It was evening time, people's were finishing off their works and returning to their home.. The same routine was of his.. Vineet Malhotra a business man by occupation.. He was on his way to home but had struck in a heavy traffic jam.. He seems tensed and was checking his wrist watch every now and then, as he was already late and now this traffic jam is creating problem for him..

As the signal turn green, he ignited his car and drived to his home. In around 30 minutes he reach to his home, he blow horn and enter into the huze campus of their house..

A lady who was busy in arranging clothes heard the sound of horn.. Her face lit up, she throw the cloth on the bed and run out to the balcony.. She stands there and saw him coming out of the car.. She whistle to caught his attention..

She is Anamika Malhotra, Vineet wife.. She's 6 month pregnant but still act childish..

Vineet look up to her and smiles. She smiles back broadly..

He marched towards the house and she entered inside, she run downstairs to open the door, though they have many servant allotted in the house still she opens the door everyday he returns from his office.

She open the door, he sighed to see her, she was panting but a smile was present in her lips..

He step in the house saying 'kyun bhag bhag ke aati ho darwaaza kholne, itne saare naukar hai koi bhi khol sakta hai na.. Kya jaroorat hai tumhe aane ki.. Agar kuch ho gaya toh ' he said in concern.

'Noo. Ye sirf mera haq hai aur kissi ka nahi.. Aur mujhe kuch nahi hoga, jab tak tum saath ho tab tak toh bilkul bhi nahi' she replied smiling...

Vineet sighed, as there is no use of arguing with her much arguments will only lead to fight and that he don't want..

'baatein banwa lo bas tumse' he said and They settled down in the sofa, a servant serve him water. He drank the water and she said
'meine jo bola tha wo laye tum' she asked excitedly..

He kept the glass on the table and replied 'haan bhai, laya hoon. Car mei rakhi hai Robin (servant) lata hoga'

Anamika hugged him excitedly and kissed on his cheeks 'you are the best Pati' she exclaims

He wrapped his arms around her

'aacha jii. Tumhari farmaishey puri karoon toh I'm the best, aur naa karoon toh bura.. Haan' he asked raising his eyebrows..

She separate from him 'toh aise kaam naa kiya karo ki main tumhe bura bolun.. Aache aache kaam karo' she said childishly.. Vineet smile at her answer..

Anamika jumped in her place in excitement when she saw Robin entering in the house with a big size Teddy bear.. She stood up instantly..

'aaram se biwi.. Robin yahin laa raha the hai tumhara Teddy' Vineet said in concern..

Anamika look at him 'dekho wo kitna dheere chal raha hai.. Wait karne se aacha main khud le loon jaa ke' she step forward but he stop her..

'no, tum kahin nahi jaa rahi.. Baitho yahan.. He make her sit.. Wo yahin aayega kahin aur nahi jaayega' Vineet said, she pouted..

Robin approache to them, he hand over the Teddy bear to Anamika and a bag to Vineet..

Anamika hugged the teddy bear, she was smiling constantly.. Vineet was happy to see her happy..

'aacha isse chodo aur ye pakdo' Vineet said as he took the teddy bear from her and gave her a bag..

'ismei kya hai' Anamika asked..

'khud dekh lo' Vineet said smiling.

She open the bag and found a box.. She opened the box and chuckled to find a beautiful gown inside.. She looked up at him..

'ye mere liye' she asked, her face was glowing with happiness..

Vineet nodded 'haan aur abhi hum ek party mei bhi jayenge' he said..

She got excited to know that they are going in a party..

But the very next moment, her face fall.. She kept the dress aside and turn to other side.. Vineet gets confused..

'kya hua biwi? He asked..

' mujhe nahi Jaana party mei 'Anamika replied..

Vineet make her turn towards himself' kyun? Abhi toh tum khush thi jaane ke naam se fir aachanak kya hua? He asked cupping her face..

'party mei sab itne saare questions puchte hai aadhe toh mujhe samajh hi nahi aate toh answer nahi de paati toh logon ko lagta main unko ignore kar rahi hoon.. Mujhe nahi jana party mei' she spoke..

