[Sixty Two]

After breakfast, Taehyung washed the dishes and headed to his first vocal appointment of the day, leaving the couple to hang out before Yoongi also had to leave for work. There were a few more hours until his shift, so they decided to spend their time lounging and enjoying each others' company.

Yoongi sat on Hoseok's bed with his back against the headboard and his boyfriend sprawled out on the bed, his head resting on the older's lap. Yoongi mindlessly played with Hoseok's brown hair as they listened to music together.

A familiar tune came on, a piano cover. The steady sound of the keys being struck reminded Yoongi of his conversation last night at dinner with his family. He looked down at his boyfriend and smirked.

Hoseok answered him with his own cute, questioning gaze, "What?"

"So how long have you been scheming with my hyungs about my future?"

Hoseok laughed, "I wasn't scheming. And I was going to talk to you about it, I just didn't want to bring it up if your hyungs still really needed you at the restaurant. But Jin said they can find someone new with no trouble if you decide to leave."

Yoongi continued to play with his boyfriend's hair, lightly dragging the pads of his fingers along his scalp, "Okay, okay. Tell me about this job... I'm pretty sure I'm not qualified."

Hoseok's eyes fluttered closed at the touch, "One of the senior accompanists is retiring and it wouldn't be until January - they'll start the interview process in December, of course, but you'll be fine. Baby, you'd be perfect for this. Who cares if you were self-taught? Honestly, I think it makes you more intriguing as a candidate for the position. Your hyungs will have plenty of time to find someone to take over your duties at the restaurant. It could be great."

"No one has ever encouraged me as much as you have. No one I've ever dated has ever questioned why I work in a restaurant, even suggested I go after something." Yoongi thought aloud, running his fingers through his boyfriend's soft hair.

"Because they were temporary. They didn't worry if future Yoongi was happy - I do and I plan to be around for a long time. I love you."

"I love you, too, Hobi," The older boy leaned down and planted a kiss on his boyfriend's forehead. "How did you even know about this position?" Yoongi added, chuckling, "Were you waiting for an opportunity to have your boyfriend at the same company?"

"Tae actually told me about it. The position would include teaching part of the time in a classroom in the same building that he and Jimin do on-site vocal lessons. He's hoping you'll consider because, according to him, he'd rather work with a young grandpa than an actual grandpa."

"If you think I could do it, then I'm interested. I'd have more time to spend with you. And starting a new job where I already know some people sounds nice."

"Great! You won't have to think about interviews until December, but I'll ask around to find out what you need to do to prepare."

At work, Yoongi told Jin about his decision to pursue the accompanist/instructor position. He, Hoseok, and his makeshift family had a small celebratory dinner at the end of the night.

Namjoon made some comment or other, amounting to how lucky Yoongi was to have Hoseok meddling in his life to get him back on track. Yoongi didn't really know. He truly had tunnel-vision, a laser-focus, when Hoseok was in the room and wasn't listening.

He concentrated on the boy who might honestly be the other half of his soul. His warm brown eyes locked into his own. Every beautiful sunshine smile told him that he was exactly where he should be - a feeling that he'd never known with certainty until now.

What a feeling.
