It's been a while, huh? I've been on hiatus for a chunk of time, but I think it's worth it. I'm proud of what this has come to be.

If you're an old reader, you know this well and are in for a treat. If you're a new reader, welcome! I hope you enjoy.

Old readers will know that this is a rewrite of a preexisting story originally posted to a different site. I got the author's permission to transfer and finish the original here, though they wished to remain anonymous.

Now the og has given me FULL CREATIVE CONTROL of the rewrite! They're done with the story and passed it into my loving hands.

Said loving hands have increased the angst tenfold.

After a lot of talk with the author and a lot of work, this rewrite is very different from the original. It has the same basic premise, yes, but there have been a lot of changes.

Plot holes have been covered, characters have been examined, and themes will actually be paid attention to. Isn't that great?

If you are an old reader, please be mindful of the new ones! Please do not spoil the story! That includes not revealing the names of characters that have not been introduced! If a comment do contains a spoiler, please be sure to state that in the comment. Thank you!

I will also try to update every Wednesday. Chapters will contain art. I might not be able to uphold this standard because of said art, but I'll do my best. Hopefully the hyperfixation is strong enough to ignore the potential burnout.

I sure hope I'm not girlbossing too close to the sun here, haha!
