Satvik realised someone's gaze on them and signalled Sahil. Both of them controlled their laughter as they saw it was Ritika who was watching them from far. Satvik kept the straight face whereas Sahil gave her a small smile.

"You are early, it's not practising time yet." Satvik cleared his throat.

"Umm... I wasn't having any work so came here." she lied as she didn't know why she came behind him.

"Okay!" Satvik understood she was lying as she didn't meet his gaze. Also, it didn't bother him much.

"So Rits, we are friends right?" Sahil interrupted in between as there was dead silence between them.

"Sahil who told you she is your friend huh? And I told you her name is Ritika, not Rits." Satvik huffed as Rits didn't even correct Sahil but when he called her by that name she gave him a tough time.

"Ohh! Then why did you called her Rits, is that name reserved only for you?" Sahil mocked in a teasing tone.

"Sahil!" Satvik warned him.

They both were acting like siblings who fight now and then for chocolates and icecreams.

"Guys stop! Don't fight for a silly reason. And Sahil we are friends and you can also call me Rits." Ritika shouted at them and was elated as she never saw someone to fight for her friendship.

Satvik frowned as when she met him she wasn't even ready to talk with him with a straight face but with Sahil she acts like a childhood bestie.

'Sahil hasn't pranked her in first meet, idiot' his mind taunted him.

"So let others come too, today we will have girls and boys practice together," Satvik instructed as he had some plans under his sleeves.

Other players too came and started their practising. Satvik acted cold towards Aaditya and didn't even spare a look at him. While playing he deliberately knocked Aadi and made him fall.

"Sorry, bro! Are you okay? It's my bad." Satvik said with extra sugar-coated words. He forwards his hand to Aadi to get him up.

"Ya, it's okay," Aadi replied as he took Satvik's hand for support.

Aaditya had difficulty walking so he took Ritika's help to go to the medical room in college.

Aaditya wasn't able to understand what had happened suddenly also that Satvik pushed him deliberately. He thought it was just an accident but only does he knows.

But all these happenings were seen and understood by Ritika. She was one of the best players so she knew that the technique used by Satvik was used to distract the opposition by making them fall without any foul play.

She thought to confront Satvik but at that point, she went with Aadi. As both went to the Medical room and thankfully there were no serious injuries. Satvik too followed them as they wrapped the game for that day.

"You did this intentionally?" Sahil asked Satvik who followed them to the medical room.

"What? it was an accident, Sahil" Satvik groaned.

"Buddy, I know you for a very long time and you are best in basketball you can't do anything wrong as if it was a match it would have been declared foul, right?" Sahil asked as he had zero knowledge of the game. If someone fell that's foul for him.

"Don't overthink bro, it's an accident... Umm... I was concentrated in-game and he came in between so by mistake I knocked him." Satvik stammered as he found it hard to lie to Sahil.

Sahil glared at him as he knew Satvik's anger issues. He always advised him to have control over his anger but all in vain. Satvik's anger will land him in grave danger one day.

"Aadi! Are you okay? I told you many times not to play that stupid game but you never listen to me. See where you have landed yourself." Zoya started her blabbering as she saw the doctor examining Aaditya whereas Ritika stayed there quietly.

"Rits, you can go to your place I'll take Aadi home," Zoya told Ritika and was typing something on the phone whereas Aadi wanted to stop her.

"No... I'll..." Ritika tried to say something but Zoya cut her in middle.

"Rits, don't worry I already messaged the driver he will come. You go." Zoya practically chased Ritika out of the medical room.

While Aadi kept looking at Rits longingly. He wanted to stop her but also he wanted to know the reason for the coldness between both of his girls' friends. He mentally planned to ask Zoya about the same.

As Ritika was leaving college she saw Sahil and Satvik.

"Urgh... Umm." Ritika cleared her throat as she saw them discussing rather than shooting glares at each other.

"Hey Rits, how is Aaditya?" Sahil asked her as Satvik lost his words.

"He is fine, just muscle sprain. The doctor gave him muscle relaxant and advised him to not give much pressure for few hours," she answered him.

"Okay! Guys let's leave now. I have to go to a club." Sahil said and left them.

"Sahil works part-time in a club." Satvik cleared as he thought she would misunderstand Sahil as he was not good in studies and now going to club.

"But I didn't ask about him anything," Rits replied.

"I thought you would judge him like Aaditya and Zoya," he confessed genuinely as he knew that she is their friend.

"I don't judge people by their first impression that's a reason I'm your friend otherwise I wouldn't even have talked with you." she retorted.

"Oh really!" he was amazed by her choice of answers.

Satvik judged Ritika quite early. He thought that she is an emotional, introverted girl who keeps things to herself but in reality, she can shut any person with her witty replies. She had insecurities which hold her back.

"Yes! Let's leave. It's getting late." she offered him as it was past their college time.

"Who is with Aaditya?" Satvik inquired as his one part felt a little guilty but the other part said Aaditya deserved that as he was a gentleman and can't say anything to Zoya.

"Zoya is there and she will take him home," Ritika answered but she didn't meet his gaze as she remembered her words and even tone.

"Okay! Come let's also leave I will drop you," he said and she nodded in yes. Satvik went towards the parking area brought his bike whereas Ritika was waiting for him near the college gate.

"Can I ask you something?" she asked him as she settled behind him on his bike.

"Yeah sure!" he replied still concentrated on his driving.

"Why did you pushed Aadi and don't tell me it was an accident and bla.. bla... because I know the technique you used is used for knocking which isn't foul too!" she commanded.

"Umm.. actually you know that he laughed at Sahil in the canteen which I didn't like so just a small revenge," he explained without lying.

Satvik was always honest with his answer whether they hurt others or not he didn't care but he never lied. If he didn't want to answer he would simply stay quiet.

"You could have been suspended from college if Aadi complaint against you," she warned him as she felt he has a certain reason behind that.

"I thought about its consequences too, Rits, then only I did that." he was annoyed with her interrogation.

"He would have got fracture too!" she elaborated.

"For god's sake, you are also a basketball player and you know its effect so chill and let's forget about it. If you want you can complain about me to management I'm ready for any action." he was pissed with her constant blabbering as he was disappointed in himself for letting his anger overpower his senses.

"If I wanted to complain against you I would have done at that moment itself but I wanted to know your reasons too that's why I asked you." she defended.

"How can you be friends with Aaditya and Zoya? You are just opposite to them." he was stunned by her replies. If it was any other person he would have supported his best friend rather than knowing the other part of the story.

"Coz I'm different," she commented with a smile and unknowingly he too smiled with her.

She was a completely different person when she was with him. He kind of made a comfort zone for her. She wasn't even that comfortable around Aaditya and Zoya even though they were her childhood friends.

She never thought that she would gel with others easily but with Satvik she didn't hesitate to share her thoughts. Because of that she even accepted Sahil's friendship without much thinking. It was a drastic change in her.
