Recap: Veera and Arul get drunk and when they sober Veera suggest his plan to Arul.

Kanmani left home informing Arul to lock the home when he leaves and Veera was deep in thoughts. 

Veera: What if we lie that Kanmani has agreed to return Chennai after marriage ?

Arul choked on the food and looked at Veera bewildered. He touched Veera's forehead and neck with the back of his palm and shook his head.

Arul: You are fine then what happen to your brain suddenly ? Don't worry take some rest and you will feel better.

Veera: Hey, I m being serious. As of now let us lie then once the marriage is over we will handle everything.

Arul: How ?

Veera: We can't undo the marriage once it is done. Amma will have no way other than agreeing to let us stay here. Or I will take Kanmani to Chennai but in a day or two we will come back saying you are not well.

Arul: Idhellam nadakkum nenaikuriya ? ( do you think all this will happen ?) 

Veera: Don't discourage me idiot. Atleast let us try. 

Arul: First of all Kanmani will not agree to this. Still let us try and speak to Kanmani about this. I have some work in the farm so we will discuss this in the evening. Before that go home and see what surprise your mother have for you. 

Veera smelled his shirt and turned away his face in disgust to the pungent smell and Arul laughed at him.

Arul: night kudikkum podhu nalla irundhuchu ippo kevalama irukka ? ( It was good when you drank it last night but now it is stinking is it ?)

Veera: Shut up and give me your shirt. I don't want to start another drama in the morning.

He got changed into Arul's shirt and returned to his home and Arul left to the farm to help his father. Mathi was watching TV when Veera entered and she stopped him.

Mathi: where were you the whole yesterday ? Will you realize that this is our home ?

Veera: Maa, what has happened to you ? Why do you question me like I m a 8 year old boy ? It is not new that I stay at uncle's home most of the time. 

Mathi: That was before Veera. Now wait atleast until Kanmani makes her decision.

Veera: Kanmani is not the only person there. I have Arul and Uncle too there. You never stayed home when we lived here maa. Either you used to be in uncle's home or Radha maa's home or any of your friend's home here then what has changed now ?

Mathi: everything is changed. We don't belong here. Our home is in Chennai. 

Veera sighed and pulled his mother to sit on the couch and laid down with his head on her lap.

Veera: Maa, naa unnoda paiyan dhan ma. Nee romba mukkiyam enakku adhe madhiri Kanmaniyum mukkiyam. Avlo easy ah avala vida mudiyadhu maa. 8 varusham thaniya irundhum ennala avala marakka mudila maa. ( Maa, I m still you son. You are important to me and Kanmani is important too. I can't leave her so easily maa. 8 years I have been away from her but still I couldn't forget her )

Mathi: I m not telling you to forget her Veera, just let her live a normal life with you. She can work after we go back to Chennai, you have a good job, we have enough income for us then why can't she come with us.

Veera: Ava varen dhan solra aana konja naal kalichu varen solli irukka avlo dhan ma. ( She is ready to come maa just she wants a few days for that and nothing else )

Mathi: Please talk to her Veera. Just one last time agree to my words and after this I will never interfere in your life. Even I will go away and you can live with Kanmani at our Chennai home. I won't disturb you both.

Veera sat up and looked at her with tears and hugged his mother.

Veera: Maa, enna ma. Unna vittu eppadi iruppen. Please ippadi lam pesadha. Naa Kanmani kitta pesuren aana indha rendu naal time lam venam. Namma vacation vandhu irukkom nenachu irukkalam.  ( Maa, what is this ? How will I live without you ? Please don't talk like this. I will talk to Kanmani but don't force this two days time on us. Think as we are on a vacation here )

Mathi: Ok, I won't force her but talk to her and convince her for what I said.

Veera nodded his head and Mathi smiled caressing his hair. He returned to his room and picked his clothes to bath thinking of how he could convince Kanmani either to accept his mother's words or atleast to lie as he planned with Arul.

Kanmani and Radha were packing a bag with a new silk saree and many more items like bangles, cosmetics. Once they were done Kanmani drove Radha to Shanthi's home in the champ.

Radha gave the bag to Shanthi and Kanmani was checking the groceries that was bought for the cooking the next day for the baby shower.

Shanthi: Kanmani, Ranga anna kaalaila vandhu ellam check pannitu dhan maa ponaru.                  ( Kanmani, Ranga brother came this morning and did a check completely before he left )

Kanmani: then everything will be right. I will come early morning with appa, Arul bro and Bommi and start the cooking. You call me if there is something else that needs to be done.

