They stared at each other for a long time. Nobody was able to say anything. Thousands of questions swirled around Anakin's mind. Was that a trick? Was that really Ahsoka? If yes, then why was she here? Why was she carrying her lightsaber like she was a Jedi again?

Ultimately, Ahsoka broke the silence. "Hello Master Skywalker ... nice to see you again." Her voice, just like back then on her numerous missions against the Sep's, as Ahsoka used to call the Separatists. The time was too long in the past.

Anakin finally regained his voice. "Ahsoka. I didn't expect to ever see you again ... but ... well ..." He cut it short, looking at Obi-Wan and Padmé and asked, "Can someone explain to me what's going on?!"

They both laughed. Even Ahsoka couldn't help but grin. Only Anakin stood there, petrified, looking around at everyone and not understanding anything. "So, Anakin," Obi-Wan clarified. "Ahsoka has returned to the Order. But not just like that. With the Republic fallen, we need as many Younglings, Apprentices, Padawans, Knights, Masters, and Grandmasters as we can get. That's why Ahsoka decided to be at our side for the fight against the Empire." He gave Anakin a little time to process the new information. He then continued, "Would you agree to accept Ahsoka as your Padawan again?"

Anakin hadn't expected that question. He turned around. That was too much at once. Then he felt someone grab his hand. Padmé stood next to him and gave him an encouraging look. "Thank you," he whispered to her, tilting his head in Ahsoka's direction. Now he smiled too. "If you want it, Ahsoka ... then I want it too."

Ahsoka beamed. Then he suddenly took something out of his pocket. Her string of pearls! He had kept it all this time!

"I could never part with it," Anakin admitted, handing it back to Ahsoka. "Welcome back aboard, Snips!"
