
What happen in Shadowtime after I left?
Is Jack ok??

I didn't have many options.
Calling someone in the middle of the night wasn't really one of them.I could try to get some infos.

Nervously,I grabbed my phone and decided to text Jack,asking him if everything was ok.
Minuted went by in suspence but,nothing happened.My eyes started to get heavy and soon,I fell asleep with my phone in my hand.

In the morning,

"(Y/n),are you up?"mom asked as she walked into my room.
I have just changed into my uniform.
"Good morning,mom,"I said as I turned to her.

"Good morning,I thought you overslept.You were suppose to get up early,"she said.
"I am sorry.I was just tired,"I said.
"Well,now,chop,chop,I am gonna go check on Anna about your backpack,"she said.

Oh,no.I am doomed!

Before I could say anything,the door bell rang and mom went to get it immediately.
I heard her talking to someone as I did my hair.

Then,she came in with Anna.
"Oh,Anna.(Y/n)'s become so irresponsible lately,"my mom said and I sighed.
"She thinks I am irresponsible cuz,I let my backpack somewehere with my books in it,"I said and Anna made an ohh face.

"You see about that,Mrs.(L/n),we have been under so much pressure lately,my sister picked us from the library and I was talking to (Y/n),the whole time and forgot that I put her backpacks in the back of the car while we dropped her here,"Anna said as she handed  me my backpack.

She winked at me secretly.
She is such a life savior!
My mom chuckled as she shook her head.
"If that's so,Anna,you girls are scattered brain.I don't know what has gotten into you two,"she said and Anna and I laughed nervously.

"You two used to be responsible kids.Amd now,you two are acting like some in love teenagers,"mom added and we both blushed since Anna and I have crushes on certain guys.

"Haha,I admit it we are both to blame,"Anna said as she smiled at me.
I smirked at her knowing that she is in love with the guy called Kristoff and she laughed.

And me,I was in love with Jack Frost.

After that,Anna and I left my house,chatting random stuff.Even the road to school was shorter than usual.

I have so may reasons to celebrate.
I earned a reward,played Shadowtime again and I got to spend alone time with Jack.

I managed to escape being grounded because of the backpack.
Anna was always there for me whenever I needed.She always knew when and how to do the next righ thing.

She was like my guardian angel.
Just then,Kristoff walked up to us,looking at Anna,blushing.
He asked Anna if she wanna go watch a movie with him after the school tomorrow and Anna was blushing like crazy as she sutter for an answer.

I smirked and nudged her to Kristoff as I quickly ran away,giggling.I ship them!
Just then,I received an email regarding my reward.
Woo hoo!
It says that I should go to the nearby video store and leave my contact info.
They are gonna transfer money to me in the shortest time!

Later that day,

This whole day was unusal to me.
I have just left school.I don't seem to mind the crowd like usual.And the people buzzing around me in a hurry.
And I was thinking about Jack.

I was also walking in a hurry confidently and I like it.Anna was telling me to slow down but,I really want to get my reward as soon as possible.

Soon,we arrived to the video store and I only stopped when I saw Jack leaning on the wall of the store.

He stopped me without touching me physically and he looked us he smiled at me.
"Hey,snowflake.This morning,you were rushing to school and now,you're rushing to pick your reward.You forg-"he stopped when I ran towards him and hugged him so tight,happy to see that he was ok.

He seemes to be shocked as I held him tight.I knew what he was about to tell.
"I didn't forget about you.I only got other piorities to do.I am so glad that you're ok!I have been thinking about you the whole day!"I said.

Just then,Anna smirked at me,appearing beside me.
"Oh,ho~Lovers!"she said and I quickly pulled away from Jack,blushing a mess.

"It doesn't concern you,Anna!"Jack said,blushing.
"Ooh...of course,it does,"Anna said and they started arguing.

"You guys,calm down and step aside.I really want to get my reward,"I said as I ran intot he store,leaving the two alone.I did not want ro ruin my mood with their fighting.

A few minutes later,

I smiled happily as I finally gave my contact info to the store.
"It's done!It's done,it's done!The money will be transferred soon!"I said as I walked up to Anna and Jack.

"Great!I expect a treat from my snowflake.You would have never played without my equipment,"Jack said.
"Hey,you got so many extra tips from me!so,we are through,"Anna said,shooting a glare at Jack.

"Both of you,stop!What's going on?!"I asked,wanting to know why they were arguing.
Anna sighed.
"Ok,I wil tell you all,promise me you won't blame yourself and freak out,"Anna said and I knew something was off.

I went horrified when I learned what happened after I left the game.
Apparently,my conpanion was seriously wounded and he lost all of his gold coins.Anna jumped in to help but,they were trapped again and managed to escape barely.

They could have lost their lives.
"Oh,no.It's my fault!"I said,looking down.
"It's not your fault,snowflake.If it were to blame,it's us,"Jack said.

"We have to get into the game and get it back.They have to have a camp somewhere in the woods!And don't forget that I have the token of invisibility,"I said and Anna smiled.

"I will find out everuthing about thier camp in no time,"Anna said.
"Only you need my equipment again,"Jack said,sighing.

"If you don't want to lend me your equipment,I can get a new one,"I said and Anna looked at me shocked.
"(Y/n),you know you can't spend your money just like that!Jack,she has a reason for playing Shadowtime,"Anna said.