Vineet feels bad, yeah it was her problem.. She didn't able to catch anybody words and reply instantly unless the person say slowly or explain her what he /she mean, but usually people don't do such thing..they just judge her when she didn't reply.. He had heard it from many people that Anamika ignored them or she was rude towards them.. First he use to explain them her problem but later feels that its not necessary to explain everyone what her problem is after all they are not going to solve the problem nor they will stop judging her so he stopped explaining them..

'logon ke liye tum kahin jana chod dogi, ye kahan ki baat hui.. Wo kuch bhi soche tumhe fark nahi padna chahiye..' he said but she wasn't convinced

'acha chalo, main Tumhare saath rahunga. Fir koi questions puchega toh main uska jawab de dunga.' he tried to convince her..

'tumhare friends bhi toh honge wo kya sochenge ki tum unko chod ke mere saath ho' she said

'I don't care wo kya sochte hai.. Aur aab no more discussion , hum jaa rahe hai bas' Vineet said..

He stood up and supported her to stand, they marched to their room..

Anamika came out of washroom wearing the gown which vineet brought for her. She stood in front of mirror and make face, Vineet who was standing to other side of the bed notice her.. He marched towards her and placed his hand on her shoulder..

'kya hua biwi. Kyun Udaas ho itna' he asked.. She looked at him through the mirror

'main aachi nahi laag rahi naa.. Dekho ye itni aachi dress bhi mujh pe aachi nahi laag rahi' she said sadly..

Vineet hugged her from behind 'kisne kaha ki tum aachi nahi laag rahi.. He move his hand to her swollen belly' you are the most beautiful biwi.. Aur humare baby ke saath you look more beautiful 'he kissed her cheek, she smiles..

' sacchi 'she asked..

' mucchi 'he replied and pecked her cheeks

' chalo aab jaldi karo nahi toh hum late ho jayenge 'he said, she nodded..

They were in the car,  Vineet was driving and Anamika was sitting beside..

' tumne ye toh bataya hi nahi, kisliye party hai aur kiske yahan hai 'she said looking at him..

' party Mr Sharma ki hai.. Aaj unki Anniversary hai issliye party rakhi hai 'Vineet replied without looking at her as he was driving..

' toh gift kahan hai unka.. Bina gift ke jaayenge, kya sochenge wo log 'Anamika said tensed..

Vineet laugh at her statement, she glare him' hanso maat.. Meine joke nahi maara hai 'she said gazing him angrily..

Vineet stop laughing' tum gussa kyun ho rahi ho.. Main tum pe nahi hans raha tha, ek joke yaad aa gaya tha.. He tried to defend himself..

'bas bas.. Mujhe nahi sunni tumhari safai.. Gift liya ki nahi bas ye batao' she asked..

Vineet sighed 'le rakhi hai.. Aage ki shop se li thi wahin pe rakhi hai packing ke liye abhi lete jayenge' Vineet said, she nodded..

In 10 minutes they reach to the shop, Vineet Park the car in road side..

'tum ruko main aata hoon gift leke' saying so he hopped out of the car and moved to the shop..

Anamika was sitting in the car, playing with her phone.. She look out of the window when heard the sound of horn.. She was shocked to see a truck coming towards her car in full speed.. The truck driver was signaling her to run out of the car..

She tried to open the door of the car but it was locked.. She look to the other side and press the button, the door gets unlocked but before she could move out of the car, the truck hit the car..

'VINEETTT' she screamed, the car roll and turn two three times.. And Fall down with a thud, and hit to a electric poll..

Vineet came out of the shop running, his car and Anamika was missing from its place and a small croud was gathered at a distance.. He ran towards the croud.. Pushing the croud he moved forward..

He gets shock to see his car lying down in a miserable condition and she was lying unconscious.. Her upper body was out of the car and lower body inside.. He ran to her and sat on his knees.. He put her head in his lap.. He patted her cheek..

'Anu, Anu.. Aankh kholo' she didn't open her eyes.. Vineet shouted for help.. Some man came forward and help him.. Her leg was stuck in the car, with some difficulties they successfully managed to took her out of the car..

A man stop a auto.. With their help Vineet took her to hospital..

