Seven- USJ
The next morning, suspiciously, went without incident. Before Narako knew it, the morning was over and it was time for afternoon classes. However, instead of All Might at the desk facing the class for Basic Hero Training, it was Aizawa. "Today's training'll be a little different... You'll have 3 instructors: Me, All Might and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you." More than likely because of the break in, and both Principal Nezu and my own suspicions about who is responsible... Narako thought before Sero raised his hand.
"Uh, sir? What kind of training is this?" He asked. Aizawa held up a card with the answer.
"Rescue. You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that." He responded. Narako smiled the same time Midoriya did. She knew he'd been waiting for this type of training. This was where he was bound to excell.
"Disasters, huh? Sounds like we're in for a big workout." Kaminari commented.
"Totally!" Mina exclaimed in excitement.
"Real hero stuff. This is what separates the men from the boys. I'm shaking with excitement." Kirishima put in.
"Finally, I'll get to show off how good I am in water, ribbit." Asui added.
"Guys, I'm not finished yet." Aizawa continued, capturing the class' attention once more. "What you wear in this exercise is up to you, I know you're excited about costumes." He pressed a button and the cases with 1-22 slid out once again. "But keep in mind that you haven't gotten used to them yet, and they might limit your abilities." He looked at the class again. "This special training is at an off campus facility, so we'll be taking a bus to get there. That's all, start getting ready." As Aizawa walked out of the room, everyone stood from their seats to grab their costumes. All that is... Except Midoriya. Narako had been about to ask Midoriya why he wasn't grabbing his costume when she remembered the combat training that had taken place just 3 days before. At the busses, Midoriya was in his PE clothes while everyone else was wearing their costumes.
Out of habit, Narako and Bakugou ended up sitting next to each other on the bus, Jirou on Narako's other side, meanwhile Sami and Kirishima ended up next to each other, talking excitedly and being cute together. It was honestly driving Narako crazy that the two weren't a couple yet... "The bus's open layout plan ruined my boarding strategy." Iida sweatdropped.
"Iida, you really need to chill." Mina told him.
"If we're pointing out the obvious, then there's something I wanna say..." Asui turned to Midoriya. "About you, actually." She said. Midoriya's eyes instantly went wide.
"About me? What is it, Asui?" He asked.
"I told you to call me Su." She corrected him, making him sweatdrop.
"Oh, right..." He trailed off before Asui answered his question.
"That power of yours... Isn't it a lot like All Might's?" Asui asked.
"What? Really? You think so, huh? I never really thought about that. I guess it's kinda similar..."
"Wait, hold on, Su." Kirishima turned to Asui while Midoriya kept rambling on. "You're forgetting All Might doesn't hurt himself... That makes a huge difference." He told her. Narako could have sworn she heard a giant sigh of relief come from Midoriya, but Kirishima wasn't done talking. "Still, I bet it's cool to have a simple augmenting type Quirk... You could do a lot of flashy stuff with it." He held up his arm and activated his quirk. "My hardening's super strong and can destroy bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive."
"Oh, no way, I think it's really awesome looking. You're definitely pro material with a quirk like that." Midoriya told him.
"You really think so? Seems like it'd be easier to be a more popular hero if I had something flashier..." Kirishima asked.
"Better listen to him, he's right. You know how many people you could protect and how many bad guys you could take out with this cool of a quirk?" Sami asked him. Kirishima blushed a little.
"My navel laser's got the perfect combination of panache and strength." Aoyama put in. Mina put a hand on his shoulder.
"But, it's way lame if it gives you a stomach ache, sweetie." She pointed out, causing him to deadpan and Narako to snicker. Kirishima glanced over in her direction.
"Well, if any of our classmates have pro quirks, it's Todoroki, Bakugou and Matsuko." Kirishima pointed out. Bakugou, who had been glancing out the window, looked over at Kirishima when he heard his name before growling a bit and looking out the window again.
"Whoa, wait a minute, how is my quirk..." Narako started, but was interrupted by Sami.
