Recap: Kanmani announce that she wants to stay in the village until she wished after their marriage. Later Veera and Kanmani have a conversation and he request her some time to convince his mother.

Veera entered his home and got face to face with his mother who was looking very furious. He tried to walk past her to grab his laptop but Mathi stopped him abruptly.

Mathi: Veera, what did Kanmani say about marriage ?

Veera: Maa, don't think I m taking Kanmani's side. I m just being rational and what is wrong in her demand ? She hadn't said that she wants to stay here forever but only for some days.

Mathi: You will not stay here and my decision is final Veera.

Veera: Maa, don't mistake me. I have listened to all your words so far and did everything you said to the extent I left her without a word. Do you think she couldn't have got married when I was not in her life ? She waited for me, Ranga uncle waited for me to come back and marry his daughter.

Mathi: Even I m not against it. All I m saying is you should not stay in this village.

Veera: I m done hearing the same lines for years. My father did not belong to this village but he stayed with you here after your marriage because you wanted to stay with your family and if Kanmani wants to do the same what is wrong in it ?

Mathi: Good, you have started speaking so much to your mother now ? If you love her so much and ready to accept her condition then why can't she give up being stubborn if she love you too?

Veera: Why does she has to be on the giving side always ? I want to be the one this time and prove her that I will be with her in every step our life. 

Mathi: Why has she to be so stubborn ?

Veera: She carries the same blood line maa. don't forget she is your brother's daughter and if you are stubborn to not reveal your reason for denying my stay here then why won't she be stubborn in her decision ?

Mathi: So now that she has forgiven you and reciprocated your love I have no values in your eyes is it ?

Veera: illa maa.. Naa avala romba madhikuren yen na naa unna avlo madhikuren. Nee dhane maa solluva amma mela romba pasama irukkavan wife mela kooda romba pasama iruppan nu.  ( No maa, I respect her a lot because I respect you a lot. Wasn't it you who said that a man who loves his mother will love his wife the same)

Mathi: Appo Kanmani yoda decision ku madhippu thara nee yennoda decision ku yen thara mattengura ? ( If you can respect Kanmani's decision then why not my decision ?)

Veera: You are wrong maa. I respected her decision to stay here until she wished also I respected your decision 8 years back. I still respect your decision and never forced you the reason for leaving village back then and even now. So I m being the same towards both of you maa.

He took his backpack and left home sighing in relief to finally convey his thoughts to his mother. On reaching Ranga's home he dropped the backpack on the couch and entered to kitchen to see Kanmani but she was missing. It was a simple two bedroom home and when he didn't find her in the home he hopped to the backyard and the sight made him curse his mind.

Kanmani was seated on the floor and preparing the masala in the grinding stone. Her skirt was pulled up to her knees and her half saree had moved between her breast. Sweats were dripping from face and neck escaping into the valley of the breast. She was so into grinding the masala that she did not notice Veera sitting on the washing stone looking at her.

Veera Mv: Ayyo naa enna pannuven ippadi torture panrale... nallavana irukka vida matta pola..pesama kanna moodikalama ? illa ava yennoda Kanmani yen pondati ella rights um irukku evan keppan.                                   ( Arghhh, what will I do ? she is torturing me.... she won't let me be good...better shall I close my eyes ? no...she is my Kanmani... my wife and I have all rights who will question me )

He bent and picked a small pebble and aimed at her head but it hit on her chest and fell into her blouse. Kanmani got startled fearing it to be some insect but hearing a gasp she saw Veera standing with his palm pressed against his mouth. 

She quickly washed her hands as she was grinding chilli and quickly turned around adjusting her clothes and removed the pebble from her blouse. Kanmani marched towards Veera gritting her teeth and he started to run away from her.

Kanmani: unakku evlo thimiru.. unna enna panren paru innaiku. ( how dare you ? look what will I do to you today )

Veera: Sathyama un thalaiya dhan di aim pannen wrong ah correct ah anga poiduchu..Naa pavam di sonna nambu. ( Promise, I aimed for your head only but wrongly it landed in a correct place. I m innocent please believe me.)

Kanmani: Nee evlo periya fraud nu enakku theriyum Veera. ( I know how much of a fraud you are Veera )

Veera: Masala paru di.. Meen kaka thookitu poga pogudhu ( Look at the masala... crows might take away the fish )

He ran inside the home and entered her room with her following him. Veera closed the door behind her and stood with his arms folded to his chest and he was panting for air. Kanmani was glaring at him with her hands on her hips and she too was panting for air but she knew he had locked her perfectly.

Kamani: I forgive you, move and let me go or else crows will take the fish pieces.

