Dungeons
A few days went by and no luck catching a monster. Sure, there were witnesses to a monster, but the monster was never around long enough to be caught.
Today, Finn and Jake are first seen being deposited on a mountain top by a swan driven by Princess Bubblegum. The princess instructs them to put up warning signs around a well that holds an entrance to a dungeon, then departs on princess business. After the heroes finish putting up the signs and Jake prepares for lunch, he tells Finn a story about the Crystal Eye hidden inside the dungeon. Finn, filled with excitement, prepares to enter the well, but Jake taunts him about being useless without him. Finn bets that he can get through the dungeon alone and jumps in the well, leaving Jake to finish his lunch.
As he was eating, he saw something in the distance. As he squinted to get a better look, he realized that the figure was Y/N, the same being they had been searching for, the teleporting monster.
A sense of realization and surprise washed over Jake as he observed Y/N from a distance. The mysterious nature of the monster they had been trying to find was now personified in the familiar form of Y/N, who had become a part of their group and shared moments of friendship and camaraderie.
Jake knew that he needed to approach Y/N and find out the reason behind their recent appearances as the teleporting entity. The Candy Kingdom's safety was at stake, and he couldn't ignore the situation.
As Jake approached Y/N, he watched as the obsidian-clad figure reacted with fear. Y/N's form shimmered, and in a flash of violet light, they teleported away, vanishing into the distance.
Jake was left standing there, his canine features showing a mix of concern and surprise. He hadn't expected Y/N to react with such fear and sudden disappearance.
Y/N, their obsidian figure darting through the whimsical and vibrant landscape of Ooo, looked around nervously as they ran. Their earlier fear had driven them to flee, but now they were being pursued by their friend Jake, who had concerns and questions about their transformation.
Jake, with his remarkable shape-shifting abilities, kept up the chase, determined to catch up to Y/N and understand the situation. He called out, "Hey, wait up! We need to talk!"
The world around them was a surreal mix of candy landscapes, fantastical creatures, and unexpected surprises. The chase continued, with Y/N's mysterious abilities making their escape a challenge.
Y/N's escape led them into the entrance of a dark and ominous cave within the Land of Ooo. As they ventured deeper, the cave's twists and turns became increasingly disorienting, and Y/N soon realized that they couldn't find their way back.
The feeling of being trapped in the cave, far from the vibrant world they had come to know, began to overwhelm them. Panic and fear welled up within Y/N, and they couldn't help but let out a few tears, their violet eyes glistening with distress.
In the eerie silence of the cave, the obsidian figure's silent cries echoed, a testament to the unfamiliar and dire situation they had found themselves in.
Jake, with his shape-shifting abilities, managed to navigate the labyrinthine cave and eventually found Y/N. He observed the profound distress in Y/N's obsidian-clad form and realized how frightened and disoriented they were.
With a compassionate and understanding expression, Jake approached Y/N and gently laid a reassuring paw on their shoulder. He began to speak in a comforting tone. "Hey, it's okay. You're not alone. I'm Jake, and I'm here to help."
Y/N, though still overwhelmed by their predicament, looked up at Jake and found a glimmer of reassurance in the canine adventurer's warm and understanding eyes. Jake's presence was a source of comfort in the darkness of the cave, and it signaled that they weren't facing this challenge alone.
As Jake extended a friendly paw of support and introduced himself to Y/N, he realized that Y/N remained silent and didn't respond. With a thoughtful nod, Jake asked, "You're not much of a talker, huh?"
Y/N's obsidian figure offered a subtle, non-verbal affirmation to Jake's question. Their silence was a characteristic that had been a part of their presence since they arrived in Ooo, and it seemed that even in their current predicament, they chose to communicate through actions rather than words.
Jake respected their choice, understanding that sometimes actions and gestures could convey more than words ever could.
With Y/N now feeling reassured by Jake's presence and support, the two of them made their way out of the dark and disorienting cave. The entrance to the cave was a welcome sight, and as they stepped out into the daylight, the vibrant and fantastical world of Ooo stretched out before them.
Jake offered Y/N a reassuring smile, knowing that they had managed to overcome the challenging situation. He gestured for them to follow, and together they began to make their way back to the colorful and whimsical land they had come to know as their home.
As Jake and Y/N walked together, the canine adventurer couldn't help but be curious about his friend's name. He started by asking, "Hey, I know you're not much of a talker, but how about your name? Can you give me a hint?"
Y/N remained silent but seemed open to Jake's guess. Jake tried four times, each time getting it wrong, which led to a bit of playful and friendly banter between them.
"Is it Bob?" Jake guessed.
Y/N shook their head slightly, indicating a negative response.
Jake chuckled. "Okay, how about Sam?"
Again, Y/N's subtle reaction indicated that it wasn't the right name.
Jake tried a couple more times, each time with a wrong guess, with names like Robin, and Carmen, until he finally hit the mark. "Is it Y/N?"
Y/N responded with a nod, confirming that Jake had guessed correctly.
