Chapter 1

I went to the dining room early the following morning. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who decided to wake up early since three other people were there. They looked a little familiar but I couldn't place where I'd seen them before. "Hey, I feel like I've seen you before. Do I know you?" I asked, "Hm, no I don't believe you do. You may have seen me on TV. Rachel Smith award-winning actress. Charmed I'm sure." Rachel said, "Maybe." I said, "And who are you two?" I asked, "Oh those two won't answer you.  It was a struggle to pry their names from them, to begin with, and I doubt you have the time." Rachel said snidely. "He is Samual Drew, a failing defense attorney. And she's Victoria Faust. I have no idea what she does, but she's awfully secretive." Rachel said, "So tell me, what is it you do?" Rachel asked, "I work at a pizza place." I said shockingly a look of disgust enveloped her face, "I should've known that you'd be dull." Rachel said as she put a cigarette in her mouth and lit it as she walked into the hall. "What a bitch." Vivian said. There was a buffet laid out so I made myself some breakfast, nothing elaborate, just some eggs, sausages, and orange juice.

After a tense breakfast, I decided to explore the mansion a bit to try to fill in my map as best I could. All morning it felt like I was being watched and out of the corner of my eye I could sometimes see a dark figure watching me, but when I turned to confront it, it would vanish. I managed to find a nice shady spot in the garden to write down notes. The only paper I had was the notes from A, so I kept them with me. "So you're not A, huh?" Victoria said as she plucked a letter from my hands, "I thought had you pegged, but I guess I was wrong this time. That is unless you killed this Blake guy." Victoria said as she gave me the letter back, "Nope I'm not A, I wanna know who they are though." I said, "Well they must be close to you. Your note was more personal than mine or anyone else's I've seen," Victoria said as she sat next to me and handed me three letters, "yours has two extra lines, and A names you in yours. No one else's does that.", "So what, I'm your prime suspect now?" I said, "No, but maybe A is a past girlfriend of yours since both your letters in "with lust", ever date anyone with an, a, in her name?" Victoria asked, "Nope, the only ex around here was named Kristy." I said, "Damn thought I was onto something with that one, oh well, I'll figure it out eventually. Oh and don't write on those, there's an office here. Plenty of paper in there." Victoria said as she got up and left.

...

Later that night when I returned to my room I found another note on the desk. Very good work Blake. I'd expect nothing less from you. But be careful of who you trust. Not everything here is as it seems. There are forces at play that you cannot comprehend. With lust, A, it read. There were strange symbols written around the border of the paper. They seemed to glow slightly as I moved the paper. I figured they must've been written in some kind of reflective ink or gel. I went to bed with that unsettling letter's warning taken to heart.

...

I took the note to the library which I found the day before hoping to get some idea of what the symbols on the letter and stone mean. "There's a lot of Aleister Crowley here." I said as I flipped through a book and found symbols matching the ones on my note and stone. It was a language called Enochian. I used the alphabet in the book to translate the letters on the paper into Latin and then into English. It said, "I'm always watching". I translated the engravings on the stone. "Dith ab inferis reversus est ad?" I said in confusion. I tried to translate it into English the same way I translate the letter, but nothing I did worked. I had a feeling that I'd need something else to translate it and get the full message.
