Recap: Veera tried to initiate a conversation with Kanmani but she is busy in taking care of Anika.

Arul stopped the car and Kanmani got down followed by Anika. They stood before the little home of Lakshmi. Kanmani held Anika's hand and pleaded her.

Kanmani: Anika, this is not like the usual tattoos like people get done by professionals from the city. You may get fever or fall ill. You are not used to this type of living of ours. Please think again. I don't want something bad to happen to you and I will be responsible. Moreover Radha ma and Krishnan sir will scold me if you fall ill not only that just remember about your husband please.

Anika: Even if don't believe in all these things our situation forces to believe in them that may give a positive feel for our broken heart right ? So let me do it Kanmani and nothing will happen so don't worry.

Kanmani: don't say the same which I told you Anika.

Anika hissed when the needle touched her bare skin on her left chest. Kanmani wrapped her hand around Anika as Lakshmi continued her work.

Kanmani Mv: Should I get one ? Why did I never thought of getting this done ? 

Once the work was done Anika wore the saree and they returned home. Radha saw Anika's face and turned to Kanmani who informed everything.

Radha: Anika, everything will be alright. Now have lunch and get rest. Kanmani stay with Anika in her room. If she get fever call me I will get medicine.

Kanmani and Anika had lunch and Anika returned to her room to get changed. Radha pulled Kanmani to enquire about Anika's day.

Kanmani: Radha maa, she is so broken and all she does is cry. Every single thing is reminding him to her I think.

Radhika: I hope this ends soon and we could see her smile. Now go check on her.

Kanmani who had been waiting for Anika outside the room smiled when the door opened for her to enter.

Kanmani: Anika, sleep now. I will sleep on the floor.

Anika: Stop it Kanmani and now come and sleep on the bed next to me. Its not like I will be rolling and even if I roll and crush you please endure it.

Kanmani tied her hair into a bun and laid next to Anika who was also facing her.

Anika: Kanmani shall I ask you something ?

Kanmani nodded her head and Anika sighed before proceeding.

Anika: I don't know what is the problem between you and Veera bro but I can see that he too love you a lot and you too love him so why are you avoiding him ?

Kanmani: Love is not simple as it is said Anika. Yes I love him and he too loves me but there is a different in the love we talk about.

Anika got confused and sat leaning back on the wall. Kanmani too sat and leaned on the head board.

Anika: Love is love and what is the difference you are saying ?

Kanmani Mv: Kanmani use this chance and let her realize what true love is. I m so sorry Veera I m using you here to make Anika realize her love for Ishwar brother.

Kanmani: I love him and he too does but he loves the Kanmani whom he had pictured the way he wanted me to be and not the real Kanmani for whom I am. Love doesn't work that way Anika. True love doesn't see the negatives of the person they love. If their love is strong enough then all the negatives and wrongs will never come in their way to stop them from being happy together.

Kanmani Mv: Just like my Veera has accepted me for who I am. Only if his mother is not playing her game between us.

Kanmani: There is love in this world that one can rely and trust without judging and that is mother's love which doesn't have any expectation. They only know to give love and in return they don't ask for anything unlike the love we do which always has expectations.

Kanmani Mv: Wish Mathi aunty was one like that ?

Kanmani saw the reaction in Anika's eyes and felt she had succeeded  with her words. She let Anilka think over her words and didn't disturb her. Anika broke into tears and Kanmani panicked looking at her and tried to calm her. when she could not she rushed and called for Radha who came running to Anika and hugged her. Anika threw her hands around her cried her heart out. Radha wiped her face with her pallu and made her lay with her head on her lap and caressed her head.

Kanmani watched Radha taking care of Anika and the way she was trying to bridge the gap between her son and Anika unlike Veera's mother. She slept next to Anika wrapping his hand around her.

Morning Mathi arrived at Ranga's home and he welcomed her with a smile. Arul passed water to her and looked if Veera had arrive but Mathi informed that she come on her own.

Mathi: Brother, I m here to give you some important news. Please don't mistake me but I had no other way now. I don't think the alliance between Veera and Kanmani will work anymore so let us drop this topic and today I m planning to look for a bride for Veera from the nearby village. Please convince Kanmani to focus on her life the way she wanted it to be.

Ranga: Mathi, please don't do this. I will talk to her. She is staying at Radha's home to take care of Ishwar's wife so I couldn't talk to her. I will talk to he for sure.

