Recap: Valarmathi agrees to marry Kanmani and Veera.

Radha and Krishnan reached the backyard and saw Ranganathan feeding hay to the cows and patting them. Krishnan sat on the concrete seat and Radha placed a plate of snacks and water.

Krishnan: Ranga inga vaa pa. Vandhu sapdu first.. ( Ranga come here and have this first )

Radha: Valarmathi kandippa seri solluva Kanmani Veera kalyanathukku neenga kavala padathinga. Avanga inga vandha apram thirubavum pesuvom. ( Valarmathi will sure agree to for Kanmani and Veera's marriage so you don't worry. We will talk once again when they arrive here)

( Valarmathi hated when Veera's father fought but now Kanmani is like that and fights for everything, I m scared because of that. I want to fulfill Veera's father wish )

Radha: Adhellam nalla padiya nakkum neenga parunga. ( It will happen in good way and you will see that )

Kanmani came calling for Radha and saw the trio with a puzzled look.

Kanmani: What are you all planning without me ?

Radha: Nothing, now come with me. I have got you something.

Radha took Kanmani to her room and gave a bag of new clothes to her.

Radha: Other than the time of training you will wear only these dresses. Also stop going fighting around with people.

Kanmani: You say as if I fight without reason ? I only get into it if they do some wrong. I cannot keep my eyes closed and ignore whatever injustice happens.

Radha: Kanmani, I agree with whatever you say but for once listen to us. Look at me and say that you don't want to marry Veera.

Kanmani did not speak a word and Radha caressed her hair and sat next to her.

Radha: Veera pudikkuma, pudikkadha ? ( Do you like Veera or not ?)

Kanmani: Veera mama thavira vera yara pudikkum Radha ma ? Ivlo varusham avarkaga dhane kaathutu irukken. Aana avar enna nenachutu irukar theriyadhey. ( If not my Veera mama whom will I like Radha ma ? I m waiting for him all these years. But I don't know what he is thinking ?)

Radha: Unakkum Veera kum kalyanam nadakkum. Nee konjam naanga solradha kelu ( you and Veera will get married. You listen to our words)

Kanmani: I will try my best Radha ma. Appa said they will be arriving by evening. I will go now and cook for them.

Radha: hmm go ahead and impress your mother in law...

Kanmani smiled and left with the bag in her hand. Veera and Valarmathi reached Ayyankottai and Arul was at the bus stop to receive them. Veera and Arul hugged each other and jumped squealing in excitement as soon as they met.

Valarmathi: Deiii, ellarum pakkuranga da...( Hey, everyone are watching you boys )

Arul: Mathi Athai eppadi irukkinga ? Vaanga vaanga polam ( Mathi aunt, how are you ? come on come on lets go )

They got in the car Arul drove and Valarmathi insisted on going directly to her home first which was a street away from Ranga's home. Arul dropped Valarmathi at her home and settled the luggages.

Arul: Athai, neenga kulichitu ready ah irunga naa vandhu kootitu poren. Veera nee eppadi da ? ( Aunty, you take bath and be ready. I will come to take you. Veera how about you ?)

Veera: Naa, friends lam pakkanum vaa da polam. Maa, nanum Arul kooda poren bye ma ( I want to meet all my friends, come lets go. Mom, I m going with Arul bye ma )

Once Arul and Veera came out of the home Veera wrapped his hand around Arul's neck.

Veera: Evlo miss pannen da ellaraiyum ( how much I missed everyone )

Arul: Everyone or someone ?

Veera smiled rubbing his nape and they got settled in the car.

Kanmani tasted the fish curry which was Veera's favourite and smiled to its taste.

Kanmani: Veera, evlo neram da varadhukku.. loosu seekiram vaa da.. ( Veera, how long will you take to arrive ? crazy , come soon man )

Hearing a honk Kanmani adjusted her half saree and hair and rushed outside with a blank face. Arul and Veera got down from the car and Veera froze looking at Kanmani.

Veera: Athadi, evlo azhaga irukka ennoda pondati... ( my ..my..how beautiful is my wife ) He mumbled to himself.