Shanthi: Everything has been taken care of Kanmani. Thank you so much Radha sister. What would I have done if you both haven't helped me.

Radha: No need to worry when Kanmani has taken the responsibility. Now stop thanking and go pack everything needed.

Shanthi: My daughter's inlaws were supposed to arrange all these but look at my fate I m doing everything for her.

Kanmani: You are doing for your daughter so don't feel bad about it and do everything happily. 

Kanmani smiled and left from there with Radha. On reaching Radha's home, Kanmani prepared tea for both of them and sat in the porch.

Radha: Enna solran Veera ? ( What is Veera saying ?)

Kanmani: He is clear and understanding me. Let's see what will happen. He said he will speak to his mother but I m sure she will never agree.

Radha: Mathi unnoda athai dhane adhuvum illama inga irundhu pora munnadi neeyum avalum nalla close ah dhane irundhinga apram enna ippo ? ( Mathi is your aunt right ? More over before she left from here you and her were so close then what happened now ?)

Kanmani: We both know the reality that is the problem.

Radha: What reality ?

Kanmani: Let it go maa, I will go home and cook lunch for appa. He will return from farm with Arul brother. Bye, I will come in the evening.

Kanmani returned home and cooked lunch. Arul called Veera to have the discussion with Kanmani once Ranga left the home to continue work in the farm. A few minutes later Veera entered the home and saw Kanmani cleaning the vessels. Arul called her and they sat in the hall.

Veera: Kanmani, I have an idea to solve the problem. Just listen and then give your consent.

Kanmani looked at both of them suspiciously and nodded her head. 

Veera: Let us lie to my mother that you are ready to return Chennai after marriage. Once marriage is over I will find a way for us to stay here. Later I will convince her somehow but we will be married by then. Please bunny baby.. say yes and all the problems will be solved.

Kanmani: But what reason will you say later ?

Veera: Anything.. may be Arul is not well or Radha maa needs you for some help..anything I will say and convince her. 

Kanmani: Veera, nee unnoda amma pathi innum purinjikala. Naa ok solren aana nee dhan yen indha plan pottom nu feel pannuva. ( Veera, you haven't known your mother enough still. Fine, I will say as you said but you will regret for this plan )

Veera: Why do you say that ?

Kanmani: Nothing, go to your mother and say that I agreed to her words and you will know the reason. Again don't go drinking after you plan has failed. 

Veera and Arul looked at each other not knowing the hint behind her words. Arul patted his shoulder to calm.

Arul: Kanmani, aunty will be happy and everything will happen without problem. Now we will go and talk to her.

Kanmani: All the best. Veera come back and meet me after talking to your mother. I will wait for you.

Veera nodded his head and left with Arul still a nagging in his mind. Arul and Veera entered Mathi's home and saw her folding clothes. They both had an excitement in their face to make the news real.

Arul: Athai oru sandhoshamana vishayam. ( aunty, a good news )

Veera: Maa, Kanmani has accepted to return Chennai after marriage.

Arul and Veera hugged each other and smiled at Mathi who was smiling but very gently. She placed the clothes on the couch and pulled Veera to sit next to her. Taking his hand she placed it on her head.

Mathi: Promise me Veera, you will never back off from whatever you said now. You will not live here after your marriage and also you will never let Kanmani involve in other's matters.

Veera gulped and Arul was astonished and closed his mouth with his palm. They now knew what Kanmani meant and were stupified.

Veera jerked and removed his hand from his mother's head.

Veera: Maa, you will ask for promise now is it ? So you won't trust us ?

Mathi: I know you and also I know Kanmani too. 

Mathi Mv: How will she agree when I clearly know her motives. I will not let you fool me Veera.

Veera: Maa, she is really ready maa. Why can't you believe ?

Mathi: Why can't you promise if she had really agreed ? Veera, I m your mother and I know you better than anyone.

She left to her home taking the folded clothes and Arul dragged Veera out and they drove away from there returning to Ranga's home. They saw Kanmani was grinding the rice for idly batter and looking at then she returned to the hall.

Veera and Arul had their head bowed and she laughed earning a glare from Veera.

Kanmani: Moracha bayadhuduvoma ? Naa dhan sonnen la.. yen athai romba smart.   ( do you think I will be scared for your stares ? I already told you... my aunty is smart )

Veera: Unakkum yen amma kum yedhachum ragasiyam irukka ? ( Is there any secret between you and my mother ?)