"Um, hello? The shadow clones, able to copy someone's quirk for a few minutes, the shadow tentacles, shadow teleportation..." The more parts to her quirk Sami named off, the brighter red Narako got. "Need I say more?"
"A majority of that can only be controlled with my voice or the shadow guitar, and I need my voice to even make the damn thing anyways." Narako pointed out.
"It's still a cool quirk." Kirishima put in. Narako sat back and crossed her arms over her chest, looking off to the side.
"You haven't seen it out of control yet..." She trailed off under her breath, Bakugou glancing at her due to him hearing her.
"Sure, but Bakugou's always angry, so he'll never be that popular." Asui commented. Bakugou jumped out of his seat despite Narako's best efforts to keep him down.
"What did you say?! I'll kick your ass!" He snapped. Asui merely pointed at him.
"See?" She asked.
"You know, we basically just met you.... So it's kinda telling that we all know your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage." Kaminari put in, only pissing off Bakugou more.
"You'll regret the day you applied to this school, you loser! I'll kill you!" Bakugou yelled, trying to get to Kaminari with Narako holding him back.
"Bakugou, sit down and chill the fuck out." Narako told him before turning her attention to Kaminari. "And if you say one more goddman word, I'll kick your ass, got it." She snarled before sitting back down in her seat as the conversation continued.
"Hey, hey, we're here. Stop messing around." A few words from Aizawa ended the conversation.
"Yes, sir." The whole bus echoed. Narako felt something warm on her hand and looked to see a hand on hers. Resisting the urge to blush, she looked up and realized that the hand belonged to Bakugou, who was currently avoiding looking at her. She gave his hand a small squeeze as her and Jirou stood up, Bakugou right behind her. She glanced over at Kirishima and Sami in time to see Kirishima offer his arm like a gentleman to escort Sami off the bus. The action caused Sami to blush with a giggle slipping out as she took his arm. Narako softly chuckled a bit and shook her head. Kirishima was probably the goofiest guy she knew, but it was good to know that Sami would be in good hands if the two ever started dating...
"Hello, everyone! I've been waiting for you." Once off the bus, Narako recognized the hero before her as the rescue hero Thirteen, which caused everyone to gasp in excitement.
"It's the Space Hero, Thirteen. The chivalrous pro who's rescued a ton of people from disasters across the world!" Midoriya spoke up, the excitement and attempt not to fanboy apparent in his voice.
"Whoo hoo! Thirteen is my favorite hero!" Ururaka exclaimed in excitement as Midoriya had his hands over his mouth to keep from fanboying more than he already had.
"I can't wait to show you what's inside!" Thirteen gestured with a hand towards the doors.
"This is gonna be awesome!" Everyone chorused at the same time. The excitement only got more apparent once everyone stepped inside.
"Holy crap, it looks like some kind of an amusement park!" Kaminari exclaimed.
"A shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm, etc... I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters. I call it... The Unforseen Simulation Joint, but you can call it USJ!" Thirteen told them. Everyone deadpanned.
Just like Universal Studios Japan... Narako thought. Aizawa looked around.
"Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already? Let me guess... He booked an interview instead?" He asked.
"Actually, it's something else..." Thirteen replied before stepping closer to Aizawa and saying something Narako barely heard but caught Thirteen holding up the number 3.
"That man is the height of irresponsibility..." Aizawa trailed off before turning to the class. "Clock's ticking, let's get started."
"Excellent! Before we begin, let me just say one thing... Well, maybe two things... Possibly three... Four... Five..." Everyone deadpanned again before Narako got a chill down her spine, her eyes shooting wide open. The last time she had gotten this feeling... No one seemed to notice as the rest of the class chimed,
"We get it!" At the same time, and due to Thirteen continuing, Narako didn't have time to process the feeling.
"Listen carefully... I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful quirk. It's called Black Hole. I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust." Thirteen began. Ururaka nodded enthusiastically while Midoriya spoke up.
