Chapter 22 - F

I love living with Ozzie; I've been living with him for a few months now. It took a bit of getting used to, but I like it.

Ozzie bought me some clothes that I picked out, and he got me some things to do during the day if he had to work. After we first went to the store, he had gotten me some more things; he got me some more pencils, and he also got me a pink plush cat. I love the plush cat, it's my favorite thing now. It's so soft and it's big so I can hug it.

I liked him more than I like other people. Like, I feel different when I'm with him than I feel when I'm with Marie or Anne. Ozzie makes me feel safe and secure, and he's very warm and I feel like I can tell him anything. He makes me feel kind of warm inside. When I'm with Marie or Anne, they still make me feel safe, but I feel so much safer with Ozzie, and I feel like it's more of a different kind of safe. I don't feel like I'll get hurt or anything when I'm with any of them, but Ozzie makes me feel safe in the sense that he won't let anything happen to me, no matter what.

Even though he had to work sometimes, he still made sure that he spent time with me. He tried to take me out every weekend, usually just to eat. When he was busy, he was usually just in his room or on the computer in the living room. I usually sat wherever he was, drawing or napping. He let me take naps on him when he was working; he just didn't want me to distract him. He sometimes let me go outside, but he usually didn't want me to when he was working because he wanted to come with me.

Ozzie lives sort of in the woods, so there was a lot of forest to explore around the house. He told me that he just didn't want me to get lost on my own.

Living with Faervel has been fun; it's nice having someone around the house with me, and it helps that I like said person already. He was so relaxed, and it wasn't difficult at all to live with him, even if it meant that I had to spend more money.

He was actually really independent most of the time, he just wanted to have support behind him in case something went wrong. Because I was still working on the Beast case, I was working a bit more now, but he didn't need my help with much. He normally sat with me wherever I was working and just did his own thing, drawing or watching TV. He usually took naps around lunchtime, and he liked to just curl up next to me or with his head in my lap or on my thigh for a couple hours while he slept. He usually didn't take his naps away from me; even if I'm in the living room, he always moves closer to me and onto the same couch or whatever furniture I'm on before he sleeps. He sometimes if he's super tired will fall asleep by my feet on the floor with a pillow, but he normally laid with me as he napped.

One night, I was working late at night in my bed. Fae was in his room; that was pretty much the only time he wasn't right next to me, when we went to sleep. I was wearing only my boxers as I did when I slept, and just wanted to finish analyzing the document I had started around noon.

I heard some thunder outside, but it was quiet. I hoped that Fae was asleep; I knew he hated storms. I paused for a minute, but I didn't hear him get up so it relieved me a bit. I kept working for a while, putting earbuds in to listen to music.

I saw movement in my peripheral vision after a while and looked up, then quickly snapped my computer shut and pulled my earbuds out. Fae was standing by my door, trembling a ton and crying. He was clutching the stuffed cat that I had bought him to his chest. I immediately jumped up when I saw him, going to him.

"Hey, hey it's okay," I said quietly, opening my arms for him. He followed me with his head and if anything started to shake more when I got closer, crying even more and taking an unsteady step towards me before I pulled him to me. I picked him up, holding him securely as he shook and sobbed into my shoulder.

I sat down on my bed again, stroking his back. I laid down under the blanket with him, petting his hair. The warmth of the blanket and my body seemed to calm him down and his crying stopped after a while, but he kept shaking a bit.  I tried to think about what could have happened to him before he got to my room; I don't think he had a seizure, though he was very close to it. There hadn't been a lot of lightning, so I hope it wasn't enough to set off his epilepsy.

I tried asking him what had happened, but he didn't answer. He just cuddled into me as his shaking and crying calmed down. I rubbed his back until he calmed down fully before asking him again.

He mumbled his answer, but it was something along the lines of being scared of the storm, then his body hurt really bad for a minute and he felt like he couldn't breathe before he managed to stand up and get to my room. He said that he had been crying mostly because he was terrified, and I didn't blame him.

"C-Can I stay with you tonight?" He asked quietly after he had told me what had happened, looking up from my chest at my face.

"Of course," I said, keeping my arms wrapped around him. He was wearing one of my shirts and only boxers under it; he looked really sexy like that, but now is definitely not the time to be a horny bitch. I rolled more onto my back and he cuddled into my chest, sniffling and laying his head on my chest. I held him securely, stroking his hair as he calmed down. He was still shaking a little bit, closing his eyes and his breathing soon slowing as he fell asleep.

I stayed awake for a bit before falling asleep to make sure he was alright, and made a note in my phone to talk about this event with his doctor.