Arul nudged Veera's shoulder and cocked his eyebrows and Veera shook his head and turned to Kanmani again with a smile but did a dance mentally.

Veera Mv: Amsama azhaga oru ponna paathen.. paatha odane naa puncture aanen... (song)

Kanmani still did not react on seeing them but called her father.

Kanmani: Appa, Arul anney yaro oru anna va kootitu vandhurukku inga vaa paa.. ( Appa, Arul bro has a brought another brother with him. Come here paa )

Veera held his chest hearing her words and Arul gasped in shock.

Arul: Machan yedho satham kettuche... nenju vedichuducha da ? ( dude, I heard a sound, did your heart burst ?)

Ranganathan came out and saw Arul and Veera.

Ranga: Kanmani enna kannu theriyalaya unakku ? Namma Veera va poi anna solra...unnoda Veera mama idhu. ( Kanmani can't you see ? You are calling our Veera as brother ? he is your Veera mama )

Veera hugged Ranga and they entered inside the home but Kanmani did not meet his eyes. Arul took Veera to his room to fresh up but Veera closed the door and strangled him.

Veera: Yenda loosu payale enna pathi pesalaya ava kitta ? Eppadi da ava enna anna nu solra ? Eppadi avan enna marandha ? ( Hey crazy fellow did you not talk to her about me ? How could she call me brother ? How did she forget me ?)

Arul yanked Veera's hand from his neck but Veera again caught Arul's curly hair and rotated it.

Arul: Deii unna marandha eppadi da ippadi dress pannitu wait panra loosu payale ? ( Hey, if she forgot about you then why is she dressed up and waiting for you crazy fellow ?)

Veera stopped and stood with hands on his hips thinking about Arul's words.

Veera: So she is dressed up and waiting for me is it ?

Arul: aama, enakku theriyadha en thangachipathi. Ava ippadi dress panra aal illa. (yes, I know about my sister. She is not someone who dress like this ?)

Veera: Appadi na ? vera eppadi dress pannuva ? ( Means ? How will she dress if not like this ?)

Arul: Pakka dhane pora enga Kanmani ya ..ippo vaa veliya polam. ( you will see our Kanmani.. now come lets go out )

Veera: Mama, We will go and bring amma. She must be waiting after refreshing.

Ranga: Yes, yes...go ahead. I will set the dinner in the mean time.

Veera looked at Kanmani who was looking away. He saw the half saree she was wearing and a smile formed on his lips.

Veera Mv: My favourite Purple and white combination. ok ..ok.. It won't be that bad to convince as I thought.

He smirked and walked out with Arul to bring his mother. Ranga and Kanmani started placing the dishes.

Ranga: Kanmani, why do you avoid Veera ? Can't you see he was waiting for you to spare a glance at him ? Don't let unreasonable excuses to create problem between you when finally everything seems to fall in place. You know very well that he had no option other than obeying his mother when she decided to leave the village. What would have you done if you were in his place ?

Kanmani: Appa...

Ranga showed his hand stopping her.

Ranga: Don't complicate things Kanmani. I know how much you love Veera. I have heard you and Bommi talking many times about it. I m still worried on convincing your aunt to get you married. what if she go back rejecting you after knowing about you ? so please try to understand.

Kanmani: Appa...if Veera wants to marry me then he will convince your sister so you don't take the tension of that. And about me avoiding him is our personal matter we will handle it.

Ranga smiled and pinched her cheeks. Hearing Arul's screams they ambled to the door and saw Veera, Valarmathi and Arul standing outside.

Ranga: Mathi, eppadi ma irukka, ulla vaa...( Mathi how are you dear ?, come inside )

Mathi: Naa nalla irukken anna..neenga eppadi irukkinga ? ( I m fine brother.. how are you ?)

Kanmani passed water to Mathi and Veera but he took the glass from her hand holding all her fingers around the glass. Kanmani jerked and removed her hand.

Kanmani: Athai eppadi irukinga ? ( how are you aunty ?)