"Yeah, you've used Black Hole to save people from all kinds of disasters before, haven't you?" He asked.
"Fanboy." Narako covered up with a cough, causing Bakugou to have to hide a snicker.
"That's true... But my quirk could also very easily be used to kill." Thirteen replied, causing Ururaka to stop nodding with a shocked look on her face, the others except for Narako having the same look.
"Right, because Black Hole can turn anything into dust, that includes people." Narako put in.
"Right you are, Matsuko." Thirteen said before continuing. "Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous... In our superhuman society, all quirks are certified and strenuously regulated so we often overlook how unsafe it can actually be. Please don't forget that if you loose focus or make the wrong move, your powers can be deadly, even if you're trying to do something virtuous like rescuing someone. Thanks to Aizawa's fitness tests, you have a solid idea of your quirk's potential, and because of All Might's combat training, you likely experienced how dangerous your powers can be when used against other people. Carry those lessons into this class. Today, you're going to learn how to use your quirks to save people's lives. You won't be using your powers to attack enemies or each other, only to help... After all, that's what being a hero is all about: Ensuring the safety of others." Thirteen gave a bow. "That's all I have to say. Thank you so much for listening." Everyone cheered but Narako, who gained the same chill up her spine from moments before, only worse.
"No..." She whispered under her breath, no one hearing her.
"Right, now that that's over...." He pointed toward the training grounds, but before anything else could be said, the lights shorted out, catching everyone's attention before the waterfall in the central plaza sputtered. Narako grit her teeth in pain as the chill turned into a searing pain, causing her to fall to one knee and catching Sami's attention.
"Narako, you okay?" Sami asked as she knelt by her friend, but Narako didn't get a chance to respond as the ebony and teal haired female looked up in time to see some kind of portal opening up from in front of the fountain. Narako's eyes widened when a figure appeared next to the portal, his body wiping the same color as the portal beside him.
"What... the hell?" She asked, voicing everyone's thoughts. Aizawa turned in time to see a pale hand emerging from the portal before a head of light blue hair with a grey hand over it came into view. Aizawa turned back to the class, his voice stern.
"Stay together and don't move." He warned. He got into a fighting stance. "Thirteen, protect the students." Kirishima turned his glance from the teachers to something across the facility from him.
"Whoa, what is that thing?" Kirishima asked, turning Midoriya and Uraraka's attention to what he was looking at. The portal had spread wide enough to be a wall. As Sami helped Narako back to her feet, the girls watched with goosebumps as a young man emerged followed by an army of quirk users. One of the men Narako recognized automatically as the man who had appeared in her apartment the night of the Sludge Villain attack. Kirishima took a step forward, absentmindedly putting Sami half behind him protectively. "Wait, has the training started already? I thought we were rescuing people..." Just as Midoriya started to step forward, Aizawa's voice rang out.
"Stay back!" He barked in warning, causing Midoriya to look over at their teacher just as Aizawa put his signature goggles on his face, obviously prepared for a fight. "This is real... Those are villains." Everyone blinked in shock but Narako, who was focused on the man she had seen before. The same red hood, shadows covering his face... She knew she had seen a similar costume before besides when he showed up in her apartment... But where? She noticed he was beside the man who caused the portals and a man who didn't older than 20. The "leader", if you could even call him that, had hands all over his body, messy gray-blue hair, and Narako could have sworn she saw red eyes gazing out among the students from behind the hand that was on his face.
"The only real heroes I see are Thirteen and Eraserhead." The Warp Gate guy observed, looking over the students before his eyes landed right on Narako. "Perplexing... The schedule we retrieved from U.A. said All Might should be here as well...." Eraserhead stepped up.
"So, you scumbags used the press as a cover and sneaked onto campus." Eraserhead spoke up as the villains beside the main three men and a girl looking no older than the leader stepped toward them.