"Well, nice to finally meet you Y/N." Jake said as he and Y/N walked. The two walked to the entrance to the dungeon and sat down together.
Jake decided to offer a friendly gesture of companionship. He reached into his backpack and pulled out a delicious sandwich, and with a warm smile, he split it in two.
Jake handed half of the sandwich to Y/N, silently inviting them to share in the meal. Y/N accepted the offered half of the sandwich.
Y/N looked at the sandwich and wasn't sure what to do. They opened their mouth and took a bite of the sandwich. They smiled at the taste and devoured it.
"Wow. When was the last time you ate?" Jake asked as he watched Y/N eat. Y/N held up two fingers.
"I'm just gonna assume you mean two hours." Jake said, not wanting to think Y/N went days without eating.
Jake, now enjoying their shared meal, couldn't help but be curious about Y/N's recent appearances in the Candy Kingdom and the ensuing alarm they had caused. With a thoughtful expression, he asked, "So, Y/N, why were you in the Candy Kingdom, scaring people?"
Y/N responded by using sign language, explaining that they had been exploring the area out of curiosity and hadn't intended to frighten anyone. Their gestures conveyed a sense of innocence and a desire to explore the colorful and whimsical world of Ooo.
Jake, nodding in understanding, appreciated the explanation. "I see, you were just checking things out. No harm done, buddy. But it sure had everyone spooked for a bit."
Y/N looked at himself. He definitely wasn't looking like anyone local.
"Don't worry, dude. After this, we'll go talk to Princess Bubblegum." Jake reassured Y/N. He got up.
"Come on. Let's go get my buddy, Finn. I'll introduced the two of you, and we'll introduce you to the princess." Jake said as he looked at Y/N. Y/N nodded his head, and the two entered the dungeon.
The two encountered a reaper first. "Choose your dueling weapon!" The reaper said.
"Uh... I choose... sandwich!" Jake said. He grabs his sandwich and fights with the reaper who simply cuts through it with a sword. Then it was Y/N's turn, who used screaming as his weapon, distracting Reaper, and allowing Y/n and Jake to escape.
Next. Goblin King challenges the two to spitting their spit the farthest and laughs when Jake throws a pathetic spit, and Y/N couldn't.
Then, A monster makes the two chase a laser pointer, which leads them to bump into a wall.
During all this, Y/N came up with an idea. They looked at Jake and used sign language to talk to him. They asked Jake if he wanted them to go and get the princess for help.
"Nah, I'm sure we'll be fine." Jake said, before an gigantic snake appeared out of nowhere and tried eating them, until Y/N teleported away with Jake.
"Ya, we should probably go get the Princess." Jane said.
After navigating through the dungeon, the two managed to get out. Together, they made their way to the Candy kingdom.
As Jake and Y/N arrived back in the Candy Kingdom, they were met with an unexpected and alarming scene. Princess Bubblegum, upon seeing Y/N, reacted with shock and fear. Her concern seemed to be related to Y/N's earlier appearances as the teleporting entity, which had caused quite a stir in the Candy Kingdom.
In response to Princess Bubblegum's reaction, she quickly ordered her loyal Banana Guards to apprehend Y/N, an action taken out of concern for the safety of her kingdom.
Jake, caught off guard by this development, tried to intercede and explain the situation. "Wait, Princess Bubblegum, Y/N didn't mean to scare anyone. They're with me."
Princess Bubblegum, while usually a rational and methodical thinker, found herself confused by Jake's defense of Y/N. She had witnessed the teleporting entity causing concern among her subjects, and the unexpected appearance of Y/N in this form had heightened her alarm.
"You gave it a name?" Princess Bubblegum asked.
"Actually, they came with the name. But he's not that bad." Jake said.
Y/N decided to communicate their side of the story through sign language. Their hands moved with grace and precision, conveying their message of exploration and curiosity, emphasizing that they had not intended to cause any harm or alarm.
Y/N's silent communication carried a sense of sincerity and innocence, and it became increasingly clear that their appearances were not intended to be a threat.
Through their skilled use of sign language, Y/N continued to express their perspective. They emphasized that their actions were driven by curiosity and exploration, with no intention of causing panic or alarm. Their gestures and signs conveyed a sense of innocence and a desire to be understood.
Princess Bubblegum, now with a more understanding perspective, looked at Y/N and spoke with a measured tone. "Y/N, for the safety of the Candy Kingdom and until we can be sure you're harmless, I think it's best if you stay with us for a while. We can study you and see what your capable of." She said.
Y/N, their obsidian form reflecting a sense of acceptance and understanding, nodded in agreement. They were willing to cooperate and stay at the Candy Kingdom while the situation was sorted out.
Jake, standing by their side, added, "Don't worry, Y/N." Jake said.
"Hey? Where's Finn?" Princess Bubblegum asked.
"Oh, he went in the dungeon." Jake said.
"He did what?!" Princess Bubblegum asked before running out if the room.
She returned flying in on her swan, angry. Y/N and Jake looking at her. "GET ON MY SWAN!" She said. The two hoped on and took off.
"Finn!" Princess Bubblegum said.
