Although primarily a sub genre of Horror, SplatterPunk can also be used as a Science Fiction tool. For example the excessive violence and gore synonymous with the sub genre could work well when set to a CyberPunk background.

SplatterPunk stories can be set in any time period, and although CyberPunk is mentioned above, SplatterPunk stories can utilise any other sub genre as a setting.

Such stories would likely work well combined with humour, as over-the-top death scenes are, let's face it, funny as hell!