"Where is he? I went through the trouble of bringing so many friends who are eager to meet him. They want All Might, the great Symbol of Peace... I can't believe he's not here." He held out his arms, careful not to touch either of his comrades, something that didn't miss Narako's eye. So I was right... He's the one who broke the gates... The one with the decaying quirk... She thought as the male continued. "Maybe if I kill a few kids, he'll come out to play." He threatened. The action caused Aizawa's hair and scarf to float upward, a sign that his quirk had been activated.
"What? Real villains? No way, how could so many villains get into a U.A. facility this secure?" Kirishima spoke up.
"Yeah, Thirteen." Yayorozu stepped to be beside Iida and getting the pro hero's attention. "Why aren't the alarms going off?"
"Good question... I'm not sure." Thirteen's answer didn't exactly put anyone at ease.
"Is the entire campus under attack or is this their only target?" Todoroki asked. "Either way, if the alarm sensors aren't being triggered, then one of these villains must have a quirk that's masking their prescence here. They carefully chose this facility as an entry point at a time when a class was being taught... They're fools for trespassing here, but they've thought this out. Whatever their plan, they must have a concrete objective in mind... But what is it?" He asked.
"Thirteen, get them out of here, and alert the main campus. Actually... If they've got the ability to block our sensors...."
"One of them has a signal jamming quirk." Narako's voice interrupted their teacher, causing all eyes in the group to turn to her to find that her own were on the villains. She looked at their teacher. "It's the only reasonable way I can think of that they could've gotten in without the sensors being triggered, which means they're also blocking at least the main means of communication so we can't call for backup." Narako realized the same moment Aizawa was about to say it. "It's more than possible that the villain responsible for that is an electric type like Kaminari."
"Kaminari, try using your quirk to contact the school." Aizawa ordered Kaminari, who immediately complied with a,
"Yes, sir."
"What're you gonna do?" Midoriya asked. "You can't fight them on your own, there's too many of them. Even if you can nullify their quirks, your fighting style's not suited for this. Your power does best in stealth and one on one fights. It's not gonna help with a group..." Aizawa looked at Midoriya, which instantly made the boy shut up.
"You can't be a pro if you only have one trick." Aizawa told him, making the boy's head snap up from looking at the ground. Aizawa then turned to Thirteen. "I'll leave it to you, Thirteen." He spoke. With a nod from Thirteen, Aizawa jumped into the fight, beginning to effortlessly take down the villains coming at him. I seriously need to get some combat training from him... Narako thought. Narako caught sight of the leader scratching at his neck with two fingers and his thumb as he watched, Narako realizing he needed all five of his fingers to touch something in order to decay it. He was getting annoyed from the looks of things...
"Whoa, he's holding them off... I guess I shouldn't have underestimated him." Midoriya said as he watched the fight from Narako's side.
"This is no time to be analyzing, we have to go!" Iida snapped the two out of their trance, the two running to catch up to the others. Just as they did, the Warp Gate villain appeared in front of them, Thirteen making everyone stop.
"There is no escape for you." He snarled, Aizawa noticing the predicament the students were now in. Damn... I blinked and the guy who seems like the most trouble got away... He thought as he continued to fight. "It's a pleasure to meet you... We are the League of Villains. I know it's impolite, but we decided to invite ourselves into this haven of justice to say hello. And besides, isn't this a fitting place for All Might, the Symbol of Peace, to take his last breath?" He asked. Narako growled, Bakugou and Midoriya both jumping a bit when they saw a shadow aura around her. She was obviously pissed, more pissed than they had ever seen her. Sami noticed her friend and looked alarmed at the state she was in. What was going on with her? The villain didn't seem to notice as he continued. "I believe he was subscene..." He sighed, his wisping arms seeming to raise. "Well, in the end, I suppose it doesn't matter... I still have a roll to play..." Before Thirteen could do anything, a battle cry left Kirishima as he, Bakugou and Narako charged.
"Narako!" Sami called her friend, but the shadow aura was causing Narako to move faster than she ever had.
"What the hell makes you think we'll let you kill All Might?!" Narako snarled as they attacked, Bakugou's explosion causing smoke to go everywhere.