Mathi: No, don't do that. I made my mind already. I m sorry.

Ranga was about to speak but Arul stopped him and shook his head. Mathi left from there and Arul drove to Radha's home. 

Radha was pouring the buttermilk in glass for Anika and looked at Kanmani.

Radha: Did you try to talk to her Kanmani ?

Kanmani: I did maa and I saw that she was realizing the reality of life. We will talk to her and make her realize Ishwar bro's love for her. She is upset but she will realize. Come lets go and meet her now. We will try to talk together.

Radha: Did you talk to Veera ? Why did you both fight now ?

Kanmani: Let go of that and we will focus on Anika now.

They reached the backyard and saw Anika was seated lost in thoughts. At the same time Arul reached there with a gloomy face.

Radha: Enna da achu ? ( what happened man ?)

Arul: Veera's mother is going to look for a bride for Veera in the nearby village.

Kanmani gulped her tears that were threatening to fall. Radha took Kanmani's hand in her and took Anika's hand in her other hand.

Radha: Kanmani, I have never asked you or Anika about the problem you both are going through but remember that nobody's life is full of roses. Every one has to face ups and downs and in a relation both has equal responsibilities in holding the knot together. Even me and your sir has fought many times. But shall I say one thing, when he is upset I keep my cool rather than arguing even if he is wrong and the same he does. He never argues with me when I m wrong and still I fought with him. But once we are cool we sit and speak the problem and get it settled which is why we are here still together even after so many years. when you love someone then why don't you give a chance to understand what went wrong and solve it ?

Kanmani: Maa, if there is a true love then it is only the love of a mother and a father. Only in that love there is no expectations.

Kanmani Mv: But in my life a mother's expectations is the problem and how will I solve it ?

Radha: No Kanmani, there is no love in the world that is not pure. Love itself is pure. Its just the way of expressing it differs from person to person and the relation and circumstances between them.

Kanmani: May be but tell me one thing. Is there a mother who will reject his son after knowing he is bad or doing something bad ? No mother will stay away from his son inspite of whatever he does. But a wife or lover doesn't have that patience. Am I right ?

Radha: No, it is not like that. A mother loves inpsite of anything he does because its her way of trying to get him on right path but wife does that in her way of being strict to him or getting angry over him. Mother becomes a spectator in his life at certain point of time and could only pray and wish for his well being and for him to live a happy life with his family but it doesn't go same for wife. She has responsibilities of his/her family. 

She will want him to be on right path not only for her but for their  future, for their children. So a fear engulfs in her heart, a sort of insecuirty of losing him when things doesn't go in the way she expects so we can't blame her. End of the day mother or wife both wish them to be in a right path. Even before a mother I m a wife and I too wish my husband to be on the right path for my family's sake and I would get angry on him and I will try to get him in my way. You will understand the difference when you yourself become a mother.

Kanmani Mv: Does that mean I m being selfish and think only from my point of view ? Is Mathi aunty right from her position ? But nothing will justify the way she is trying to break the promise to her husband. She cannot take the rights of Veera to be a dutiful son to his father. 

Radha: Just think of the moments you spent together. If you feel the love or trust was not sufficient than whatever mistake they have done then let go of them but if love wins then don't forget to give a chance before its too late and you will regret it.

Kanmani Mv: Am I hurting Veera for what he spoke that day ? But he is stuck between me and his mother and how will I blame him in all this ? It was natural for him to lose his cool fool for once from all the pressure he is getting from me and his mother. I will talk to him and fix our problem first but what about his mother looking for a bride already ? 

Radha kissed their forehead and left from there leaving them in their won thoughts.

Veera reached home and saw his mother looking at photos of some girls with a wide smile on her face.

Mathi: You have come on right time Veera. Look at these photos and see if you like anyone. We can speak and fix the marriage. Even if you don't like then we will leave for Chennai tomorrow and I will find a girl for you there.

Veera: Are you kidding me ? Didn't I say that either I will marry Kanmani or forget about me getting married in this life ? Let this be the last time you pull such stunt or if you are hell bent on doing this then I will go far away from your eyes and you will not know what I m doing or even if I m alive or dead.

He picked all the photos and set them on fire before he walked out. Arul who was waiting in the bike drove away once Veera hopped behind him.
