Author's POV

It had been three weeks after the little interaction that Y/N and Kyoka had

In those three weeks Y/N had doing his caretaker duties

But the thing that everyone else except Kyoka and Y/N didn't notice was that Y/N had been avoiding Kyoka

There is a good reason for this it because of what happened between the two

Y/N had been avoiding Kyoka because the boy felt bad for his actions for what he did to Kyoka and thought it was best that he would have as much little interaction as possible

But this was hard because Kyoka was given orders by the commander to help train Y/N to become strong and a capable fighter

So the boy decided to not to speak a single word and to avoid eye contact with Kyoka and try to end any conversation with said girl as much as possible believing that Kyoka didn't want to be near him or talk to him because she was furious with him for making her go through such an embarrassing act

And that's what the boy has been doing of course the other girls have noticed Y/N strange behavior

To Himari she believes that Y/N didn't want to keep Kyoka from doing other important duties that could need her attention so she didn't say anything thinking that what Y/N was doing was right

To Shushu she didn't really think much about it instead was doing "other" things

To Nei well since she is a child and has the mind of one she didn't really understand and just did her homework with Y/N helping her of course

As for Kyoka well

If there was a word to describe what Kyoka was going through right now it would be

Annoyance

That was the word the girl was feeling and No could blame her for why she feeling that way

Three Weeks had already passed and Y/N has been avoiding the girl Kyoka already understood why the boy was avoiding her and was trying to quickly end a conversation between them and even avoid eyes contact with her!

But it angered and annoyed her to no end yes Kyoka had only used her ability on Shuuki's and their rewards were just pork meat and yes she was surprised about Y/N's rewards being different from the Shuuki's yes maybe she should have known that a human's laten desire wasn't going to be the same like the Shuuki's she had previously made her slave

But no more she was going to have a private talk with Y/N rather he likes it or not

And just as Kyoka was thinking of how to confront our protagonist said boy had walked into the living room

The reason the boy was there was because he was done cleaning and wanted to watch some tv

When Kyoka looked to see Y/N had entered the living room

Seeing as her chance the girl immediately stood up ready to confront her slave

But when boy noticed his master was in the living room the boy stopped before turning around about to leave said room

Kyoka: Y/N!-

But before the girl could say more her slave immediately made a mad dash out of the room

Seeing this the girl gritted her teeth before chasing after her partner

Kyoka: GET BACK HERE!

What was happening from what everyone would expect it was like a cat chasing after a mouse especially if you replace the cat with Kyoka and the mouse with Y/N

Kyoka: STOP!

The chase was both ridiculous and funny with the two running around the entire dormitory with one chasing after the other while the other trying not to get caught by the other

Kyoka: DAMN IT ALL I SAID STOP DAMN IT!!!

The silver haired chief suddenly jumps in the air and tackles Y/N

But this in turns caused the two roll out of control

Kyoka & Y/N: AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

It was then that Y/N saw a wall that the two were going to collide

Quickly taking action the black haired teen wraps his body around his master in an attempt to protect her

The boy's body makes impact with the hard stone wall making the scream in pain and spit out some blood

Kyoka eyes widen at what she saw

Kyoka: Y/N!!!

The girl screamed the boy's name with said young man passing out

Y/N can be seen waking up from small coma

Y/N:(Groans) The hell?

The young rubs the back of his head only to realize that there were bandages

This confuses the boy as he wonders why he was wearing bandages on his head?

But then he would remember about why he was back in the medical room making the young man wince at the memory

It was when Y/N was rubbing his head the boy immediately noticed that Kyoka was there with him but she was asleep

The boy felt nervous because he was alone with a woman well at least one that wasn't  trying to get him to become their boy toy or trying to use him to train their abilities

The boy looks at his master despite that he has only own her for a short time the young man feels NO he knows that Kyoka is different from the other girls he had the unfortunate luck of encountering in the past

The black haired slave brushes his hands against Kyoka's beautiful silver hair

But in doing so caused the girl to stir in her sleep

The girl raises her head she opens her eyes and rubs them to get rid of the sleepiness

Once the girl felt she was fully awake she that her slave was looking her

Once Kyoka realizes that Y/N was fully awake immediately she started inspecting her slave's body to make sure there weren't any permanent damage

Meanwhile said slave was taken aback by what his master was doing but sat still not moving a single muscle until the girl was done with her inspection

After a bit the girl had finally finished her inspection of any permanent damage on Y/N's body to which Kyoka breathes a sigh of relief to know that she didn't find any

Tension in the room soon rose as it was realized that Kyoka now had Y/N with said boy now nervous about what was going to happen to him

Kyoka: Y/N

The girl said as she gives the boy a glare in his eyes which made the boy even more nervous

Y/N: Y-Yes

Kyoka: We need to talk

Y/N: o-Oh okay but where Shushu and Himari and Nei?