"Did you think we were just gonna stand around and let you tear this place to shreds?" Kirishima asked as he, Bakugou and Narako stood shoulder to shoulder in front of the class. But....
"You live up to your school's reputation." The villain's voice sounded as the smoke cleared, revealing that the attack had merely shown some kind of neck armor, not hurting the villain in the least. "But you should be more careful, children... Otherwise, someone might get hurt."
"You three," Thirteen's voice sounded from behind them, causing them to turn around to see one of the fingers of her suit were open and pointed at the villain. "Get out of the way right now!" She warned.
"I'll scatter you across this facility, to meet my comrades... and your death!" The villain launched an attack as he spoke, Narako crossing her arms in front of her. The shadows filled her bracers just as the hit landed, though the force of it started to push her back, making her grit her teeth and straining her power in order to stand her ground.
"Crap! What is this?!" Narako could barely hear Kirishima over the wind that was blowing through. As far as she could tell, the attack had surrounded their classmates... They were in trouble. She felt her feet leave the ground before the sight before her changed, showing one of the training grounds, though she couldn't tell which one it was. As far as allies went, she was on her own... And against a group of at least seven villains, one of them being the man she had seen just a few days before.
"Take her down." The villain spoke softly, causing the villains surrounding her to charge. Narako quickly sang her guitar into her hands before playing the intro riff to Rock You Like a Hurricane by the Scorpions, which helped her dodge each attack before countering as she began singing the first verse, the attacks growing faster with the beat of the song.
Damn, she's got a voice... But she's managing to control the shadows with it... What is this kid? He thought. No way this could be his kid... Right?
Narako noticed that one of the villains attacking her had a shadow quirk like hers, but he was covered in shadow.
"Remember me?" His voice sounded a little too insane for her liking and Narako quickly realized that it was the kid who had attacked Sami the day of the entrance exams... He couldn't get into U.A., so he decided to be a villain? Narako thought, mentally deadpanning but glaring at him.
"Well, hello, asshole." She greeted before the two fought, trading blows and dodging attacks. He was a lot stronger than the last time they fought, that much was certain... Narako then decided to try something and just as she hit the solo, she sped up her strumming, somehow managing to catch the guy off guard and land more than a few hits on him to get him knocked out. "Too bad you couldn't keep up with me." She taunted him as she continued to the next enemy.
By the time Narako finished the song, the villains who tried attacking her were out for the count. "You're fast, kid, I'll give you that." He held out his hand, shadows rising to meet it, forming a more badass looking shadow guitar into his hand as light glinted from where his mouth was, the man obviously smirking with his teeth grit. "But let's see how you do against me." Narako's eyes narrowed in a set glare.
"Bring it, old man." She challenged. The moment they struck the first note, the attacks clashed. The song they both played was somehow 'Devil Went Down to Georgia', but it was the cover by Primus...
Narako raised an eyebrow as she focused on playing, the attacks going at the same speed as the strumming and managing to connect each time. It wasn't too long before both had shadow auras, though the thought of this confused both of them. Just as they both hit the last note, their shadow guitars dissolved and they fought hand to hand.
Though Narako was faster with dodging, her opponent seemed to have more combat experience and got a couple hits on her despite her blocking with her quirk's power. One of the last blows he was able to land slammed her to the ground, causing the wind to be knocked out of her for a second and her hood flying off her head, showing her face. At the sight of her blue eyes, her opponent stopped short, seeming to freeze in place. Those sapphire eyes.... Seeing the opportunity she needed and gathering as much shadow power as she could, Narako let out a battle cry as she jumped to her feet and got a good hit in, knocking both the cloth covering his lower face and the hood off. He hit the ground face first with a groan.
"Nice shot, kid." He grunted, starting to get back up with his back turned to her.
"That's what you get for not paying attention to your opponent." She replied sassily as she stalked toward him, only to stop dead in her tracks when he turned around to face her.
