Third-person POV

Aaditya quickly drove to the city hospital. The receptionist stopped him as the visiting hours were over. He asked her permission just to meet Ritika and after that, he will leave. The nurse said yes by one condition that she will be outside the room and he only has 10 min.

There he saw Ritika was resting whereas Satvik was relaxing on the couch in a sleeping position. He went near her and caressed her hair. As he was about to sit near her he accidentally dropped the medicines on the side table.

Satvik flinched and got up whereas Ritika was still sleeping because of medications.

"Umm...hey!" Satvik said as he noticed it was Aaditya.

"Hello! I'll stay here you can go, Satvik," Aaditya said, Satvik just nodded in yes and left the room as Aadi had more rights on Ritika.

But the nurse outside came and told Aadi that it's against the rules as Satvik had already signed all the necessary documents and only he can stay there.

Aadi didn't trust Satvik because of his playboy nature but also he knew that Satvik won't do anything if it's one-sided.

"Umm....but mam.." Aadi was about to say but the nurse interrupted.

"Sir, it's a rule to allow visitors only in a given time but I allowed you after that and now you wanna stay, I can't do anything as it will affect my job. Also, you have 5 more minutes." She said and left after reminding him.

"It's okay, Aaditya, I will take care of her! Also, tomorrow she will get a discharge in the morning. You can meet her that time." Satvik told.

"Yeah! I think I should leave and please don't hesitate to call me if the problem persists." He said and left after pecking Ritika's forehead.

"Can you tell me how you both are in hospital? What happened to her?" Aadi asked and Satvik wasn't sure about should he tell you Aadi or not.

"Ritika fainted in college so I brought her here, nothing serious but the doctor said to keep her under observation for a night," Satvik told which wasn't a complete lie.

Satvik wanted to know about Ritika's past panic attacks but thought asking Aadi will bring differences between Zoya and Aaditya as she was avoiding being Aadi but now the question was how he came to know?

Aaditya fell into deep talk about what must have happened to Ritika as she fainted. He was aware of her panic attacks but he wasn't sure so he avoided asking this to Satvik. He thought he will ask the doctor in the morning.

"Okay! I think I should leave." Aaditya said and left. Whereas Satvik slept off within a minute as he was drained for the day.

Aaditya signed the visitor's register and was extremely furious as he saw Zoya's name on the list and when he checked the time it was just after college.

AADITYAS' POV

What the hell is this? How can Zoya lie to me? She knew everything but hide it. Why? Is she the reason for Ritika's condition? Damm it!

I should ask these things to Zoya myself and clear everything. Though, I love Ritika more than just friends but still, I can't presume things as both are my best friends.

RITIKA'S POV

I got up early in the morning as the anaesthetic effect of the medicine were not more than 8 hours. The golden rays of Sun were showing up from the window turning this white hospital room into a glorious reddish-orange room.

I turned to my left and saw Satvik was laying in an uncomfortable position on the couch. The way he was scrunching his face as sun rays were disturbing his sleep. I got up and went near him.

I stood near him such that the sun rays were shielded by me. His messy hair resting on his forehead and a not-so-innocent-face was making him look cute. I was so lost in his face but at the same time nurse came and I trembled and fell near Satvik.

Satvik got up in a hurry as he heard the sound.

"What's wrong, are you okay?" He asked me in his sluggish tone immediately as he opened his eyes.

"No nothing!" I said getting up and sat on the bed.

The nurse came for a routine checkup and told me we can leave by noon. Today was a day off as tomorrow is prom so no classes were bunked.

Satvik was yawning lazily as his eyes looked drugged because of lack of sleep. He went to freshen up and Aadi barged into my room in no time.

"Aadi?" I gasped.

"How are you? Are you okay? What happened to you? Again any panic attack?" He asked in a single breath cupping my face.

"Aadi, I'm fine!" I said as I don't understand what to answer him.

Satvik came out of the washroom as wasn't shocked seeing Aadi maybe he was aware.

"Umm...Aaditya, she will be discharged soon! We can take her home." Satvik said checking the time.

I was discharged and Aadi argued with me that I should go to his home but I wasn't comfortable so I somehow made him understand that I will stay in my PG. But he asked to drop me so Satvik also came with us as his apartment was close to mine.

Mr and Mrs Johnson were happy to see me fine and Mrs Johnson hugged me tightly the moment she saw me.

"How are you? What happened?" She asked the same question everyone is asking. Yeah! What can I expect after coming from the hospital?

