"Hey, baby how are you? I miss you so damn much." said that girl still hugging Satvik.

He was shocked that a random girl came and hugged him openly. Also that she was addressing him as 'baby' made him uncomfortable.

He freed himself from her and asked.

"Hey! Who are you? Why are you acting so clingy?"

"I missed you baby." pouted that girl.

"Firstly, I'm not your baby so stop calling me that. By the way, do we know each other?" he asked thinking whether he knows her or not.

"Baby I'm Mia.. you remember we met last week in a club, Sahil your friend introduced us. Also, I proposed you but you're ignoring me like a plague since then." she pouted.

"For last time I'm telling you that I'm not your baby and that day I already cleared that I don't believe in relationships and all," he stated with clarity in his voice.

"But Satvik..."

Before she could say anything he saw Ritika looking at them with a confused expression. Then an idea hit him which could make Mia understand that he was not interested in her. He took a deep breath and went near Ritika.

"Please help me. I promise I won't trouble you further but right now help me please." he pleaded.

"What help?" she asked.

"Just play along," he said and she kept looking at him not knowing what to say.

Without thinking about the consequences he looped his hand around he waist securely and pulled her closer.

"Mia, meet Ritika Khurana, my girlfriend," said Satvik.

Everyone there was damn shocked that their mouths were wide opened. Ritika was too startled to even respond. As soon as she registered what Satvik said she open and closed her mouth like a fish but words left her mouth.

"I'm not his girlfriend." she blurted as soon as she composed herself.

"See Mia, because of you, now she is upset with me." he answered looking at Mia and then pouted looking at Ritika and said "Baby there's nothing between me and Mia, I only love you." caressing her cheeks.

He gestured through his eyes to play along.

"Hey, she is a new girl right. Already fell for Satvik." One girl murmured.

"Yeah! even she was hugging Aadi, I saw in the morning." Another girl mumbled.

"Such a characterless girl she is! First Aadi and now Satvik."

Girls and boys were whispering about her at that reminded me of how people used to bad mouth her because of her so-called mother.

Ritika was a sensitive girl and the kind of looks girls were giving her since morning made her damn uncomfortable.

And even now some were shooting daggers at her whereas some were looking at them in awe. Satvik was still holding her possessive-ly.

It was a kind of panic attack. Unknowingly tears rolled down her cheeks. And as he glanced at her he noticed that she was looking at nothing particularly and tears were freely rolling from her eyes.

"Hey! Rits are you okay!" he wiped her tears with his fingers. He felt something was wrong with her but he can't ask anything there.

That's when she came back to her senses.

"Yeah, I'm fine. What's happening here and why girls are looking at us?" she asked confusingly as though she didn't have any knowledge of whatever happened there.

"No nothing is happening! Let's go from here," he said politely and started to leave with her now holding her by her shoulders.

"I'm so sorry Ritika, I was not knowing that Satvik loves you and he was committed. He always ignored me just like others but anyways leave it. I'm so happy for you both." Mia confessed as she saw Ritika crying and that made her guilty of creating a misunderstanding between the couple.

Satvik felt like the cold bucket of water was thrown on him. He never thought Mia to be this understanding. As he met her in the club. He had seen her like a rude girl who only loves herself. One who enjoys life without thinking about others and lived in her bubble.

"Satvik doesn't be surprised, I always knew you don't love me but I thought maybe one day you will reciprocate my feelings." she continued.

"Mia, I'm so sorry and I mean it. Also Mia, umm... Ritika... is not my girlfriend but it's also true that I don't love you." Satvik gulped as he felt the need to make clear all the misunderstandings.

"I told you many times that I don't love you but you were always behind me for a week that's why I thought that if today I will say that I'm in a relationship you won't disturb me again"

"But because of that Ritika got hurt and I'm sorry Rits...umm Ritika I know you are upset with me from morning and now this, please forgive me." Satvik apologized genuinely looking at Ritika with a cute puppy face.

Ritika had enough for the day. She didn't even spare a look on Satvik and went away towards the gate. She just wanted the day to get over without further drama. She was feeling claustrophobic.

Mia just gave a sad smile to Satvik and went away. He didn't have any mood to take further practice. He was damn upset from himself that he unknowingly hurt a girl. He looked around and most of the people were looking at him. Some were giving glares whereas some were giving him slight sympathetic looks.

"Okay girls and boys, tomorrow the boys and girls team will practice together. I'll take your leave now." Satvik cleared his throat and went towards changing room to change.

He also thought that the day should just end abruptly. He didn't have any energy to answer anyone's questioning glares.

He changed to his regular clothes and went towards the parking area to take his bike and go to his apartment.

On the way, he went to a church near his apartment. As he entered the church he heard someone was sobbing. He felt something strange and went to that person.

The person was sniffing silently but the environment of the church was silent enough to hear those sniffs. When he went near he saw a girl crying helplessly as though all her hopes were shattered.

"Are you okay?" he asked her by keeping his hand on her shoulder.