The young man said in an attempt to change the topic but unfortunately the girl saw right through it

Kyoka: Nice try

The young black haired slave sweats knowing that his effort in changing the subject had been thwarted

Kyoka: Y/N I need you to stop

Y/N: S-stop stop what? What are you talking about?

The silver haired girl glares harder at Y/N making the boy regret his words

Without warning Y/N's master immediately got on the bed and got her slave's lap and wraps her legs around Y/N's waist in an effort to prevent the boy from trying to escape her grasp

Kyoka: You know what I mean don't you dare play pretend with me!

The girl shouted at the boy as she grabs the boy's face in her hands making said young man look at her in the eyes

As the two made eye contact with each other it was then did everything froze almost as if time had frozen just as the two had made eye contact with one another

Black eyes met pink eyes and who they were connected the two were frozen in the same position

The room was completely silence the two were unable to move or make a sound as they stared into each other's eyes

It was only just Y/N and Kyoka alone together in one room on a bed

Their lips were just a small distance away from each

The two would then lean towards each other as their lips were getting closer and closer and were about to connect

Unfortunately a loud knock was heard from the door of the medical room and because that the beautiful moment was ruined

The two came back to reality and immediately realized the position they were in

The two blushed and Kyoka immediately got off of Y/N's back with the boy fixing himself

Kyoka: W-Who is it?!

Himari:(Behind door) It's me chief is Wakura up now?

Kyoka: Yes he is

Himari: Good because is time for him to prepare lunch immediately and do the laundry and check if the vehicles are still operational

Y/N:(Mind) Seriously what the hell did I ever do to her?

After Himari was done saying what she needed to say the girl left the room as she knows that Y/N heard her and wasn't sorry for what she said

The silver haired chief just sighs at the girl's words before looking at Y/N

Kyoka: On behalf of Himari I apologize for her words

Y/N: No it's fine I mean I don't know what I did to make her hate me but

The boy said as a smirked with Kyoka taking notice

Y/N: It's just going to be even more sweeter when I earn her respect

The young man said as he pumped his fist in the air

Seeing this made Kyoka have a small smile on her

Y/N: I should get dressed and prepare lunch as soon as I can right

The boy said as he tries to get away from Kyoka using the excuse that Himari had "Helped" make to get him away

But unfortunately for the boy his hopes were crushed as he felt a strong tug on his hospital shirt

Slowly the boy turned his head to see Kyoka's face covered in shadows

Kyoka: Where do you think your going?

The silver haired girl said in an ominous voice that made the boy give up that he was gong to be able to get away

Y/N: Nowhere

The boy said in a defeated voice understanding that will not be able to getaway

With that Y/N sits back down on the medical bed with Kyoka being to speak

Kyoka: Y/N I need you to stop I know you know what I mean

The girl said in a stern voice

Y/N: Kyoka why are you doing this I mean are you really okay with giving the rewards

Kyoka: I see so that's why you've been avoiding me

Y/N: I just don't understand why your willing to put yourself in "that" situation because whatever it is it can't be that important then your dignity

The pink eyed girl took in a deep breath before releasing it

Kyoka: I was a victim of a Mato Disaster

Hearing this caught the boy's attention

Kyoka: Have you heard of the Gassan Oisawa Massacre

Y/N: Wait you don't mean the one where those's monsters massacred an entire village!?

It was at that moment Y/N came to a realization as he looks at Kyoka in shock

Kyoka: Yes I'm the only survivor of that night

The girl said as she shakes her head not wanting to remember that horrible night where she lost everyone she loved

Kyoka: Soldiers of the Mato defense corps came and slaughtered every Shuuki but when I finally joined the corps I found out that one was able to escape it was a Shuuki but it was different from the rest it was bigger and more muscular then the rest it wore a armor on its body and ha-

Y/N: It had an abnormally large long and sharp horn

The lone survivor of the Gassan Oisawa massacre looks at Y/N in shock

Kyoka: Y-yes no wait how do you know that!?