A face identical to her teacher's stared back at her except... His jet black hair, the same shade of black as the base of her own, was much shorter. However, no facial hair made an appearance on his face, making him look younger... He still had dark circles under his eyes, the same grey eyes as Aizawa, like Aizawa did, showing years without sleep, and the look in his eyes caused her own to fill with tears. She didn't know why, but she felt like she had found a part of her that had been missing for nearly 15 years.
Aragami looked at the young woman before him. Her sapphire eyes, Zakaida's eyes, were filled with tears of disbelief and... He nearly grimmaced at the hurt he saw but he didn't blame her. Of her 15 years of life, he was never once physically there for her, now he was showing up and fighting against her... He wished he could explain everything, apologize and tell her why he had to leave... Why he couldn't be the father she deserved...
Meanwhile, near the exit, Shoji was using his limbs to look and listen for his classmates. He, Ururaka, Mina, Sato, Sero and Sami had all been pulled out of the 'Warping Dome' attack by Iida, but unfortunately the blue haired male hadn't been fast enough to get everyone else... "Shoji, got them? Anything? Where is everyone?" Iida asked his classmate.
"They've been scattered across the facility, but our classmates are still here." Shoji answered, a sigh of relief leaving Mina, Ururaka, Sato, Sero and Sami at the same time.
"What'd we do? The guy's not effected by physical attacks and... Can apparently teleport stuff?" Sero asked. The question caused Thirteen to think for a moment before speaking up.
"Class Rep." She turned to Iida, capturing the silver clad male's attention.
"Yes?" Iida asked.
"I have a job for you. Run to the school and tell the faculty what's going on here. The alarms aren't sounding, and our phones and radios are useless right now, which means Matsuko's thoughts on a villain being to blame for the signals being jammed is correct... Even though Eraserhead is cancelling people's quirks left and right, we're still completely sealed off from the outside world... It's likely that whoever is causing this interference hid as soon as they warped into the USJ. They could be anywhere, making them impossible to hunt down. It'll be faster for you to run and get help than for us to find whoever's jamming everything." Thirteen spoke, keeping her eyes trained on the Warp Villain.
"Yes, but it would be disgraceful for me to leave you all behind..." Iida started to protest before he was cut off by Sami.
"It would be even more disgraceful to sit here and do nothing, Iida. Besides, you're the only one who's fast enough to get there and come back with help in time." Sami told him.
"Exactly." Mina put in, backing up Sami.
"Go, Emergency Exit." Sato spoke up next. "There are lots of alarms outside, that's why they're keeping all of us trapped inside the USJ, right?" He asked as he got into a battle stance. Sero stepped up beside Sato and got into a ready position as well.
"As long as you can get outside, they won't follow. Blow this stupid mist away with those engine legs!" Sero added.
"Use your quirk to save others, be a real hero." Thirteen told Iida. Shoji stepped up to fight as well.
"I can help you out." Iida turned to see Ururaka, Mina and Sami behind him, all three side by side and looking pumped up. "Just like I did when I floated you in the cafeteria, okay? No prob. Please, Class Rep, do it." Ururaka begged him.
"You've got this, Iida." Sami encouraged him. He nodded and activated the engines on his legs, getting ready to take off.
"Even if this is your only option, are you really foolish enough to strategize in front of me?!" The Warp Villain asked as he launched an attack.
"It won't matter whether you know what we're planning or not when I'm done with you!" Thirteen replied as she activated her own quirk, beginning to suck up the Warp Villain. "Black Hole!" Sami glanced behind her, her eyes finding a shadow like aura shooting up. Narako... Sami thought worriedly. Was her friend okay? All she could do was hope that Narako was okay, but where were the rest of their class? Was Kirishima okay? Hell, were any of her classmates okay? She shook her head. Stay focused on the fight ahead of you, Sami. She thought, focusing her attention on the villain before her.
