Recap: Ranga informs Veera his decision to get him married to Kanmani at the temple the next day. Veera agree to his uncle's words

Veera and Arul were at a tea shop and Arul was very happy that finally things are falling in place. Veera was happy but he was scared of Kanmani and his mother's reaction which Arul understood without being said.

Arul: Veera, keep your worries away and be ready. Don't get caught with you mother by your own actions. Everything will go by plan and appa will handle everything. Now listen to me, morning come to Radha maa's home and you will get ready there. They will take you to the temple and I will bring Kanmani. Appa will inform Kanmani about the pooja by evening and you call her at night to inform her to wear the saree you bought for her.

Veera: hmm ok. Lets go to town and buy some jewels for Kanmani. We couldn't give her a grand wedding but atleast I want to buy her something from my money.

Arul smiled and they drove to town. When he received a call from his mother he convinced her that he was out to play cricket with his old friends from school. He made sure to return home only at night and soon after dinner he retired to room in the excuse of being tired. 

He fished out his mobile and called Kanmani. She answered it in the first ring which made him smile.

Kanmani: Looks like sir was so busy that he couldn't make a single call to me ?

Veera: I was little busy for the pooja tomorrow. Also Arul said that you dreamt of my father. You are the first person to see him in dreams Kanmani. Wish I could see him once but I m so happy today to know that he is happy too.

Kanmani: So do you know why the sudden pooja ?

Veera: May be he is doing that for us to get married soon so why question him. Listen to me now, I want to see you in saree tomorrow.

Kanmani: I will wear half saree don't expect more than that.

Veera Mv: God, atleast bless me to see my bride in the saree I bought for her.

Veera: Kanmani, why do you always deny anything I say. Just a simple thing I asked for and you can't do that is it ? Please bunny baby, my sweety, my darling, my wifey, my kissy.

Kanmani: Hey stop ok. I will wear.

Veera: Good girl. Wear the other saree we bought from Chennai. I imagined you in that and you looked so gorgeous. Please don't deny again.

Kanmani: Vitta kalyana ponnu madhiri vaa naa thali katta poren solluva pola ( Looks like you will want me to come dressed as bride and you will say that you will tie the nuptial thread )

Veera choked on her words and sat leaning on the headboard gulping hard and prayed all the deities to save him and his uncle for doing this.

Kanmani: Ok, good night. I need to wake up early to get ready. Bye.

Veera mumbled a good night and cut the call but sleep was far away for him. He was feeling all the emotions that he didn't knew one could feel.

He woke up early morning and took bath and got ready in a casual cloth. He stood before his father's photo to get his blessings.

Veera Mv: Appa, please stay by my side and let this marriage happen without any problem. Please give me strength to convince amma. Also forgive me for doing this without her. Please appa, help us.

He turned around and saw his mother glaring at him.

Mathi: What is happening Veera ? I m waiting to have some discussions with you but you are avoiding me and up on that you are always busy with everyone's business except me.

Veera: I m not avoiding maa. Its just I got to see my friends yesterday and I couldn't avoid them. 

Mathi: Don't go out of home today. We have something important to do today.

Veera: What is that ?

Mathi: I have chosen a girl for you and we are going to meet her family and fix everything. Don't you dare to deny my words now. I m very serious this time. 

Veera grit his teeth hearing her words but stopped from blurting anything in anger.

Veera: Krishnan sir called me to help him with some accounts. I will be back in 2 hours. I will have breakfast at his home.

Mathi: I want you back in 2 hours Veera and this time don't think of any way to escape else consequences will be bad.

He nodded his head and left his home. He reached Radha's home and got changed into the shirt and dhothi she gave him. The couples blessed him and they drove to the temple.

At Ranga's home Arul and Ranga were ready and waiting for Kanmani to join them. She walked out and Ranga's eyes turned moist to look at her dressed in a silk saree and she looked like a bride. Arul cleared his throat to avoid any suspect and passed the flowers to Kanmani which she adorned on her hair.

They drove to the temple and Kanmani was surprised to see Veera dressed in a silk shirt and dhoti. He looked extremely smart and handsome. Veera couldn't avert his eyes from her. She looked like a goddess in the mustard silk saree with pink border. The jasmine flowers did complete justice to her bridal look and he winked at her.

Kanmani: Radha maa, you are also here ? What is so special today ?

Radha: We came to temple and got to know about the pooja.

Veera pulled Kanmani beside the temple and pinched her cheeks.

Veera: Semma azhaga irukka Kanmani. Kalyanam pannikalama ? ( You look so beautiful Kanmani. Shall we get married ?)

Kanmani: When you will stop with you kiddings ? Come lets go before they start with the pooja.

He stopped her pulled out the matching glass bangles he bought for her and slid them in her hands.

Kanmani: They are beautiful Veera. Matching to my saree. 

Arul called them and they joined everyone. The priest started the pooja and Ranga saw Kanmani offering her prayer with her eyes closed. Ranga gave the nuptial thread to Veera and gestured him to tie around Kanmani's neck when she had her eyes closed.

