Note: I know you all are very eager to know the hidden secret between Kanmani and Mathi but you need to wait for 7 more chapters cause there should a strong before and aftermath consequences to reveal it. A little more patience please. 😊❤️

Recap: Veera and Kanmani have a little disappointment when they couldn't find a way to end the problem.

Veera was pissed and he grabbed the man's collars when he spoke ill about Kanmani. Veera gritted his teeth and tried to slap him but Arul rushed and stopped him from any more disaster happening.

Veera: ambalaya irundhu pondati ya kaapathu adha vittu aduthavanga panathula kudumba nadatha nenaikkura ? Kanmani pathi oru vaartha pesuna kondruven. Oru paisa dowry illa ma naa avala kalyanam pannuven da.( Be a man and take care of your wife instead you wanted to live in other's money ? I will kill you if you speak ill about Kanmani. I will marry her without a penny as dowry )

Veera pushed the man away and Kanmani smiled when she saw him standing up for her.

Kanmani: If only money matters then are you ready to give up on your wife and the child ? You will not have any rights on both of them. 

Shanthi: Kanmani...????

Kanmani: Wait Shanthi sister, let him reply. What will your daughter get from him ? If he is so in need of just 2 lakhs how will he manage to raise the child ? Will you keep giving him money everytime he wanted ? He should be able to stand on his legs and take care of the family. 

Girl: answer her now.. If 2 lakhs is more important than me and my child then why should I live my life with you.

Kanmani: She can stand on her own legs and do business with that 2 lakhs. You will not be needed in her life. She is still young and we will get her married to someone who will value her than money.

Girl's husband: She is my wife. ...

Kanmani smiled and caressed the girl's head lovingly.

Kanmani: Ofcourse she is your wife brother. Take care of her with your money. You should be a son to this family and see how you will be respected by everyone. Money alone is not life.

He saw the girl crying and her hand holding her baby bump. His heart softened at the sight and the people's words advicing him to be kind made him to sigh in guilt. He gulped and mumbled a sorry touching his wife's baby bump.

Everyone were relieved and continued the ritual. Arul, Ranga, Bommi and Kanmani were busy in serving food and when Veera went forward to help them he was pulled away by Mathi. Kanmani watched as Mathi took Veera with her.

Kanmani Mv: Try as much as you want aunty but truth will come out one day and Veera won't the same that day.

She smiled and continued her work. 

Bommi: Yendi unnoda athai ippo enna pannuvanga ? ( girl, what will your aunt do now ?)

Kanmani: Veera pathukuvan nee velaiya paru. ( Veera will handle her you continue your work )

Mathi closed the door of her room and slapped Veera. He closed his eyes being pissed of to the extreme behaviour of his mother and when he opened his mouth he saw her throwing things messing the room.

Veera: Ippo enna dhan un prechana ? Naa irukradhu dhan na sollu poi saaguren. Naa enna kozhandhiya adichu kandikka ? Appadi onnum naa thappu pannala ( Now, what is your problem ? If I m being is the problem then tell me I will die. Am I a child that you will beat me to control my behaviour ? I haven't done any wrong by the way )

Mathi: I have told you not to involve in any fights ? why did you raise your hand to slap him ?

Veera: So you want me to watch doing nothing when some idiot speak ill about Kanmani ? Not only Kanmani I would have raised my hand even if had spoke about you so don't start another argument that I m standing for her alone. I have never forgotten the day when my father thrashed a man for teasing you. I m his son.

Veera opened the door and walked out closing it with a thud. He was completely pissed and  walking aimlessly when he was pulled suddenly and pinned to a wall away from anyone's eyes. He saw Kanmani panting and smiling at him. Without a word she kissed his eyes and cheeks.

Kanmani: Romba valikudha Veera ? ( Is it paining too much Veera ?)

He shook his head as no and Kanmani placed her head on his chest. Veera hugged her gently with his eyes closed.