Kanashi Akuguro groaned as he came to. He should have known better than to drop his guard... It looked like more training with his adopted father was in order. He raised his head to see Aragami and the girl he had fought both frozen in a trance, identical looks of shock on their faces. He grit his teeth. What the hell was Aragami doing? He should be pummeling the girl into the ground right now while she was distracted... He got back up and launched himself at the girl with a roar, but instead of attacking her full on, he used the shadows on him to cage the girl just as she came to her senses. Narako was swept up in a shadow sphere in an instant, a prison that kept her body moving and her eye sight unfocused. Kanashi laughed. "Try escaping this one, kid! You've got nobody protecting you now! No friend helping you out!" He said as he kept her trapped. Keeping up his power, he glared at Aragami, who glared right back as he put his face cover back on, his hood torn to shreds.
Inside the sphere, Narako could barely focus. There has to be a way to break out of this. Narako thought before closing her eyes. "You know, it was really stupid trapping me in something related to my quirk!" She snapped, yelling so her opponent would hear her. Kanashi was shocked for a second but grit his teeth with a growl.
"You can't control it, idiot! I have the power here!" He yelled back, but his two second distraction had been enough for Narako to force the sphere to stay on solid ground. No longer spinning inside it and her feet planted firmly, she gathered as much strength as she could, the shadows swirling around her hands. She raised them to be above her head, crossing her wrists as she built up strength. Gritting her teeth, she let out the loudest cry she could manage at the top of her lungs as she moved her arms out wide. The resulting shockwave split the sphere and sent the shadows hurtling toward her opponent with incredible speed. Kanashi was barely able to get out an "Oh shit," before he was knocked into the air and flew several feet away. Aragami's eyes widened at what had occured in front of him. Had she really just combined his power with Zakaida's? If she had inherited both quirks, then...
Narako collapsed to her knees in exhaustion, gingerly touching her throat. Though the sonic blast that had erupted from her throat was a smaller scale version of her mother's signature Siren Cry, it was enough to weaken her at least a little. Her throat was hurting her, a tell tale sign that she had reached her limit. She looked up at Aragami, who's grey eyes were intently watching her. She forced herself to stand, a cough coming out as she prepared for another fight. But, to her surprise, Aragami was beginning to be consumed by the shadows around him, his eyes softening with an apologetic look, a look that held 15 years worth of apologies. "We will meet again, Narako... I promise..." He spoke before he disappeared. Narako blinked in confusing before she heard grunting coming from the Central Plaza. Aizawa... Against her better judgement, she ran toward it.
Not too far away from the fight, and in the water watching Aizawa fight, Narako noticed Midoriya, Asui and Mineta once she arrived. Good, at least Midoriya's safe... She thought before turning her attention to her teacher, who seemed to be doing just fine on his own. The crowd of villains had been cut down to only two villains remaining, which Aizwa easily took out. Narako's brow furrowed a bit when she realized Aizawa was growing tired from the fighting. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Aragami reappearing to watch the fight between his boss and Aizawa. Aizawa's eyes flickered to his brother before seeing the leader charging for him. "First, it was 23 seconds..."
"Final boss." Aizawa murmured as he threw his scarf, which was easily caught by the leader as the two charged toward one another.
