So. This is Shade's in the original Welcome Home. Mind you, that in this AU, they do actually die. Although it hasn't happened in any of my roleplays... If I ever write a Wally x OC or Howdy x OC, yeah, their gonna die.

Anyway, the original shade is very complicated and complex. But, I will try my best to explain them. Also, their backstory/their life before the neighborhood is still in progress, so there won't be much information on that.

Anyway, I will be starting with Shade's current design so I can get it over with.

Appearance -

Shade is taller than Wally, standing at about 5'0 with their shoes on. When they don't have their shoes on, they stand at about 4'11, so they aren't exactly tall, but they aren't exactly that short either.

They DO have a snout, actually, but because they are a bat, it isn't quite as noticeable. They aren't exactly hourglass, but I'd say their more pear like if that is understandable.

Do they have hair? Kind of, it's softer than normal hair, so much think it's just overgrown fur that looks like hair. It's a dark color and is somewhat curly. It isn't long or even medium. It's pretty short, in all honesty.

They have a LOT of purple on their body. Inside of their ears, their nose, their tongue, the membrane of their wings, and their pads/beans are purple. So yeah, lots of purple-

Speaking of their eyes, due to them being a vampire, their eyes CAN change colors. Their eyes are usually purple but have been known to change to a red color to them. Their pupils have also been known to change at times, too. Sometimes, they'll OVER expand which... Perceive that as you will, but can also turn to a slit, cat-like even.

So, their nose is well- Heart shaped, somewhat like the Honduran White Bat. They hate when people, or anyone really, comment about their nose.

They actually have dark fur, which has a slightly rugged look to it. Due to them not brushing it that often. But, despite that, it's actually INCREDIBLY soft. Like a long-haired pet you would own.

When they smile, you'll often see that unlike their siblings, their teeth, better yet their canines, are sharper. More... Vampire-like, one would say. Their fangs CAN indeed get longer and sharper, and they sometimes secrete a black substance that acts like a neurotoxin or a healing type liquid. Only healing those that they like.

Their bat features... Are well, more sharp than the average Vampire Bat's. Their ears are large and are very sensitive to certain noises. Their wings, especially the membrane, are covered in scars. The scars consist of bullet scars, stab scars that appear to be done by a knife (obviously), and a scar that looks like chains were once tightly wrapped around their wings. Plus, there's a bonus to being a bat that NOBODY knows. They have a small tail! Which does wag at times, mainly when their overly happy-

Now, onto their outfits.

You'll often see them in dark colored or even black hoodies. Some will have designs while others don't. Their most used hoodies are a black hoodie with a butterfly design on it.

A pure black hoodie with a purple and black striped heart that's dripping downward.

And of course, their most used hoodie, their black hoodie with a red eye on it.

They'll always find pants to match with their hoodies. And sometimes, They'll just wear a black tank-top with black shorts.

No, they are not emo or Gothic. They just wear black because it goes with their fur and eyes.

Original Shade's Attitude towards Y/N and the other neighbors:

Wally - It depends on the roleplay, their either comfortable with him and trust him, trying to be as calm and as kind as they can be, or in other roleplays They'll just wreck the shit out of him and make him feel like ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Sally - Shade doesn't like the way she spoke to Poppy (It's from the Welcome Home website ya'll-), so, they have a bad habit for being rude towards her and making her feel horrible about herself.

Poppy - Due to Shade seeing Poppy as a mother, they are extremely affectionate, helpful, caring, and kind towards Poppy.

Barnaby - They become a total prankster and play a LOT of pranks and jokes on Barnaby. Showing that they do have a fun and hyper side to them.

Julie - They see Julie as their younger sister (May) when she was younger, so they are very caring to her and will enter overprotective sibling mode for her.

Frank - Shade is very emotional, especially towards Frank, because they feel as if they can trust Frank with even their most darkest secrets.

