Shadow's breath was taken away as he looked at the cream colored hedgehog before him.

"M-Maria? But, how can this be? I thought you died and were-" Shadow rubbed his head as he was confused beyond his understanding. Maria just nervously smiled.

"Well, all I know is one second I'm pressing a button for your safety then black, then I wake up in a bed that's across another one and a set of clothes on a rack to my right with an indigo hedgehog sleeping on a desk." She said, Shadow looked at Source with a bit of surprise.

"That's a very keen eye of attention to detail." He said, Source nodded before looking back at Maria.

"When bringing you back to life, I made sure to give you your own personal powers since our heroes have powers-"

"Wait, 'our heroes have powers'? You mean your gonna make Maria a Freedom Fighter?" Shadow asked.

"Well, I don't plan on getting Maria into the Freedom Fighters. That's Sally's choice. I only plan on giving her powers if it's necessary for what she thinks fits her, I can always change it if it's not to her standards." Source explained, Shadow and Maria nodded before Shadow looked at Maria.

"So, what are your powers?"

"Well, from what Source told me, I have the power of healing." Maria answered as she summoned a small pink healing ball, Shadow was a bit impressed as the ball glowed and rippled like water.

"Well, I have to get back with my team, we planned on investigating an earlier battle that happened a week ago. If you need me, just say 47 three times." Source said as he opened up his teleportation ring and walked in. Maria waved goodbye and as the ring disappeared, she looked at Shadow.

"So, what should we do now?" She asked, Shadow looked at her and smiled a small bit.

"Where ever you-" Shadow was cut off by ringing from his earpiece. He touched it and answered.

"G.U.N Agent Shadow here over,"

"Hey there Red Stripe." said a female voice, Shadow took a quick breathe in.

"Shadow, who's that?" Maria asked, Shadow looked away.

"Hey Rouge, I'll talk to you at the base." He then tapped it again, turning it off and looked back at Maria. "Mind if I introduce you to a friend of mine?" Maria nodded. Shadow then picked up Maria bridal style and skated off to G.U.N's base.

Sonic was carrying a crate where Tails asked him to put it when he saw a black object in the distance. He put down the crate and immediately ran off. He soon caught up to the black object as he knew it was Shadow, but he carried something else. A Mobian likely that was cream colored, had a blue dress, blue eyes, long laid down quills, and a headband.

"Hey Shad! Who's that your carrying?" Sonic asked, Shadow flinched.

"Non of your business." Shadow said before yelling "Chaos Control!" A flash appeared and Sonic looked to see Shadow was no longer there and stopped running. He sighed as he decided to head back while the hedgehog Shadow was carrying was boggling around in Sonic's mind.

Shadow appeared in his room at G.U.N's base and stopped to put down Maria, which was surprised and a bit dizzy from the Chaos Control he used.

"Sorry about that Maria." Shadow said as he put his hands on her shoulders to have stop stumbling.

"Shadow?" Maria asked, "What is Chaos Control?" Shadow's eyes widened a bit as no one really asked him what chaos control was. His thoughts were knocked out however when a bat figure came into room which scared Maria, causing her to shriek a little.

"Am I interrupting something?" Rouge asked as she approached the two.

"Maria, this is my partner and close friend Rouge. Rouge, this is Maria, my original human caretaker and friend on the Ark." Shadow said, Rouge nodded and looked at how shy Maria was.

"Aw, aren't you just so cute when you're shy?" Rouge said, causing Maria to be flustered. "Well, I was going to meet Knuckie and Big blue, would you like to come along?"

"Actually, I-" Shadow was then cut off by Maria.

"I think it'd be nice to meet them. Right Shadow?" Maria looked at Shadow, he sighed and nodded. Rouge smirked.

"Alright, Shadow? Would you be so kind and use your Chaos Control ring on your finger then?" Rouge asked, Maria looked on Shadow's left middle finger to see a silver ring with what appeared to be a gem shard in it. Shadow then held onto Maria's hand.

"You gonna be good Maria?" Shadow asked, Maria nodded and Rouge walked to his right side. "Chaos Control!"

Sonic was talking with Tails about what happened with Source.

"The Ark crash landed here? On Mobius?" He asked, Tails nodded as his monitor pulled up an image of the crashed Ark in a field of grass.

"Thankfully, no fire was close enough to burn the grass or Source's team put out the fire when it set the grass on fire near them." Tails said before a flash of light appeared near them. There was Shadow, Rouge, and the cream hedgehog Shadow was carrying that Sonic saw before.

"Hey Shadow, who's your cream colored friend here?" Shadow looked at Sonic sternly before Maria took a step forward and introduced herself.

"I'm Maria, Maria Robotnik." She smiled. Sonic held out his hand.

"I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog. Nice to meet you Maria-" Sonic stopped talking as his eyes widened. "Robotnik?"

"Uh, yeah. Maria Robotnik." She said, "Is something wrong?" Sonic shook his head.

"N-no, n-not at all." Sonic stuttered with his hands up.

"Sonic, may we talk in privacy?" Shadow asked, Sonic nodded and both walked a fair distance away behind a brick wall.

"Shad! Are you sure you can trust her?! She's a Robotnik, and you know only one other person who's a Robotnik." Sonic said, frantic. Shadow sighed.

"Look faker, I get it. But what else do you know about her besides her last name?" He asked, Sonic shrugged as he didn't know. "Well, she was my only friend on the Ark to keep her company." Sonic nodded in understanding.

"You sure we can trust her Shad? She could have information to give to Eggman from the past, or worst, she's a robot."

"Sonic, do you think that the Doctor made a success in making a hyper realistic Mobian robot that is only made to spy on us? No, so what is there to fear?" Shadow was about to walk away before turning to correct him. "Also, she was brought back by that other blue hedgehog." He then walked off back to the group as Sonic face plamed.

"You could've told me that before we had the conversation!" Sonic exclaimed as he followed Shadow.