"Then, it was 24 seconds... Then 20, then 17..." Aizawa grabbed part of his scarf and elbowed the leader in the gut. Narako nearly breathed in relief but stopped short when she saw Aizawa's other elbow in the leader's hand just as Aizawa's hair dropped. Oh no... "It was hard to see when you were jumping around, but I found your tell... It's your hair." Behind his goggles, Aizawa's eyes widened the same time his brother's and Narako's did. "When it drops, it means you've stopped using your quirk." Much to Narako, Asui and Midoriya's horror, Aizawa's elbow began to deteriorate, Aizawa grunting in pain. "You're having to blink more often. Don't push yourself too hard now," the voice of the leader was taunting. "You might just fall apart... Wouldn't that be a shame?" Just when it was looking bad, Aizawa's hair flew upward once more and he punched the leader with his good arm, starting another fight. He destroyed my elbow... Aizawa thought as he continued fighting as more goons took him on, he was able to fight them before he was surrounded. "That annoying quirk of yours isn't suited for drawn out fights against big groups, is it? Don't you think you're a little out of your element here, Eraserhead? You're much better at working stealthily. You're known for surprise attacks, not fighting head to head. But, despite knowing that, you didn't hesitate to jump into the middle of this fight... To put your students at ease." Aizawa dodged attacks left and right, though Narako knew Aizawa was growing more and more tired. "Hey, look at you, you're still standing. You really are so cool... Oh, by the way, hero..." Aizawa turned around to see a monstrous behemoth of a villain behind him, one that screamed not normal in the least to Narako. "I am not the final boss." With those words, the creature struck a blow to Aizawa that sent his goggles and some blood everywhere before beginning to bash Aizawa down. A strangled cry of horror left Narako before she could stop it, not noticing Aragami looking away.
In the water, Midoriya watched in horror as the monster pummeled Aizawa into the ground. "No.... Mr. Aizawa..." He trailed off.
Near the exit, the Warp Villain didn't seem to be fazed by Thirteen's attack, though his body was being sucked into her quirk. "Ah, Black Hole... The quirk that sucks up matter and turns it to dust... Such an astounding power... However, you're a rescue hero, Thirteen, skilled at saving people from disasters... Consequently, that means you have little fighting experience or battlefield awareness." He told her before a Warp Gate opened up behind Thirteen, her quirk beginning to suck her through. A cry of pain left Thirteen as Sami's eyes widened in horror. They had to do something!
"He opened a warp gate..." Thirteen barely got out as she struggled to look behind her. The Warp Villain merely chuckled as the back of Thirteen's suit broke, beginning to dissolve.
"How unfortunate... You've turned yourself into dust!" He told her, cries of horror leaving Sero, Sato, Shoji, Iida, Sami, Mina and Ururaka. Thirteen stopped her quirk as she started to fall, the warp gate behind her closing.
"I'm sorry... He got me..." She weakly got out.
"Thirteen!" Mina cried out in worry. Sato snapped put of his shock, looking at the Class Rep.
"Iida, get out of here! Go now!" Sat urged him. Iida opened his mouth to argue but remembered what Thirteen had said earlier and closed it, beginning to run.
"Are sheep trying to escape from the wolves?" The Warp Villain asked hauntingly as Iida began to run toward the doors. "I simply can't allow that." He opened a warp gate in front of Iida. "If other heroes arrive, it'll be harder for us to put an end to All Might." Iida tried stopping but he was only sliding into the warp gate. This responsibility was entrusted to me! Classmates... I'll keep you safe! Iida thought. Just as he was about to slide right through the warp gate, Shoji grabbed it with all of his limbs, blocking Iida from going into it. "Run!" Shoji hit the ground. "I've got him!" Picking back up where he left off, Iida sped towards the doors once again. I'll be back in a flash! He mentally promised.
"You impertinent child!" The Warp Villain yelled, Sami noticing the neck brace and nudging Ururaka, who was kneeling beside Thirteen.
"The boys and Narako had a plan after all." She gestured toward the neck brace. Their attack had left the Warp Villain's weak spot visible. They could take him down while he was distracted.
"You won't set foot outside those doors!" The villain yelled as his wisping head chased after Iida. I'm close... But what if it's locked? Will I be able to pry it open in time? Iida thought.
"I have no time for this." The villain was now over the top of Iida. "Be gone!" Iida closed his eyes as the villain covered him, neither of them noticing Ururaka charging for the Warp Villain's neck brace with Sami running to the doors.
Meanwhile near the water, Midoriya. Asui, Mineta and Narako all watched in horror as Aizawa lay unmoving facedown on the ground. "What do you think of him, Eraserhead?" The leader taunted. "He's the bioengineered anti symbol of peace... But you can call him Nomu." The Nomu roared in response, sending a chill through Narako...
To be continued....