Eddie - Shade is very open to Eddie and is rather outgoing around him, even helping him carry certain packages due to the bowling ball incident... (Another from the Welcome Home website.)

Howdy - Just like Wally, it does depend on the roleplay. They can either be very kind, affectionate, and caring, or they can just see him ad a boss and give him the attitude he deserves for being boss.

Home - ... They want to burn it to the ground if that tells you their attitude towards Home.

Y/N - If you're a human, they are extremely cold and distant, but if you're a puppet or something that isn't human, they can be talkative and kind towards you.

Role in the AU -

Well, Shade works for Howdy, organizing, putting things up, as well as many other things.

They are also like a mother to their younger siblings and their twin brother, which is why they can be extremely iffy when you bring up them having kids of their own.

Also, they sometimes are a partner/Lover to either Wally or Howdy, so they have to deal with that as well, which can be a huge struggle, and can sometimes affect their sleeping schedule which is already fucked up-

Life before the Neighborhood -

Shade grew up in a very harsh environment due to their abusive and toxic mother. But, they were more of a father's kiddo anyway.

No matter where Stefani (father) went for his shows, Shade was always with him. Their first show with their father was in Manhatten. When the two performed together.

But, their father was struck with a terrible disease which in the end, he did not survive and ended up passing away a few months later.

Shade, had been extremely broken and didn't know what to do, so, they became depressed. Their mother became much more abusive towards them and their twin. She also began to drank and smoke much more. Then, a day or two later, their mother, Wisteria, discovered that she was pregnant with their younger sister, May.

Wisteria continued to abuse her body, and completely neglected the fact that she was pregnant and even began to use illegal substances aka drugs.

Once May was born, Shade was the one who truly raised her. It was shocking when May came out completely fine, perfect even. Once May was old enough, her mother began to care for her more, even neglecting Shade and Aster, who was known as Asteraa at the time, existence.

Shade and Aster didn't exactly mind, but it wasn't until the day their mother decided to sleep with a mafia boss that they began to care.

There was a huge verbal fight between Shade and their mother which resulted in them getting bitch slapped. So, Shade had made a vow that day. They would never become like their mother, they swore that and swore it till they day they died.

Wisteria, who had always been fascinated by the mafia didn't seem to mind it too much, and when the mafia boss, Gavino, asked her if her two eldest children would like to join, she was more then willing to accept, not caring about the repercussions of her actions.

Shade refused to be a killer, to join the mafia, they refused it till the day their brother joined. He was tired of the fighting, Shade didn't blame him.

So, they caved in and joined as well, they were taught how to shoot every gun the mafia had, due to the boss noticing Shade's excellent aim while he was playing darts with them one day.

Timeskip to a few years, Shade had a lot of horrible things happen to them, when they unlocked their vampire form, they had to wear chains all over their body, especially their wings, arms, and legs. They were also made to wear a muzzle to the boss not wanting to risk any of his loyal human members getting bit and drained dry.

Eventually, Shade learned to control themself so they no longer had to wear the chains and muzzle.

But, that was a bad move on Gavino's part, because two days later, Shade put him into a chokehold and snapped his neck, but they made it look like he had killed himself. A few hours before, they had poured gasoline all over the mansion, they had told their siblings to get out before something bad happened.

When they ran outside of the building, they grabbed a lighter from out of their pocket and sighed, gripping it tightly before throwing it at the building, lighting it on fire.

A few years later, they ended up inside the neighborhood.

Extra Information -

Their chest if the fluffiest part of their body is their body, which makes them look like they have an hourglass body, when they really don't.

They have a vampire form as most of you know, that hasn't changed at all.

They are extremely cuddly due to being a Vampire Bat.

Sometimes they sleep during the day.

They will match fingerless gloves to their outfits so that yo7 don't see their scars.

They really just don't like people seeing their scars, in fact that hate it.

They love being upside-down. Like- they LOVE it.

They like to do art, kind of like Wally does.

They wanted to be like their father and be a tap-dancer.
