It was a cold, rainy, quiet morning, not even the birds were singing. The dog lay peaceful in his dog house, the cat restfully sleeping in the window. Coper walks into the kitchen to talk to her Aunt Beverley.

"Morning, before you say anything i need to talk to you about something serious."
"Why,you look horribly stressed, please tell me what is on you mind?" answered Beverly.
"I want to find my mother, i have no desire to find my father, he has no place in my heart after all the things he did to mother. I would like you to find out where my mother last was, i need to meet her, i have for the past two years. I just have not had the courage say so."
Said Coper.
Beverly replies," I knew this day was coming,you are 20 years old now, i will start my research, i should have the information by morning."

With hesitation, Coper slowly walked out of the room, and went to bed.

When morning came Coper quickly went to see what was for breakfast, to her great satisfaction it was pancakes, bacon and eggs.

"Coper, you should be pleased to know, your mother last lived in Duluth MN, i booked you a train to go there tomorrow, after breakfast you best start packing, its a long ride so dont forget to bring snacks. "
"You are truly amazing, it is going to be weird leaving this place, i love it here so much."
Coper hugged her Aunt with great enthusiasm.
"Dont get to emotional, its not like it will be the last time you see me."
"I know it wont be the last time i see you, it will be hard to leave tho because i love you so much."Coper said.
Coper ran upstairs and started packing immediately . She got done packing 2 hours before she had to leave.

"Now Coper, take this $60 and this should get you enough food till you get settled. You be safe, i will miss you dearly. I love you very much, and tell my sister i said hi. "
"I will be sure to do that, i love you too, i best be going, bye "
At that moment Beverly new something bad was going to happen she just could not figure out what, so instead of fretting about it, she cast it away like it was unimportant.
She went and began her normal day as tho Coper were still there.
Yet what was unexpected was that there was man who had broken into the house while Beverly was washing the dishes. The man quietly came out of the pantry and came right behind her and whispered in her ear.

" Now foolish guardian of the one you call Coper, the curse of her mother is now passed to her."

He raised his gun and shot her right between the eyes, and left her dead for others to find.