Kanmani: Sorry, ennala dhane nee ippadi kashta padra. ( Sorry, you are facing all this troubles only because of me right ?)

Veera: I will go through anything for you. The only thing that hurts is the person I m fighting is my mother. 

Kanmani: Nee venum na avanga kooda chennai ku thirumba po Veera. ( May be, you leave to chennai with her Veera )

Veera was already frustrated and her words poured oil to the burning flames in his heart. He pushed her back and caught her chin in a tight grip seething in anger.

Veera: Vittu poradhu ku varala enna aanalum unna kalyanam pannanum nu vandhurukken.           ( I have come here to marry you anyhow and not leave you anytime )

He kissed her harshly pouring out his anger and stopped when he got the metallic taste of her blood. He closed his eyes in guilt for being harsh on her and mumbled a sorry.

Kanmani hooked her pinky with his and raised his chin to look at her. Slowly she caressed his cheek where Mathi slapped him.

Kanmani: Do you think its easy for me to say those words. It hurts to see you like this and it hurts more when I m the reason.

Veera: You are not the reason Kanmani. Its our fate. Lets see what more we have to see to get married.

Kanmani: Go home Veera, aunt must be worried and crying for slapping you. I will send food for both of you. And... And I m happy that you stood for me but don't do that atleast until we get married. You know how much she hates when you get into fight.

Veera: Sila vishayangal compromise panna mudiyadhu Kanmani. Avangalukku pudikadhu nu yarum unna pathiyo illa amma va pathiyo pesuna summa irukka mudiyadhu. Avangalukku idhu puriyanum.       ( Some things can't be compromised Kanmani. Just because she doesn't like I can't keep quite when some speak ill about you or my mother. She must understand this )

Kanmani: Ok calm down. Go look after her now. whatever she does, still she is your mother. 

Veera: Shall we go out somewhere tomorrow ?

Kanmani: Tomorrow I m going to Nilakottai with Bommi. The head master from the government higher secondary school wanted to have discussion on giving self defence coaching for the girls. 

Veera: Then I will take you there and maybe we will go watch a movie to spend some time.

Kanmani nodded her head and they left from there. When she arrived at Shanthi's home most of them have finished eating and she apologised Ranga for leaving in between but he understood the reason why she left and smiled at her.

She packed food for Mathi and Veera and sent Bommi instead of Arul. When Kanmani and Arul returned home with Ranga they were tired and retired to sleep but Arul pulled Kanmani to the backyard.

Arul: What did Mathi do taking Veera with her ?

Kanmani broke down and hugged Arul crying in his arms. Arul panicked and tried to console her but she was crying so much into his arms.

Arul: papa, yenna da , azhadha enna achu sollu. ( child, what happened ? stop crying and tell me what happened )

Kanmani explained how she stood by the door of Mathi's home and heard the sound of the slap.

Kanmani: I don't know what should I do. 

Arul: Everything will be alright child. Calm down. We will find some way to fix all this.

Kanmani: No, nothing can be fixed. Me and Veera will be broken and I m sure we could not be fixed after all the damages are done. None of us could be happy.

Arul couldn't hold his tears looking at his baby sister whom he had raised like his daughter breaking down in his arms.

Arul: God doesn't give any problem to us without having a solution to it. We just need to have some patience to find the solution. We will find too Kanmani. Stop crying and be strong. 

Kanmani: How will I be strong ?

Arul: Kanmani, I know that you are hiding something from all of us and even Mathi aunty. Veera too feels that but neither will I force you to say anything to me nor I will share my doubts with Veera.

He wiped the tears of Kanmani's face and moved the hair from her face and pulled her inside. Ranga who was listening to them entered the room and closed the door to not give any suspicion to Arul and Kanmani that he heard them.

Arul made Kanmani sit on the couch and passed water to her. She laid on the couch with her head on Arul's lap and he patted her hair until she fell asleep.