They reach to hospital, doctors took her inside OT.. Vineet waits outside, as doctors didn't allow him to came along..

'aab hum chalte hain bhaisaab' one of the man said, who helped them..

Vineet thanked them for their help and they left..

Doctors came out of OT, Vineet rushed to them..

'Doctor, how's she.. Usse kuch hua nahi naa.. Main uss se mil sakta hoon kya?? He asked in one breath, his eyes were filled with tears..

Doctor kept his hand on his shoulder.' be strong, aapko apni wife ko sambhalna hoga.. Vineet looked at him confusedly.. Stomach pe chot ki wajah se Unka miscarriage ho gaya hai aur internal injuries ki wajah se aab wo kabhi conceive nahi kar payengi..' saying so doctor left from there.. Vineet fall down on his knees with a thud. Tears were rolling down his cheeks.

How will he tell her that she lost her baby. This isn't easy.. It will be very difficult to make her understand but he have to do this..

He wiped off his tears and stood up, he moved to her ward where she has been shifted after operation..

He pushed open the door and enter, she was lying on the bed with closed eyes.

Vineet sat down on a stool beside her. She was sleeping soundly under the effect of medicine.. He caressed her hair lightly. A nurse enter in the ward and gave him a prescription and he left to buy the medicines..

Vineet return after around a hour as there was a long queue.. He enter in Anamika ward and was shocked to see the scenario.. Anamika was throwing things in anger and was shouting continuously to the nurse..

'' kahan hai mera baby.. Le ke aao.. Jao jao 'she pushed her..

Vineet rushed to her and held her' Anu. Calm down '

Anamika turn to him' kahan hai mera baby? She asked.. Ye bol rahi hai mera baby nahi hai.. Batao mujhe kahan hai mera baby 'she shouted

Vineet cupped her face' hum badh mei baat karenge, abhi tumhe aaram ki zaroorat hai 'he tried to divert her mind..

She shouted' nahi, mujhe nahi karna aaram.. Tum batate kyun nahi mera baby kahan hai 'she yelled and again started throwing the things.. Vineet tried to stop her but she was not listening..

Vineet held her by shoulder, he jerk her few times and shouted' nahi raha humara baby. Chala gaya wo humei chod ke 'tears slipped down his eyes..
She broke into tears..

He hugged her' mera baby mujhe wapas laa do Vineet. Please mujhe mera baby laa do.. She look up to him.. Tum meri har baat mante ho na, meri har zid puri karte ho.. Aaj meri aakhri zid puri kar do, mera baby laa do mujhe.. Aaj ke badh aur koi zid nahi karungi, I promise. Bas mujhe mera baby chahiye 'she cried holding his shirt..

' main nahi laa sakta use wapas.. Mere bas mei nahi hai usse lana. I'm sorry, but tumhari ye zid main puri nahi kar sakta 'Vineet said through tears.

She fainted in his arms, Vineet panicked and call the doctor.. Doctor came and checked her..

' stress ki wajah se behosh ho gayi thi, don't worry kuch der mei hosh aa jayega 'doctor said and left the place..
Vineet looked at her tearily.

One month passed, Anamika turn silent. She stop talking to anyone.. She didn't even came out of her room.. Her craziness, her smiles, her Prank were missed by the servants. Like Vineet they also wants her to be happy but she was in grief of losing her unborn baby.. She had many dreams and all shattered just in few minutes..

A usual day after a month.. As usually Vineet was returning from his office today he was not in hurry, he was driving In low speed.. Earlier he use to be in hurry as Anamika use to wait for him.. She came out running to the balcony when he enters in the campus, she use to come down running to open the door for him.. But now everything has changed, she has stop talking him, she didn't even look at him..that's the reason, now he keep himself busy in office..

Vineet took a turn to his home when he saw a pregnant lady was lying on the side of the road.. He immediately stop his car and run to the lady.. She was in semi conscious state.. Vineet patted her cheeks..

'pleaseee, help me' the lady said and fainted.. Vineet took her to hospital and informed the police..

Doctors took her to the OT.. After few times police also arrives there.. They ask some questions to Vineet and prepared a report..

