The crumbling brick structure shadows over us with a bright smile seeming to come from it. I lead them past the outer wall - making sure that the correct code is punched so that it doesn't kill the... the Jaffa.

"What is this?" The Daniel one inquires as he comes up beside me. I move as he invaded the space around me, pointing to the control panel with a raised eyebrow.

"The... panel? Do you not have these where you're from?" Worry filters through as I realized that they might be more behind than I thought.

How are they still living? And with a Goa'uld no doubt. Did they really get this far with their courage alone?

"No, the... the barrier?" He motions to the sentry point that the force field came up from and relief floods me. I put a hand over my chest and let out a small chuckle, motioning for him to follow me as I lead them past this entry point before putting the barrier back up.

"The wall." I specify as he nods, "I'm afraid that I can't give you much knowledge about it. The makings went into effect long before I was born, but I know that it's powered by..." I trail off as I try to think of how to explain it and let them follow further into the land. "Water and sun. Do you understand that?"

"Like, hydroelectric and solar power?" He asks as he glances to the tower.

"I- I don't know what that is." I blink as I try to put pieces together, "There are sheets of metal up on the roof that make up one large panel and whenever the sun comes out they glow. As they glow, the building's generator rises in energy both on the output and input. Then there's a wheel underground the spins with the underground river from the mountains, and it's pretty steady."

"Yes, we call the, uh, the glowing metal sheets Solar Energy because you're taking the thermal energy of the sun and the sun is solar." He explains as he adjusts his glasses, "Hydroelectric energy because hydro means water, and it produces electricity for your tower, and you use the water's energy."

I nod as I come to understand the terms and open the front door for them.
