[Twenty Seven]
A soft breeze from the open window pushed some stray hair across Hoseok's forehead, causing him to open his eyes. He glanced at his alarm clock. It was close to 4 o'clock, Sunday morning. His bedroom was dark, save for beams of moonlight falling on the floor. It took him a few extra moments to process that his head was resting on someone's chest. On Min Yoongi's chest.
On his boyfriend's chest.
Thinking of the word in association with Yoongi made Hoseok squeeze his eyes shut and scrunch up his nose in an almost painful silent squeal. [a/n y'all ever have those?]
He shifted a little, causing the older to tighten his arms around him.
"Baby," Hoseok whispered. The word, now intentional and not just blurted, sent electricity down his skin. "I'm going to get a glass of water. I'll be right back."
"Mm-kay."
Hoseok got out of bed and wandered as quietly as he could to the kitchen, walking slowly to allow time for his eyes to adjust to the darkness.
Taehyung, who came home earlier in the night, burst out of his bedroom at the sound of Hoseok fumbling in the kitchen in the dark.
"A-HA!" he declared in a stage whisper.
"Tae... --what?," Hoseok answered as he sleepily filled a glass with water.
"His SHOES are still here, you beautiful slut. I've taught you well." Taehyung crossed the kitchen and kissed Hoseok on the top of the head like a proud parent.
"Don't call me that. And we didn't--"
"I love you and I'm kidding, but also: BOOO." Taehyung teased, backing away toward his bedroom.
Hoseok rolled his eyes. "Goodnight, Tae."
It was true. They hadn't gone farther than making out. Heavily making out. Bodies pressed together to the point where Hoseok could feel the evidence that his boyfriend wanted to do more than making out.
"Yoongi, you're um... you're stabbing me." Hoseok laughed awkwardly.
"Sorry. I can't help it. You're... you're amazing. I can back off if you need me to."
Hoseok frowned between kisses. "I just... feel bad."
"Don't. If you still don't want to--"
"No. Not yet."
"That's all I need to hear," Yoongi stated, pulling the younger in for a cuddle.
"Do I need to... um..." Hoseok lay with his arm across the older's waist, trying to figure out a less cringey phrase, "take care of that?"
"No babe - don't feel obligated to do anything you don't want to do," Yoongi answered, kissing his boyfriend's forehead.
Hoseok had never been told that before by a boyfriend. He had always been made to feel obligated. Made to feel as if he was being unreasonable for the nights he wasn't in the mood. He confided this to Yoongi as they talked until 2:30 in the morning.
"If they couldn't go at your pace, then they were scum, and I'm glad to be here in their place." Yoongi flatly replied, tugging the younger into his sleepy clutches.
Clearly, Hoseok had been dating the wrong people.