Vineet and the officers waits outside the OT.. The doctor came out.. The inspector asked him about the lady and came to know that the lady couldn't able to survive but the baby is safe.. And it's a baby boy.

The officers were left in thought that how will they solve the case now, they don't have any clue as well as don't have any information about the lady..

After a discussion of some minutes they decided to collect some information about the lady and till that the baby will be kept here itself.. Vineet who was listening to them silently broke his silence..

'Sir agar iss lady ke family ke baare mei pata nahi chala toh, iss bachche ka kya karenge aap log' Vineet asked..

'agar koi information hath nahi laggi toh bachche ko kissi orphanage mei de diya jayega taki wahan uski dekh bhal ho saake aur shayad koi usse adopt bhi kar le' the head inspector said.. He thanked vineet for helping out the lady and informing them, after which they left..

Vineet moves towards the children ward, he saw many babies there along with them was the new born (baby of that lady). A new feelings developed in his heart, he wants to adopt the child but it will be possible only if the police didn't get any clue of his family.. But if they find out his family, they will take him.. He sighed and left the place..

After a week, he got a call from police station, they asked him to visit to police station..

Vineet went to the police station.. The officers informed him that they didn't find any information about the lady and his family members. So they had decided that the little baby will be given to the orphanage.. And they have call him just to inform about the matter as he saved the child and also help the police..

'inspector. Kya main iss bachche ko adopt nahi kar sakta' Vineet asked, he was a little bit sad but was happy also.. He will be able to adopt the child and that may bring her back..

'why not. Agar aap chahe toh aap adopt kar sakte hai.. Aur abhi toh humne iss bachche ko orphanage mei diya nahi hai toh aap direct court se affidavit banwa ke aur birth certificate pe apne naam dalwa lijiye. Iss se aapko jyada problem bhi nahi hogi aur adoption ki baat confidential bhi rahegi.. 'the inspector suggested him, Vineet nodded happily..

' kya main abhi nahi le jaa sakta bachche ko 'Vineet asked, he wants to take him along as soon as possible.. He wants to give him in her arms, he wants to see the happiness in her eyes and the smile of her face which has disappeared..

' agar aap chahe toh le jaa sakte hain, par jab aap sab papers banwa le toh ek baar papers hum dekhna chachenge, toh aapko aana hoga yahan' Inspector said..

And a lady constable came along with the baby, she gave the baby to him. A fresh tear escaped his eyes.. He thanked them and run to his car.

Vineet reach home along with the baby..

'Anu. Anu, kahan ho..' he shout her name and was twirling around in happiness..

Anamika who was in the room sitting silently, heard him shouting for her.. She can feel the difference in his voice, happiness were clearly audible in his voice.. She descended from the bed and left the room.. As she came to the hall, she gets surprised and confused as well to see him playing along a little baby..

She marched towards him 'ye kiska bachcha utha laaye tum.. Wo dhundh rahe honge, de aao' she spoke. After a month he heard her voice.. He marched towards her..

'ye kissi aur ka nahi hai. Ye tumhara hai, humara hai' Vineet exclaims..

Anamika stare at him blankly 'mera' she spoke. Vineet nodded

'haan, aur aab ye kahin nahi jayega.. Main aab kahin jaane nahi dunga isse. Hamesha tumhare pass rahega.. He forwarded the baby.. Lo, ye tumhare pass jana chahta hai' Anamika stretch her arm and vineet kept the baby in her arms..

She smile through tears and hugged the baby.. Vineet secure both in his arms..

'Happy Valentine's Day biwi..' Vineet spoke..

She look at him as she forgets that today is valentine..

'aaj' she blink her eyes to stop the tears..vineet nodded..

She hugged him tightly 'Vineet. You gave me the most precious gift of my life.. Thank you so much' she said through tears..

Vineet separate her and cupped her face 'now can i have my precious return gift.. She looked at him apologetically as she haven't bought any gift for him..

Vineet continues further' please smile biwi. Please 'he requested, she was overwhelmed. He asked for her smile as his return gift.. She curved her lips into a broad smile..

' thank you 'Vineet mumbled and kissed her forehead..

They lead a happy life..
