Where am I
Cross POV
I had really messed up this time. I walked way to far from my clan and now I'm lost.
Great.
I have never seen this part of the forest before.
I kept on walking through the forest, trying to find anything that looked familiar. Nothing.
I froze in place as I heard the sound of snow crunching. I looked around but saw nothing.
After about a good minute I saw something move in the background. Their silhouette was tall. My blood grew cold.
It was a hunter.
I quickly ran into a near by bush, causing the hunter to turn their head towards me. They started walking towards me, bringing their weapon up in the process. They walked past every bush around me, shoving the barrel of his gun into some of them. Thank goodness not mine.
After what felt like forever they finally left, and I could finally relax.
I let my hood down, fluffing my fur back up. The cold air blowing past my ears made a shiver trail down my spine.
'You messed up so bad Cross,' a voice spoke.
"I know I messed up Chara. You don't have to remind me," I spoke, pulling my hood back up.
'We're going to die out here because of you,' Chara spat.
"You're already dead," I shot back.
She went silent again, leaving me to the calming sounds of the forest around me.
I poked my head out of the bush, making sure the coast was clear, and made my decent.
"I really hope I can find my way home."
After a hour of walking, I heard the sound of snow crunching. But not from one creature.
I slowly moved closer to the noise, hearing creatures talking. Well, more like commanding.
I crawled into another bush, getting stuck a couple times. It was a rose bush. But I wanted to see what was going on.
I looked out, seeing many different kinds of wolves. A couple were guarding the entrance of a cave. There were some pups playing both in the open field and inside the cave.
One guard caught my eye though. They were very tall and had shiny black fur, their eyes a pale blue. But the one thing that stuck out about them though, was they had multiple tails sticking up at attention.
I caught myself staring a couple times, feeling my tail wag behind me.
'Oh. Someone has a crush,' Chara teased.
I shock my head, making the bush shake. I froze, looking out to see most of the wolves look in my direction.
Without a warning, I was dragged out of the bush from behind. Wincing in pain from the thorns on the bush scratching up my jacket and fur. They pulled by my tail, and grabbed my neck when I was fully uncovered. I tried to squirm, only to get teeth digging deeper into my neck.
I was thrown into the open field, the snow crunching under me. I crawled onto my paws, seeing guards all around me, snarling and snapping their jaws. Some looked like they had rabies. Even the tall black furred wolf was snarling at me.
I curled up right there, my tail in between my legs.
"What is going on here?" A deep voice spoke out over the snarls.
Like on cue, the wolves stopped, but still in fighting position.
In the direction of the cave, two guards moved out of the way. In their place was a tall wold, with a black cloak over their white fur. Their face was faintly covered, by their cloak, their warm breathe coming out of the shadows. A white glow came from under the cloak, staring down at me.
I shrunk down more, wrapping my tail around me for comfort.
"Who are you, and what are you doing here?" They said, their warm breath hitting my in the nose. The smell of death moving through my senses.
"M-my name is Cross... I'm from the Southern Clan. I can't really find my way back.." I stammered.
"Death?" Another voice called from the cave.
The tall wolf turned to their side, showing more of his torn up cloak. Hit white tail fading into black.
In front of the cave was a gray wolf, a little smaller then the taller, scarier one in front of me. They had a white jacket on, and what looked like a blood stain on their stomach. A long red scarf hung from their neck, it being tattered at the ends of it. They had no right eye, long gray fur barely covering it.
They looked me up and down, and then back to the larger wolf. "Death. Who is this?"
'Death? The killer Death?' Chara spoke, a faint bit of fear in her voice.
I started to shake more. I could feel my tail frail up more and more.
"This is Cross. He's from the South Clan. He was just passing through." Death spoke, his tail flicking into to the snow. I watched as he looked over his guards, walking in front of the tall black furred one. "Take him home Nightmare."
I looked over at the dark wolf, seeing he was not pleased with that order.
"That's where my goody-two-shoes brother lives." Nightmare protested.
"Does it look like I care? It just means you know the area more. So do it." Death commanded.
A faint growl came from Nightmare's throat. "Fine." He walked past Death, picking me up by the neck to get me onto my paws. "Come on runt."
I shuffled for my balance, moving my tail back in between my legs.
Nightmare already started on the walk, almost instantly disappearing into the woods. I quickened my pace, staying behind him and keeping silent.
'We're lucky enough to make this out with a limb.' Chara said.
I flattened my ears, trying to shake the nerves off, but to no appeal.
