Chapter 4

< wills pov >

< time skip - a few days, at noon >

I sat underneath the shadiest part of a giant oak tree in a local park. I left Jordan's school ; after some time of messing about in the teacher's lounge, I got bored. Oh, I should have mentioned, us shadow people, we can't go a week without pulling some sort of trick. Well, there goes my trick for the week.

I sighed, pulling out my transmitter from the Shadow Realm ; it kept me in-touch of what was going on there. Everyone in my realm receives one at age 13. I looked through the local news application on my transmitter. I skimmed through some of the articles silently in my head.

A local 17 year old male named "Will Kiing" has been confirmed missing as of last Saturday, the 22nd of May. "I feel like it was my fault... I was mad, sure, but I didn't think he would run away," his mother Allison comments about the conversation she had with Will disputing his sexuality. "We all miss him very much. His father and I are very shameful of this, and his brother just wants him home." In an interview with his brother, 15 year old Isaac, he says that "...I look up to my older brother ; he's a great individual to be around. To keep it short, I miss Will." His father did not want to comment on this situation, as he teleported away as we approached the scene. Will is known to have brown hair and eyes, and his particles surrounding him are a crimson shade of red. More to come on this story soon. Please keep your eyes out for him. We do not know if he is still in the realm, as the Light Dimension is very dangerous. *insert picture*

Oh my goodness.. I thought to myself, putting my transmitter away. They still care... I recalled all of the memories I've had with my family. I made a sort of check list in my head.

✔️ My first trip to the beach when I was three ; I remember because we can't be revealed to the Sun, our beaches our dimmed in the moonlight. I got sand in my dad's eyes from the sandcastle we built, haha!

✔️ My first day of school, where I met my best friend, Phil. We were still controlling our teleporting, and accidentally teleported into the sink, ending up in the principal's office.

✔️ My first trip to the Light Dimension when I was 12. I thought of it as a horrid place, until my mum showed me how beautiful the Sun could be, instead of what it's said to be in our Realm.

I shed a tear, remembering all the memories. I miss them..

Then I remembered, Jordan. He's been assisting me these past few days with the light. I stood up, almost forgetting I was exposed outside, the sunlight burning my face. I screeched, falling back to the ground in the shade, feeling the burn left on my face.

I want to go home, but I should ask Jordan first, I confirmed. I closed my eyes, feeling a rush of darkness flow through me. I made sure no one was watching, and I watched as the red particles surrounding me lifted me slightly off the ground, and I disappeared within seconds.

< skips to the school - same time >

[ salty: i wanted to note that when will teleports, it's the same time. so if he teleports at noon, it's still noon. k enjoy the rest. :) ]

I reopen my eyes, revealing myself to be in the dark corner of a lunchroom. I looked around, spotting Jordan from across the room. As I was about to approach him, I was stopped, being pushed back into the darkness.

"Well, who's this?" the young boy, with the surprisingly deep voice said. I stood back up.

"The name's Will, bud. What's it to you?" I asked, a tad annoyed and emphasizing 'you'.

"Oh, I might as well know before a beat you to a pulp," he chuckled. I could feel my eyes flash a dark red.

I spoke in a dark tone, kind of like Darth Vader, "Look, I don't want trouble, so move your prissy little bum somewhere else." He looked shocked, and backed up.

"Oh- Okay, bud! Ch- Chill!" he exclaimed, fast-walking away. I glared at him, making my way (downtown lol!) towards Jordan. I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"I need to speak with you," I said, forgetting my voice was still deep and eyes were red. I could feel him shaking, and two of his friends on the opposite side of the table look up at me, fear in their eyes. I quickly closed my eyes, originating them to their brown state, and speaking softly again.

"Jordan, can we talk?" my British accent rang out. He turned around, still shaking, but nodded in response as he realized it was me.

"Ye- Yeah, sure," he stuttered. Jordan stood up, but not before the tall boy sitting next to him yanked on his sweater's sleeve.

"Jordan, you want me to come with you?" his accent, similar to mine, asked. Jordan looked at me, and I shook my head.

"Sorry, Dan. Seems it's personal," he stated. I grabbed his hand and led him to the corner, where I original teleported to.

"Will, I'm in the middle of school. What do you need?" Jordan whispered ; I could hear he was a bit annoyed.

"Jordan," I began, scratching the back of my neck, "I was th- thinking about, erm..." I paused, sighing, "about going back home."

"Wh- What?" he asked, an upset expression across his face. "Wh- Why?! I thought you were kicked out of your home!"

"Yeah, I was. But look." I showed him my transmitter, pulling up the article about myself going missing. Jordan skimmed through it, a surprised expression on his face.

"W- Will.." was all Jordan made out. "S- So, you're leaving?"

"That's the thing," I stated. "I don't know if I should. I love this dimension and all, but I do miss my family." I could feel a tear roll from my cheek, and I don't normally cry.

"Will.." Jordan said, wiping the tear from my cheek. "Look, h- how's about you come to my house after school, and we can, y- you know, talk?" he asked. I nodded, a grin crossing my face.

"Or..." I began, grabbing his hand tightly, "we can go now!" I looked around, to make sure no one was watching, and felt that rush of darkness go through my body. I heard Jordan screech as we were lifted off the ground, disappearing into the air, not a trace of us left behind.

Moments later, we arrived in his bedroom. He let go of my hand.

"WILL!" he screamed at me. I laughed, lying on his bed.

"Oh, I didn't mention I could teleport two at once?" I chuckled. "Don't worry ; if you're sister's in the hospital and your mom is a druggie, I think we'll be just fine." He sighed, lying next to me.

"What'll I tell my friends tomorrow? That I just happen to 'disappear'?" he asked, sitting up.

"Easy, you tell them nothing. They don't need to know I'm another, quote on quote, 'species'," I chuckled, sitting next to him. "Now, why don't we just chill?" I asked, wrapping my arm around the shorter boy's waist. I could see the blush spread across his face.

"Oh- Okay," he stuttered, and I giggled, grabbing his remote and turning on Netflix, playing some random crappy movie. After around an hour, Jordan was knocked out and asleep on my shoulder. I planted a small kiss on his forehead, giggling as he squirmed for a moment, before he smiled in his slumber.