"I'm fine aunty, just some weakness!" I lied as I don't want anyone to know about the panic attack and Satvik rolled his eyes in ignorance.

"Aadi, you can go now! I'll call you if I have any problem." I told Aadi.

"Are you really fine? if yes then I'll pick you tomorrow for prom night, if not then you take a rest!" He said.

"Umm...I guess you should go with Zoya. I'm not sure about tomorrow." I declared.

"No, I won't go without you!" He said and left whereas Satvik was scanning my face as if he knows I'm fibbing. I went to my room after sending off Satvik.

SATVIK'S POV

I went to my apartment thinking about what's going on in my life. Earlier I was happy to go lucky man but after Ritika came into my life I'm thinking about her more than anything.

We are good friends but I feel bad if she is sad. Her yesterday's condition made me damn scared. What if anything would have happened to her? She is having panic attacks from childhood and Zoya triggered her.

But who told Aaditya that Ritika is admitted to the hospital? But why I felt sad when Aadi asked her to go with him? Why am I thinking only about her? Urgh!

Satvik, control your mind! He is thinking about the girl which is off-limits. Whom should I talk to about this? Yes! Got one! Lacey is the ideal person to clear my confusion.

I called Lacey and she picked at 5th ring! Not bad!

"Hello, Playboy!" She chirped in her enthusiastic voice.

"Hello, pretty lady, by the way, this isn't a good way to greet your brother!" I exclaimed dramatically.

"Leave it, for me you are always a Playboy!" She said trying to annoy me.

"Okay dear, but today I have to ask you the very important thing, please answer me honestly and don't kill me for asking!" I told her because if I will ask her about one more girl, she will definitely kill me.

"If it's about your yet another fling then...!" She was about to say but I cut her in between.

"She isn't any of my flings, but it's something confusing! You know whenever I think about spending time with some other girl, I directly or indirectly compare with her." I told her frankly as she doesn't judge me.

"Is she Ritika?" She asked and I was stunned to the core. Wherein she knew it's about Ritika.

"Wait- how do you know about it?" I asked.

"Well, Sahil tell me that you are always thinking about her and she is a naive girl so Satvik, think appropriately before taking any step forward.!" She warned me before knowing everything.

"At least listen to me completely!?" I let out.

"Fine tell!" She said and I told her everything that happened within the period, I met Ritika.

"Okay! So I'll ask few questions and answer them honestly." She said and I replied yes.

"Satvik is she more than a friend to you!?" She asked after listening to me.

"Of course she is!" I exclaimed.

"Will you be sad if she goes to prom with Aaditya?" She asked again.

"No! I want to go with her but it's complicated as I told you!" I answered.

"If you would have believed in a relationship, were you ready to ask her?" She asked

"Yes! I would have loved to! She is so damn innocent and cute! She always thinks for others and is also a little insecure, that's no problem, I would've loved to be with her!" I answered and I was shocked by my opinion.

When did she become this important to me that I was ready to have a relationship with her? Fuck!

"So the answer to your all questions is satvik that you are falling for her, I know it's hard for you but boy! The connection you both shared is more than just friends!" She gave her opinion making me more confused!

ZOYA'S POV

Should I message Ritika whether she was fine, I could have controlled my words. I'm regretting it now.

My behaviour towards my best friend changed just because she is coming in between Aadi and me. But I failed to notice she is the cupid in our story. When my love turned to obsession didn't know until yesterday when I saw Rits in that condition.

My apology won't bring back our friendship but at least I can try. I should message her.

Are you okay?

Ritika
Yeah! I'm good!

Zoya
I'm so sorry Rits, I know I did wrong and it isn't justified but please don't tell Aadi anything. I promise we would start afresh.

Ritika
It's absolutely fine Zoya, I won't tell anyone. And no need to ask sorry.

Did you forgive me?

There is no need to ask forgiveness Zoya just be the Zoya who you were!

Zoya
I promise we will be back as we were in childhood. I love Aadi but it's becoming my obsession and I don't want to lose your and Aadi's friendship at any cost. I know I'm wrong but I promise I will correct myself.

Ritika
You will get his love Zoya. Just be yourself! And go to prom with him. I will tell him I'm going with Satvik as we live nearby.

Zoya
Do you think he will agree?

Ritika
Of course, he will! Don't worry.

Zoya
Thanks for forgiving me and I promise I won't trouble you.