Y/N: This may be hard to believe but I saw it

Kyoka looks at the boy confused this was because the girl knew everyone in her village and she knows Y/N was not among them because she would have recognized him

Kyoka: Explain

Y/N: I know this sounds crazy but I think "Slave" somehow allowed me to see into your memories when I was in my mini coma

The girl looks at Y/N trying to see if she can find any trace of lies in the boy's words but realize that the boy is telling the truth

This made Kyoka think about her ability like how in the world it was able to do such a thing as it has never done so before but once the girl thought about she had not used her ability on another human until Y/N

With this in mind the owner of the ability "Slave" made a mental note to write about her new findings about her ability on her next report

The girl shifts her attention back to Y/N

Kyoka: I see in that case I believe you

Y/N:(Blinks) Wait just like that?!

Kyoka: I can tell when someone is lying to me so you have nothing to worry about

Y/N: Well that's good to hear

Kyoka: But anyway back to the topic at hand you know that the peaches and the Shuuki's are subjects of research but I am different I will not allow others to suffer over something completely ridiculous

The girl said as she clenched her fist tightly

Kyoka: The commander is to lax that is why I will become the next commander and change the corps and lead it exterminate every last Shuuki's and for that to happen I need power besides

The girl said with determination that Y/N could feel

Kyoka: And besides My dislike towards you is surprising low

The boy was surprised hearing his master say that and had a small blush on his cheeks but would shake his head as he would come to a realization and begins to speak

Y/N: But Kyoka if you do that the governments from around the world won't just sit by and allow you do that as because of Mato more job opportunities were opened and because of it people are benefiting from it are you saying your-

The boy was going to say more Kyoka looks at him with a small smile on her face that surprised the young man making him realize that the girl already understood what she was getting herself into

Suddenly the boy would grab his master's hands and put them into his own much to the surprise of the girl

Y/N: Then I promise to help you to make your goals come true I even willing to stand with if the whole world becomes our enemies

The girl was surprised that the boy was willing to help her accomplish her goals and had a small blush on her face because of how touched Kyoka felt that Y/N was still going to help her even though he would be made an enemy and also because how the boy was firmly holding her hand as Kyoka could feel just how warm Y/N's hands were

The girl wanted Y/N to continue holding her hands so that she could continue feeling his warm hands

The girl suddenly shook her head

Y/N:(Confused) Kyoka are you okay?

Kyoka: Yes I am

The girl said as she looks at Y/N with a small smile but had a small blush on her cheeks but luckily Y/N didn't noticed because he could barely see the blush

The boy spoke getting the girl's attention

Y/N: Kyoka can I tell you something

The girl looks at her slave curious of what the boy has to say

Kyoka: You can go ahead I'm listening

The boy took in a deep breath because of what he was about to say was sensitive but he feels that he can trust Kyoka despite that it hasn't been long since the boy met said girl

Y/N: I lost my sister in a Mato Disaster when I was a kid

The silver haired female teen looks at Y/N with wide eyes

Kyoka:(Mind) We're almost the same

Y/N: I know I don't have proof but I believe my sister is still alive and thriving in Mato and so I have decided that I would try to get a job in the Mato defense corps by becoming a caretaker

Kyoka: So that's why you easily accepted your job

Y/N:(Nods) Yes that and I knew I couldn't become a member because of not just my gender but also because I don't couldn't have a blessing from the peaches

Kyoka: But like you said Y/N you don't have any evidence to prove your claim that your sister is alive

Y/N: I know but Through my bond with my sis I know that Aoba is still alive and is surviving I made up my mind that I would find her and bring Aoba back home

Kyoka was surprised as the girl could feel the boy's conviction as it was as strong as her's making said girl smirk as felt that she had found someone just like her even if their goal was a little different from her's

Kyoka: then just like you Y/N I'll do my best to help you find your sister

Y/N: Kyoka

Kyoka: Well then I believe it's time for you to get to work?

Y/N: Oh yeah I'll get lunch ready right away!

With that the three years younger teen left the medical room leaving Kyoka alone

Kyoka: Y/N Wakura

The silver haired girl said as a smile appears on her beautiful face

Kyoka: I wonder what the future will hold with you around?

Ding Ding Ding

Y/N:(Yells from kitchen) Lunch is ready come and get it while it's still hot!

Soon the wonderful smell of Y/N's cooking reached Kyoka who smell it as the sound of her stomach grumbling was heard

Without hesitation the girl dashed out of the medical room excited to eat her slave's cooking

Unknown to either Y/N or the seventh unit was that their would be many trails that awaits them ready to test their resolve and push them beyond their own limits
