20. Blueberry Blue

Skyla walked to the funeral venue downcast and already crying. She watched as his whole family arrived and felt out of place. The wake was bright and almost cheerful. Their faces told a different story though. The people were all sobbing in each other's arms.

Skyla, not for the first time, felt so alone in a crowd full of people.

Throughout the funeral certain people stood up and said complimentary things about Ciel and his short 17 years of life.

Skyla was sobbing so much that she bit her lip to stop the sound from escaping. She bit down so hard that it turned a blueberry colour.

When the funeral finished she hugged Stephanie and whispered," I'm so sorry,"

"He loved you, you know. You were the only person he talked about for the last six months;

Skyla choked back a sob as she realised that they'd known each other for almost exactly that time.
