Chapter 2

I stood in silence with this Jordan fellow, my hand still aching from when I stuck it in the sunlight.
"So, uhh.. you jump out of portals in walls often?" Jordan joked, breaking the silence. For once in my life, I smiled.
"Hey, being a person from another realm has its advantages," I chuckled. Jordan took a step back, looking worried. "What, think I'm gonna hurt you, baby?" I laugh, flirting with him.
Great, Will. Five minutes out of the Shadow Realm and you're already hitting on humans.
"N- No, but I'd like to know what exactly you are. You don't often see teenagers jumping out of random portals in walls that lead to other 'dimensions'," he stated, "just saying."
"Well then," I began, taking a step closer towards him, making sure I don't touch sunlight, "why don't I tell you a bit more about myself? Looks like the sun is setting, which is perfect, cause you don't want me to burn, right?" I traced a finger up his chest.
"I don't know, do I Will? If that is your real name?"
"No, I don't think you'd like to watch me die, Jordan," I whispered, my breath hitting his face, making him shudder. Just then, the sun completely set, leaving us in darkness - other than the streetlights, which don't affect me. "Come, let's walk and talk." I grabbed his hand, leading him to the sidewalks, and we walked down the street in the moonlight.

"That's pretty much my whole story," I finished, shoving my hands inside my hoodie's pockets.
"Hmm, interesting. You wouldn't think another dimension just, well, exists," he commented.
"Heh, I wouldn't think you'd be so calm about this situation," I chuckled.
"Well, I've had an.. Interesting life. Mind hearing it?"
"Hey, I've told you mine. Go ahead," I said as we sat down on a park bench.
"Well," Jordan began, placing his hands in his knees, "my whole life, my mom has been a drug addict. My father had left us at a young age because of this. And my sister, well, she's in the hospital. She has cancer, and is expected to die soon.." His voice trailed. "Although, I do-- I mean, I did have a girlfriend. She was amazing, the highlight of my life, if you will." I started feeling a sprung of jealously. I could feel my eyes burn and turn a murky shade of black. They often did this when I was angry, and I don't know why they decided to change. Luckily, before Jordan could notice, I calmed myself, and my eyes tingled, forming back to their original brown state. Jordan continued his tale.
"Unfortunately, after a few months of being with Stacy, I realized that I didn't truly like her the way I did.." I looked at him, confused. "I- I- I'm gay." He almost said it inaudible, but I heard what he said. "A- And sh- she committed.. B- Because of me.." Tears brimmed in his eyes and he began crying. I scooted closer to him on the bench, and put my arm around him. He leaned on my shoulder ; I took my fore finger and lifted his chin, so we were staring into each other's eyes. And wow, his were a beautiful shade of green, with specks of gold.
"Y- You know, you're r- really nice, for someone who's always hiding away in the shadows," he claimed.
"Hey, not everyone from my realm are punks with ignorant egos," I chuckled, leaning my forehead on his. "You know, I happen to be your sexuality as well."
"R- Really?" Jordan asked, sniffling.
"Heh, yeah. That's the whole reason I'm here."
