[Seventy Nine]
[Friday, November 1]
"SHIT!"
Jungkook opened his eyes after feeling Jimin positively launch himself off his body in order to get off the couch.
"My phone died. I'm so fucking late!"
The blond ran into his bedroom as Jungkook sat up slowly on the couch, a little disoriented from waking up somewhere other than his bed. He sat upright and closed his eyes against the harsh morning light, listening to the frantic sounds of Jimin getting ready in his room.
Memories from last night flooded the younger boy's brain. The feeling of Jimin's lips. How their hands moved on each other's bodies. The way Jimin cuddled into him all night as they slept.
He smiled, eyes still closed.
It wasn't until he heard the opening and closing of the bedroom door that he opened his eyes again slowly.
Jimin ran out of his room, rapidly brushing his teeth as he grabbed a coffee thermos from the cupboard. The blond looked down at his clothes and flung one hand up in the air in frustration. Apparently he'd forgotten something and disappeared back into his room.
Less than thirty seconds later, he returned, toothbrush-free and carrying a scarf.
He looked into the mirror behind the couch as he tied the knit scarf around his neck, concealing the marks that Jungkook had made last night, "I have to go, like right now. You can sleep if you want, eat, whatever. I don't know if you have school today or what--"
"At one o'clock," Jungkook supplied as he watched Jimin stuff his feet into his shoes while zipping his coat. It made him dizzy just watching the older moving so rapidly.
"Okay. Well-- I gotta go. Lock up when you leave," Jimin walked toward the door and then swooped by the coffee table to grab his coffee thermos and dead phone, "Fuuuck. I have to charge this in the car."
The front door opened and closed before Jungkook had time to process anything that just happened.
He heard quick footsteps fading away.
Then quicker footsteps coming back.
The door opened again and Jimin popped his head inside, "Thank you for.. helping me last night. You're a good friend, Kookie!"
With that, Jimin was gone again - off to his vocal lesson appointment.
Jungkook sat staring at the door, his jaw hanging slightly open.
Friend.
The word sank to the pit of his stomach.
Jungkook reminded himself not to panic. Jin and Namjoon were friends for a long time before they got together, and they were now happily married.
If he had to wait for Jimin to see him as more, he would.
He stood up, stretching before shuffling around the apartment.
He went to the kitchen filled a glass with cold water. He took a sip, then froze.
Friend...?
Hold the fuck up--
He made his way back over to the coffee table and grabbed his phone.
Jungkook 💪:
you kiss all your 'friends'?
The reply didn't come right away, and Jungkook tried not to feel anxious
about that fact as he remembered Jimin's phone was dead.
Jimin needed to charge it and was driving to work.
He probably wasn't focused on texting him back--
Jimin :
only you
[a/n can you hear me singing blanket kick?]
Jungkook read and reread the text so many times in disbelief,
he began to wonder if he needed his eyes checked.
And then, another one followed.
Jimin :
if you want
[a/n]
i'm sorry for causing drama
but... you love me?
no?
okay, bye.
