"Momma!" I shouted. I pounced onto the bed and on top of Momma.

"Momma! Wake up! It's time!" I yelled.

"Time for what sweetie?" Momma said sitting up.

"My adoption! Old Judge Maxwell said he'd make his decision today!" I said bouncing on my butt on the bed.

"Oh shoot! That's right!" Momma said. She flew out of bed and got me dressed. Then she got herself dressed. She whipped up some oatmeal for us and began to feed me.

I had grown use to being fed. The only thing I hated, was the fact I still couldn't really walk. I could army crawl. But that was about it.

After breakfast we headed out. Momma placed me onto her horse, Rosebud, and then she climbed on. We rode off towards the courthouse. Link, Blue, Red, Vio and Grandfather met us at the courthouse.

"Good morning judge Maxwell! Morning Sheriff Jack!" I yelled as we entered the courthouse.

"Morning Shadow. How's my boy?" Asked Sheriff Jack. Sheriff Jack and Momma had been dating for awhile now. Jack was almost like a Father to me. I hoped someday he would be.

"I'm good," I said smiling.

"Well judge? Did you make your decision?" I asked. Judge Maxwell smiled gently at me. He nodded.

"What did you decide?" Momma asked.

"Shadow's yours," Judge Maxwell said.

"Yah!!" I yelled. I army crawled into Momma's arms. She hugged me tight.

"Thank you Judge! Thank you!" She sobbed. Momma finished filling out the paperwork that said she was my Momma. I couldn't wait to tell Zelda. I knew she'd be happy when she found out I was officially Momma's son.

We left the courthouse and handed over tho the marketplace to get some new clothes for me. Suddenly, a rock hit me in the temple.

"Ouch!!" I yelled as I hit the ground.

"Shadow!" Momma screamed.

"Momma!" I sobbed as Momma scooped me up.

"Who did that?!" Jack yelled.

A strange boy raised his hand. He looked identical to me. The only thing different between us was, he had red eyes and I had blue eyes. I stared at him as I sat there on the ground.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Name's Dark," the boy said. He gave me an evil smile. I gulped.

Dark was my baby brother. He was made by Ganondorf, a month after I was. I couldn't believe. It was my brother!

I smiled at him.

Dark glared back.

"What's wrong brother?" I asked.

"You. Being alive," Dark growled.

"Do you hate me or something?" I asked.

"Yes. But that's not why I'm here," Dark growled.

"Then why are you here? What do you want from me?" I asked.

"I don't want anything. I just came to make sure you die, traitor," Dark said with an evil laugh.

"Over my dead body!" Old Judge Maxwell yelled.

"That, can very well be arranged," Dark said with another evil smile.

"Not while we're alive!" Grandfather, Link, Blue, Red and Vio yelled at the same time.

Dark smirked. He drew his sword and pointed it at me.

"Father ordered Shadow's death. I will follow those orders," Dark said coldly.

"Father?! Y-you mean Ganondorf?! But he's sealed away! Th-that's impossible!" I yelled.

I got to my feet. I wobbled a bit. Not as much as normal though. I began to walk towards Dark.

Dark smiled.

"Here," he said. He tossed me a second sword and shield he had. I gulped.

"One of us is to die to day. At least make it so you have a little chance of surviving," he said. His red eyes began to glow.

I gulped. I grabbed the sword and shield. I readied myself for battle.

"Battle!" Dark yelled as he charged at me.

I defended myself. I managed to strike Dark's right leg with my blade. Dark howled in pain.

I bolted towards the edge of town. If we got too close, someone might get seriously hurt. That was the last thing I wanted to see happen. We clashed swords over and over and over again.

"Why Dark?! Why are you doing this?!" I asked. Dark hit his sword against my shield. I staggered backwards. I managed to regain my balance without falling or getting killed.

"Why?! You betrayed Father! Therefore you betrayed me!" Dark yelled.

"But Father doesn't care if you live or die! He didn't when I almost died!" I yelled.

"I don't care if you think that! Father loves me! I know it!" Dark yelled. He raises he sword into the air. I closed my eyes and stabbed at Dark.

"GAHH!!" Dark cried.

I opened my eyes. Dark's red eyes were in front of mine. I stared at Dark. His eyes were glazed over. Dark was gone.

"No..." I whispered.

I yanked my sword out of Dark. He fell and I cradled him in my arms. I stared at him.

"NO! DARK! NOOOO!!" I wailed.