Mathi: Nalla irukken Kanmani.. Nalla valanthuta...romba azhaga irukka. Won't you ask my son how is he ? ( I m fine Kanmani. You have grown up and look beautiful )

Kanmani gave a tight lip smile to Veera.

Kanmani: Eppadi irukkinga ? ( how are you ?)

Veera Mv: Mama solla maatingalo ? ( won't you call me mama ?)

Veera: Romba nalla irukken Kanmani...( I m very fine Kanmani )

Ranga informed them to wash the wash to have dinner and Kanmani placed the plantain leaf as they sat on the mattress Arul spread on the floor. Kanmani served the hot idly, mutton curry and fish fry to others and only fish curry and fish fry to Veera.

Arul: Kannu you didn't serve mutton curry to Veera ?

Mathi: Veera doesn't like mutton but he likes fish curry and fish fry very much.

Arul: Ohhhhh, Kanmani avale kadaikku poi meen vaangi, masala kaila arachi kulambu vecha athai. ( Ohh, Kanmani she herself went to shop and bought the fish and also grinded the masala with her hands to make this curry.)

Kanmani: Anneyyyyy....appa ku pudikkum nu senjen.. ( brotherrrrrr... i made this because our father like it.)

Mathi: Even Veera likes fish curry made with hand made masala.

Veera took a fish and caught it between his teeth and pulled the skeleton looking at Kanmani who was smiling and finding it hard to control her blush. She turned away grinning biting her lips and entered the kitchen and returned with hot dosa and served everyone.

Arul: Kannu eppavum idly dhane seiva innaikku enna ma dosa ? ( Kannu, you always prepare ildy but why dosa today ?)

Kanmani: Anneyyyyyy( brotherrrr)

Ranga controlled his smile and nudged Arul to shut his mouth.

Veera: Dosa, meen kulambu combination ku uyiraye kudukkalam machan. ( dude, I can give my life for dosa and fish curry combination)

Ranga: You could eat whenever you wish to eat then Veera...Kanmani serve more dosa for him.

Kanmani flipped the dosa on the tawa and swirled her pallu and blushed to the sight of Veera licking the curry from his fingers but that short lived when bommi's screaming voice pierced through her ears.

Bommi: Heyyy Kannukutty, enakku konjam meen kulambu vechiya illa ellathaiyum unnoda Veera mamanukke kuduthutiya ? (hey Kannu baby, did you save some fish curry for me or did you serve everything to your Veera mama ?)

Kanmani came out in a hurry and closed Bommi's mouth dragging her to the kitchen feeling embarrassed.

Kanmani: Yendi neeyum yen annanum enakku nalladhu pannama irukka maatingala ? Eruma Eruma vaa naa dhan eduthu vekkuren sonnen la apram enna ? Vaa Vaa idly la vesham vechu tharen.

( hey girl, you and my brother cannot be without doing any good is it ? Buffalo buffalo...I told you that I will keep some curry for you then what ? come..come I will give idly mixed with poison)

Bommi: Apram unnoda ragasiyam la unnoda mama kitta solliduven paathukko.. ( Then , I will also tell all your secrets to your mama )

Kanmani: Ayyo mannichuduma vaa sooda dosa suttu tharen..( Arghhhh, sorry my mother.. come I will prepare hot dosa for you )

Bommi smirked and served a plate for herself and reached the hall.

Mathi: Enna Bommi engala theriyalaya ? ( What Bommi, you can't see us is it ?)

Bommi: Athai nalla theriyudhu. Eppadi irukkinga athai, Veera mama eppadi irukinga ? ( I can see very well. How are you aunty ? How are you Veera mama ?)

Before Veera could reply Kanmani dragged Bommi out and glared at her.

Kanmani: enna di mama solra ? Avar unakku annan....anna nu dhan koopdanum illa thola urichiduven. ( Why are you calling him mama ? He is your brother.. call him brother or else I will skin you out )

Bommi laughed and gestured Kanmani to look at her back. Kanmani turned only to freeze on seeing Veera standing there looking at them.
