I woke up in the middle of the night after a terrible nightmare. I couldn't stop thinking about I needed to get my mind off of things. As I looked in the fridge, I saw no food left. "Off to the store again" I sigh. I go to my room and change into something comfortable and take my car keys and leave. As soon as I got to the store, I saw a pretty diamond necklace on sale in a jewelry store. I knew I could never afford it or could i.... I sigh stealing had never been any of my "Hobbies" but since I was extremely good at it, It was a fun pass time and it earned me money from people who wanted me to "Work" for them. I always refused being teamed up with people to steal something if there's one thing I've learned is that I work alone. I better get busy planning if I want to steal the necklace tonight....

(7 hours later)
I have my stuff ready and I'm all set for the task. As the clock strikes 12:30 I make my move. I walk around in the dark and start to look at the store. It doesn't seem to have any Cameras. "That's odd...they usually have some kind of camera or video surveillance system... Something is not right. Who in their right mind leaves their jewelry store like that without alarms or Surveillance system...
Well this will make my job simple and easy..."
I check the door of the store only to find its locked and there is no way of picking through the lock of this one."Curse you and your old type of door locks!"
I look around and notice a old abandoned building with a rooftop taller than the jewelry store's. "Jackpot!" As I climb the rooftop I look at the distance between the rooftops. "Great I'm just going to have to get a head start..." I walk over to the other side of the rooftop and start to run and then jump, doing a sumer salt in the air before landing on the roof of the Jewelry store "That went better than expected..." I climb through the vents and finally make it inside. I look around and see the necklace I saw earlier this evening. I grab it and as soon as I touch it I feel a sharp pain on the back of my neck and I blackout.

And that finishes the first chapter of Shadow Thieves. BTW this book will not only be about Amber it will also be about 7 more Characters (You will find out who they are later... Well in the next seven chapters) and when you see this: "words and more words." It means the Characters thoughts if you were wondering.
