Chapter 5
Third person narrative:
It was late at night as Gilan was ridding back. He yawns slightly it was getting a bit late but he was more focused on getting back to his cabin. He suddenly slowed down Blaze, since the horse was acting up a bit and he glanced around. An arrow suddenly shot out of the shadows and bit his shoulder. He fell off Blaze from here the impact. He looked at the arrow. It was white, it seemed to flow under the light of the moon and stars. He grips it and pulls it out.
He stands up and pulls out his bow and arrow. He gazes around trying to spot his attacker. An arrow shot by his head grazing his cheek. He winces slightly and shot were the arrow came from. He hit something, he hears what sounded like fabric ripping. He grabs a lantern and rushes over to see if he can find his attacker. He finds his arrow and he must have hit the person's cloak since all's that was there was white fabric. He looks around but yet he couldn't see anyone. His mind went back to his dream and he wonders about if Shadow did this and was still alive. Yet, that seemed unlikely. If shadow was alive he would have had much better aim then this attacker and he wouldn't wear white. He would wear dark colors to blend into the darkness. Another clue that told him it wasn't shadow was his gut feeling and the fact that both he and Blaze knew someone was there. Shadow wouldn't make himself so easily known. However, Shadow was dead. He was gone but there was someone who attacked him. The only question was who.
He mounts Blaze and rides back to his cabin he starts to feel dizzy and lightheaded. It was then another white arrow shot off the darkness and hit his arm. He fell off Blaze and his eyes closed for a moment. When he looked up He saw a white hooded figure bending over him. The person looked over at him and grinned. The last thing he saw was then raise their hand and then everything faded into nothing ness. The last imagine in his brain was the hooded figure's haunting grin.

The two people who were tracking Shadow and his parents walked into an inn and rented a room. Melody groans in frustration.
"Calm down," Her partner says.
"I can't, Troy! Azami said that Shadow would be going after that Ranger Crowley yet we he wasn't shown up once." She grumbles.
"Or Gilan but she said she'll keep an eye on him." Troy replies.
"I know...but I don't like waiting around." Melody sighs.
"Don't worry. All's we have to do is wait and trust Azami." Troy said.
"I know. I still feel like we should be tracking him...or rather be keeping an eye on the rangers he's more logically likely to go after." She says.
"And who may those be?" A voice said from the now open window. The owner of the voice was Crowley.
"You know it's rude to sneak up on people." Says Melody.
"It's rude to spy on people," he replies.
"He dose make a good point." Troy says which earns him a glare from Melody.
"Now, what were you two saying about Shadow?" Crowley asks.
