| Chapter 26: The Necklace. |
My finger begging to squeeze as Lilith slammed my driver's door shut, making me flinch at the sound. She glared with her eyes but smiled with her lips as she moved into the grass and stood about 5 feet from me, watching as my Glock followed her.
"Good Evening Dani," smiled Lilith, crossing her arms and I could hear the squeak of her leather jacket, that I realized was actually mine. She watched my eyes trace my jacket as she giggled, "I'm so glad we're the same size, cute right?"
"Lilith!" Called Dean from behind me as I heard some shuffling and I assumed Sam and/or Castiel was struggling against Dean to not charge out in the middle of the yard. "Lisa, house now."
"Dean -" she started, but Dean shouted this time.
"Now."
I clenched my jaw, putting aside the petty grudge I had against Lisa for a moment, as my attention was fully on Lilith, who looked as if she was watching her favorite broadway show.
"Hi Dean." She chimed, leaning over a little and looking past me. "It's so fucking hard getting your attention...of course, I'm not Dani..." she smirked, looking from Dean to me. "...I'm not half Angel."
"How did you -?" I started, but Lilith interrupted me.
"- How did I know?" She chuckled. "The same way I know other things Dani, I'm a higher authoritative Demon, it's part of my job knowing this shit."
"Where's Sierra?" I cleared my throat, lowering my Glock.
"Dani, what the hell are you doing?" Came Dean's voice from behind me as I slide the Glock back into the back of my jeans and stepped out into the grass with Lilith. "Do you have a death wish?"
"Yes." Lilith and I spoke in unison, without breaking eye contact.
"You know you'll lose him to her, right?" Lilith spoke like a Mean girl from high school, trying to get a rise out of me - although I felt it working, I remained calm. "Ben's his, you know."
"No he's not." Shouted Sam, as I heard another shuffle, which I assumed was Dean trying to break free.
"Like you would know." Shot Lilith, allowing her eyes to flicker between myself and the three behind me.
"Hey, Bitch!" I found a new wave of courage come over me as I moved to stay in her line of sight. "Where the fuck is my sister?"
"Language." Lilith hissed, shaking her head. "Your sister is fine, just may not be in about..." she pulled her hand out of her crossed stance and allowed the sleeve of my jacket to fall below her watch as she read out. "...three minutes."
"Where the fuck is she?" I asked, stepping forward now. "I won't ask you again."
"What are you going to do...smite me?" Lilith rolled her eyes, pulling out a nail file. "She's here."
I blinked at her, only allowing my eyes to flicker to my car when I heard muffled groaning.
"Sam." I called, hearing the three behind me get quiet. "Trunk, now."
"He won't make it there." Smirked Lilith, glaring over my shoulder to Sam.
"Try me Bitch." I growled, as Lilith's eyes flickered from the regular humanoid ones she was currently occupying to the bold, solid black. I wasn't phased and she knew it. "Sam, now." I shouted, hearing some scrambling behind me and then watched - out of the corner of my eye - as he managed to pop the trunk and picked up Sierra, bridal style, out of the trunk. She was beaten, bad and seemed unconscious. "You have three second to tell me what've you done to her and -"
"- Your Mommy?" Lilith mocked, glaring at Sam as she attempted to go all black eyed again, only for me to draw my small knife I kept in my right boot and immediately forced it forward, like a throwing star, and watched as it caught my jacket and Lilith's arm and flung her backwards into the tree trunk that stood behind her. "What the fuck?"
I glared, moving across the yard as I heard the front door open and close. I just grinned watching Lilith struggle against my blade and glare at the blood running down her arm.
"You know whatever you do to me, you do this woman right?" Lilith hissed, noticing I was much closer now.
"I don't give a fuck." I spat, drawing another knife. "Now, tell me what you did."
"Short and simple really," sighed Lilith, rolling her eyes again at the fact she couldn't break free. "Bill was gone about an hour by the time I got there... Glinda - in her old age - was easy to take down...now your sister..." Lilith pointed over my shoulder to gesture to Sierra. "...she's a tough cookie..."
"Yeah..." I nodded, glaring over my blade.
"...nothing compared to you though." Winked Lilith, making a swift move with her body, breaking free of the blade and attempted to shove it through my face, only for me to catch her arm with the other blade. "Son of a bitch!" She screamed out in pain as I watched the human host she was occupying began to shake from the pain. "You know, you're a real cu -!"
I snatched the collar of my jacket and pulled her close only to whisper, "Language!" And then shove her as hard as I could backward, taking back both of my knives and watched her collide with the sidewalk. "Where's the kid?"
"What Kid?" She whimpered, trying to get up, but I shoved my boot into her face. "Fuck!"
"Where's the kid?" I asked, again with more anger behind it.
"Where's my sister? Where's the kid?" Lilith whined, holding her nose and looking down at the blood on her hand. "What's next, where's my ex?'
My eyes widened at the mention of Nick, more so at the sudden pull in my chest at the mention he would be in any sort of trouble.
"Ah..." Lilith giggled, managing to get to her feet. "...you still feel a little something for the Momma's boy?"
I glared into her void eyes.
"Guess that means Dean's available?" Lilith teased as I gripped the handles of knives as I felt my jaw clench. "I mean, he's the one I've been wanting this whole time anyway...It's taking so much get to get to him..." I watched her eyes flicker over my shoulder again. "...he's good in bed isn't he?"
I felt something in me snap as I lunged forward, only feel a sudden pressure around my throat and suddenly lost the grip on both my knives, hearing them collide with the walkway below me. I glanced down to see my legs dangling in the air as Lilith's hand rose and tightened into a fist, making the pressure around my neck heavier.
"What are you...Darth Vador?" I choked, feeling the pressure tighten even more.
"Dani! Baby!" Called Dean, from behind me. "I'm coming!"
"Yes!" Hissed Lilith.
"No!" I choked, struggling against the pressure tightening even more around my neck, attempting to turn to Dean.
"Dani!" Shouted Sam as well as I heard rapid footsteps coming up the walkway towards myself and Lilith.
"Dean, no!" I choked watching him draw his own Glock and press it against Lilith's head. "Dean..."
"Let her go." Dean growled, pulling his hammer back. "Now."
"Dean, you're so sexy when you're angry." Smiled Lilith, still holding me in mid-air. She turned me back towards them as she flung her arm around Dean's, twisting it so that he wasn't pointing the gun to her head anymore, and forcefully kissed him.
I felt my face flush red and a sudden hot stinging sensation started in my chest. I glanced down to my chest to see what it was, it was the necklace Raphael gave me before, it was now shining through my shirt. I blinked rapidly, fighting the unconsciousness that was threatening my mind. Everything kept struggling to keep its color as a blackness threatened to come over me.
Suddenly the pressure was gone, I collapsed to the ground and only managed to remember a flash of bright light and an incredible explosion as my head bounced off the walkway, but my body was caught by someone.
