My depression (part 1/2)

"Shadow?" Momma asked as she entered my room. I was laying here on my bed. I didn't move. I couldn't believe it was only a day until Dark's funeral.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"Baby you have to eat. If you don't, you'll starve to death. Please eat?" Momma begged me as she sat down on my bed.

"I'm sorry. I'm just not really hungry right now Momma," I said sadly.

"I know. But you can't go on like this. It's not healthy for your body," Momma said.

She was right. It had been a week since I killed Dark. Since then, I hadn't even taken one bite of food. I had only had water since then.

"All right," I said sighing.

"Thank you Shadow," Momma said kissing my cheek. She stood up and left. I sighed again.

I sniffed it my food. It was rice porridge. My favorite! I shoved a huge spoonful into my mouth. I guess I was hungrier than I thought I was.

An hour or two later, I emerged from my bedroom. Momma about dropped the plate she was drying. Link, Zelda, Blue, Vio, Red and Grandfather stared. Zelda smiled gently at me.

"Hi Shadow," Zelda said with a giggle.

"Hey," I replied.

"Let's play a game!" Red shouted.

"Nah. I don't feel like it," I said sitting down beside Momma.

"Oh," red said pouting.

"Red don't pout! You'll make Shadow more upset!" Blue yelled at Red.

"But I..." Red started.

"Shut up both of you!" Vio and Link yelled.

"Sorry. I just don't feel like doing anything. I didn't mean to cause a fight," I said with a big sigh.

"It's fine Shadow," Zelda said smiling.

"You sure?" I asked.

Everyone nodded and smiled at me. I smiled at them. We all laughed. But after we stopped, sadness filled my heart again.

"Momma?" I asked.

"Yes baby?" Momma asked. She knelt down so I could look her in the eye.

"I'm scared," I said. I felt tears streaming down my face and dripping onto my tunic.

********* Dark's funeral*********

"Do I have to go?" I asked Momma as she brushed my hair.

"Yes," she said firmly.

"But..." I started.

"No buts. He may have tried to kill you. But he was your little brother. Which is why you will go," Momma said.

She placed my hat on my head and helped me with my belt. I sighed. I didn't want to see Dark in his coffin. It wasn't right. I wasn't even sure how he was dead.

Then I realized that Ganondorf must have wanted me to kill Dark. If Ganondorf didn't want Dark dead, Ganondorf would have brought Dark back. But he didn't. Ganondorf didn't even care about Dark.