Veera: I saw you have closed the bowl with lid so crows will not get to it. 

She tried to push him but he locked her hand behind her and pulled her to his chest. Their fronts were pressed and he groaned feeling her bosoms.

Veera: I will make sure there won't be a mixie at home after marriage. You are such a beauty when you grind the masala in the grinding stone. Tsk... only problem is I had to fight the urge to ravish you.

Kanmani: Yarachum vara poranga Veera vidu veliya polam. Poi meeting vela paru nanum samaiyal panren. ( Some one might come Veera, let us go out. You go work for your meeting and I will do the cooking )

Veera: Naa ippo romba ketta paiyan mind la irukken adhunala yedhachum kuduthutu po. ( I m in a bad boy mind now so give something and you can go )

Kanmani tried to kiss his cheek but he turned his face and their lips met. He turned her pressing her to the door and they started kissing while his hands caressed her bare waist squeezing them making her hiss in pain but her pain vanished and she moaned when he groped her clothed bosoms.

A few minutes later they stopped their advances and left the room after adjusting their clothes and hair. He sat in the hall working for his meeting and Kanmani continued her work to complete the cooking. 

Two hours later he was done with the meeting and saw Kanmani and Ranga setting the plates for lunch. Arul was frying the fish in the kitchen helping Kanmani. He removed the lid and smelt the aroma of the fish curry and closed his eyes while Ranga laughed to his antics.

Veera: hmmm the aroma makes my stomach growl in hunger.

Ranga: Vaa ukkaru...nalla sapdu... Aruleyyy meen varuval kondu vaa.. ( Come sit down... eat well ... Arul get the fish fry )

Kanmani, Veera and Arul sat for lunch and Ranga served them and watched as they ate chatting and laughing. His eyes turned moist when he reminisced the days when they used to be like this all the day before Mathi decided to leave the village with Veera. There wasn't a day when he used to cook for the trio and even Manickam used to join them most of the days. 

Veera: Mama, namma oru naal thoppula samaikalam neenga samachi kudunga. Appa irukkum podhu namma povom la adhu madhiri.                            ( Uncle, one day we will cook in the grove.. you cook for us. Like we used to go when appa was alive )

Veera gave a faint smile when he remembered his father and Ranga patted his shoulder and Kanmani, Arul too missed their uncle very much. His impact on their lives was too much.

Ranga: Kandippa polam Veera ippo sapdu. Meen kulambu eppadi irukku ? ( Sure we will go Veera no have your food. How is the fish curry ? )

Veera Mv: Kulambum super senja aalu adha vida super. ( curry is good and the person who cooked is too good than the curry )

Veera: Its very tasty uncle..

After they had lunch Ranga sat on the couch and called Veera and Kanmani to sit with him.

Ranga: Kanmani, what have you decided ?

Kanmani: I told you all already appa. 

Veera: Uncle, I have spoken to amma and tried to make her understand that there is nothing wrong in what Kanmani has asked us. Lets hope she will think and change her decision.

Ranga: Veera, I don't want my sister to feel that Kanmani is coming in between you. She might be my sister but still she is your mother and holds a greater place in your life. She might be aunty to Kanmani but once you both get married she will be the mother in law and it is nature for every woman to feel insecure of their son when he is married. 

Veera: Uncle, I made clear that I m not taking anyone's stand here. I will not let any of them down.

Ranga: Its easy to say Veera. Kanmani what is the reason you wanted to stay here after marriage? If you think you will miss us then we will come to chennai and stay there as long as you want. For me nothing is important than your and Veera's happiness. I can't see the family drifting again and Kanmani, there won't be any chances of you getting married to Veera if you don't change your mind.

Arul: Kanmani, like appa said we will come to stay with you in chennai so the problem will be solved. 

Kanmani: Why does Mathi aunt doesn't want to stay here ? Wasn't it this place where she grew up, got married ? then what is stopping her from staying or letting Veera stay here for some days?

Ranga: Did you ask her Veera ?

Veera: I did in the initial days when we left from here but I gave up when she is not ready to talk about it.

Ranga: Kanmani, you tell us the reason atleast. Is there something else ?

Kanmani: I wanted to be here. Help the children and people here. Can't I do that ?

Veera, Ranga and Arul stayed silent knowing the valid reason behind her condition. They were interrupted when Bommi came up to them.

Arul: Vandhu ta All india radio  ( here comes the all india radio )

Bommi: Kanmani, Singaram ore prechana pannitu irukkan pakkathu theruvula.                                     ( Kanmani, Singaaram has started his troubles in the next street )

Veera and Arul shared a knowing look and saw Kanmani running out with Bommi and followed them.