Veera's eyes were wide as saucers at his uncle's plan. Never in his dreams he thought he will marry Kanmani even without her knowledge so he shook his head as no. Ranga folded his hands before Veera which made him gulp. He took the nuptial thread in his hands and looked at Kanmani who was still had her eyes closed.

Veera Mv: No, I can't do this. I can't betray her and definitely I can't marry her without her consent. I trust my father that he will help me today. I m sorry uncle, I m not disrespecting you but I m trusting my love this moment.

Veera: Kanmani, open your eyes.

Kanmani opened her eyes and she froze to see Veera standing with a nuptial thread in his hand and looking at her with so many emotions in his eyes.

Kanmani: Veera..

His name came as a whisper and he gulped to see hurt in her eyes.

Ranga was about to speak but Veera stopped him.

Veera: Kanmani, there is no special pooja today. Our marriage was planned by elders excluding my mother and ofcourse with my consent. I only have one question Kanmani. Do you trust me ? 

Tears rolled from Kanmani's eyes and She nodded her head and Veera sighed in relief. She remembered the dream and Manickam's words to accept whatever was happening in her life. 

Kanmani Mv: Is this why uncle said those words to me ?

Veera: I don't blame anyone for their wish to get us married even when you had your eyes closed because they all love us and want us to be happy. Don't think of anyone or that we have reached here already. Tell me honestly Kanmani, will you marry me now ? If you deny then I won't force you and we shall return home and everything will be the same. You will be my Kanmani and I will be your Veera. Tell me Kanmani, will you marry me ?

Kanmani: Yes..

Veera smiled and everyone felt very happy now that Kanmani has also given her consent.

Arul: thank god. Now that my sister has agreed then both of you should exchange garlands too.

Ranga called the priest to pass two garlands from the statue of the goddess. They exchanged the garlands and Veera was about to tie the nuptial thread but stopped hearing Mathi's voice.

Mathi: what are you all doing ? How could you take my son away from me and get him married without my consent ?

Ranga huffed and showed his palm to Veera to stay in place and walked to his sister. He held her wrist and dragged her away to the backyard of the temple. They returned after 10 minutes and everyone was surprised to see Mathi standing without making any fuss.

Ranga: Veera go ahead. Your mother is ok with this marriage.

Kanmani and Veera looked at Mathi who just nodded her head taking the flowers from Arul's hand to bless them. Veera felt on cloud nine and nodded his head asking for permission from Kanmani once again. She smiled and returned the gestured and he tied the nuptial thread around her neck. They took blessings from the elders and Ranga hugged his children. Veera and Kanmani touched Mathi's feet and she blessed them.

Ranga: Veera now that your mother has accepted you both, take Kanmani to your home and then bring her to our home. I will wait for you both.

Radha: Arul, take them in the car and people will also know that Veera and Kanmani are married now. We will go the farm and later reach home by walk.

Arul nodded and Veera held Kanmani's hand walked to the car. He opened the door for her and sat next to her. Mathi got into the passenger seat.

Arul: congratulations to both of you. finally your love story found the happily ever after. 

They reached Mathi's home and she informed the couples to wait before she went inside and came back with arthi plate for them. Later she let them enter inside. Veera and Kanmani prayed to Manickam and Mathi boiled some milk and gave it to the newly weds. The neighbours entered the home and poured their wishes to the couples and started questioning about the sudden marriage.

Mathi: The astrologer said we should do a simple marriage according to their horoscope so we did it today.

Once they all left Arul drove Mathi and the couples to his home. Bommi welcomed them arathi plate glaring at the couples.

Bommi: You got married without my knowledge Kanmani. How dare you ?

Kanmani: As if I knew I was getting married today. They took me to temple in the name of pooja and got me married Bommi. Please save me my dear friend.

Bommi hugged Kanmani and Veera caught Arul's hand looking at him to save him.

Arul: Hey kundhani poi namma marriage ku date fix panna sollu po. Namma route clear ayiduchu. ( Hey fatty, our route is clear now so inform your parents to fix the date for our marriage )

Arul winked at Bommi but she gestured to spit and moved away for the couple to enter the home. Bommi's parents arrived carrying food they had cooked for everyone.

Bommi: Maa, so yo knew Kanmani was getting married and cooked for this occasion ?

Arul chuckled at her reaction and Ranga helped Arul to serve food for everyone. Once they were done Kanmani entered her room to change and Veera sat with Arul who was giving a teasing smile earning a smack on his head. Mathi returned to her home and on seeing Ranga, Veera sat straight and smiled at him.

Veera: Uncle, how did you convince my mother ?

Ranga: You got married just few hours back so stop worrying about everything else and be happy. By evening you and Kanmani will leave to your home to stay the night there.

Veera's ears turned red at the thought of the night with Kanmani as his wife. Ranga called Arul to meet him outside home and informed him to arrange for the wedding night at Mathi's home.

Veera knocked on the door of Kanmani's room and she opened for him. He saw her changed into a simple saree and the nuptial thread was dangling on her chest giving a complete vibe of a new bride. 

He closed the door and pulled her to him and pecked her forehead.

Veera: Mrs. Kanmani Veera.....

Hearing footsteps he walked out and laid on the couch switching on the TV.