"No,that's not what I mean.What I mean is..."Jack said as he took a step closer to me and looked at me in the eyes.
"I have known you for a while,(Y/n).
But,I keep forgetting about how little I acutally know about you,"he said.

"It's alright.You couldn't have known,"I said,smiling at Jack.We don't even have a normal chat about our lives really before.
Then,Jack smiled as he took another step closer to me,not breaking an eye contact.
"(Y/n),I want to get to know to you more.I am starting to feel jealous because Anna knows almost everything about you and me?I know nothing at all,"Jack said,
looking at me very seriously.

I started blushing.
"J-jealous?"I said as I felt my heart started to beat very fast.He wants to know more about me?!

"Hmm...I thought we were talking about the game,"Anna said,smirking as she nudged my shoulder,teasing me.

"Haha,sorry,my attention shifited.But,really (Y/n),I like you ever since that day we bumped into each other and when I realize that you were the (Y/n) in the game who caught my attention immediately,I want nothing but to,get to know to you more,"Jack said.

"Wait...you two have met in game before?!"Anna asked looking at me.
I laughed nervously,I forgot to tell her that.

"Yeah,but,he didn't recognize me,"I said and she looked at me with a sly smile as if she was telling me "you sneaky little devil!".

"And I owe you an apology for my behavior back then,"Jack apologized,scratching the back of his neck and I giggled.
"It's ok,"I said,blushing.

Just then,my phone rang and I picked it up.
"Hi,mom!"I greeted her,happily.
"(Y/n),did you get back home from school?"

"I haven't gone home yet.But,I can be there soon"

"You don't have to go home.Come to the restaurant and have lunch with me"

"Ok,mom.See you there,"I said and when I hung up,I noticed both Anna and Jack were looking at me.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"I asked,confused.

"Your mom called,is everything ok,(Y/n)?I hope she didn't find put where you were last night,"Anna said,worried.
"So...your mom is really strict,too bad,"Jack said,looking down.

"Yeah,she's strict.That's why I can't stay here anymore.I am going to have lunch with her,"I said.

"Alright,see you tomorrow them!"Anna said and I nodded.
"See you soon,snowflake,I really hope we can hang out sometimes,"Jack said,smiling at me.
"Me too.Bye Jack.Bye Anna!"I said as I waved and quickly started running to the restaurant.

Soon,I reached there and walked up to my mom who has already taken a table.I sat down in front of her.
"(Y/n),you came,"mom said.
"Hi mom,I came as fast as I can,"I said and she smiled.

"Inwanted to have luch together with you,so,we can spend some time together,"she said.
"That would be wonderful,mom!"I said,happily.

"I am glad to see you in a good mood.Does anyone have to do it?"mom asked,raising a brow.
I giggled.
"No,mom.I am just happy today for no reason,"I said.

Actually,I was happy because of the reward but,mostly because of Jack's words earlier ago.

"I saw your grades and I am very content with you,"mom said,smiling.
"Thanks,mom.I am trying,"I said.

Finally,everything was going so well like a dream and I am feeling very great.I was even thinking that mom would return my equipment for sure for virtual reality as soon as she sees my success at school.

At the moment,somebody's phone started ringing.
"Oh,that would be my phone.I didn't turn it on silent cuz,I am expecting an important call,"mom said.
"I think it would be me,mom.I am expecting a message too,"I said as she took out her phone and checked it.

Of course,I am well prepared for what I did.
I wasn't my email that I gave at the store.I gave my mom's email,so,I can settle this and expalin to her.
I don't want to lie to her anymore.

My mom's facial expression completedly changed.
"(Y/n),can you explain this?!"she said as she narrowed her eyes and placed her phone on the table where I can see clearly that my Shadowtime game reward was transferred to her bank account.

Apart from the money that was transferred to her account,it was also said that the sender was  The Shadowtime Tournament.

"(Y/n),look at me!How come I receive that money?"she said,shocked.
"Because I've won a reward in Shadowtime Tournament,mom,"I said looking at her.

She  slammed her hand on the table and the next thing was very clear,she started yelling at me,drawing attention from so many people.

I wasn't embrassed because they were staring at me but,because my mom did not appreciate my help.It hurts a lot.

"I can tell you.I can do anything.i can ground you but,you'd still find a way to do what you want,"mom said,frowning.

I took a deep breathe and spoke.
"Forgive me,mom.We needed that money.I can help you but,your pride-"

"It was a matter of principles.You didn't respect our deal,"mom cut me off.
"No,mom,we didn't have a deal and I didn't do anything wrong,"I said,holding my tears back as best as I can.

We were in a restaurant and that was the only thing preventing mom from making a scene.That was a blessing disguise who knows how far our fight could go.

Mom was telling me off so bad but,I was no longer listening to her when I saw Jack approaching us.

"Hi,(Y/n),"Jack said,simply.
"H-hey,"I said as I turned away not wanting him to see my teary eyes right now.
"You are sad...who would have thought you'd be more happier in the virtual world than the real world?"Jack said and I looked at him,shocked.

Then,I looked at my mom who was looking at him with great curiosity.Jack simply laid all my cards on the table.There were no more secrets.
