| Chapter 20: Don't Fear The Reaper. |

I pulled the hammer back on my Glock as I slid out from under my pillow as fast as I could, and rose out of bed quietly. I kept my eye on the black sillouette in the corner, that seemed to be chuckling quietly to itself.

"Oh Danielle," came that voice again. "No need for all that."

"Whose there?" I asked, seeing Sierra bolt upright again out of the corner of my eye. "Show yourself."

A small click rang through the room as the small stand-up lamp was clicked on in the corner of the room, illiuminating a rather ghostly figure in a suite. Keeping my Glock pointed at him, Sierra joined me, pulling her Glock out now too.

"Who are you?" Sierra pushed, licking her lips nervous as she pulled back her own hammer.

"Alex." He hissed, crossing his legs, causing both Sierra and I to jump at his movement. "Pleasure to be meeting the Rhett Sistters, finally."

"How do you know us?" I asked, as Sierra moved across the room to turn on the big light in the ceiling.

"I know more about you than you know about yourself Danielle," Alex smirked, watching us remain guarded. "I'm here because I've heard about your Father."

"What?" Sierra and I whispered in unison.

"How the -?" started Sierra, as Alex interrupted her with his explaination.

"- The deal this one," He gestured to me. "made with Lilith...she's doing everything in her power to make sure she gets what she wants...which I believe is your new boyfriend."

I clenched my jaw, realizing that Lilith was behind our Father dying, and she was crossing a line not only for me, but the thought of intimidating an old flame and now trying to kill my own Father so she could have Dean.

What did Dean do, or have, that Lilith wanted so badly?

"She's always had a thing for the Winchesters," Alex answered my thought as I remained mute.

Sierra glanced between the two of us, as I stood in horror at his mindreading.

"Why are you here?" Sierra pushed, moving towards Alex and opening the door to the room, for an easy escape route.

"I'm here to offer my assistance." He, literally, hissed (this time). "I'm a Reaper, an Angel..."

"Angel?" I echoed, with a different type of smirk on my face of disbelief.

"...yes, we are responsible for escorting deceased souls to the afterlife." He explained tangling his own fingers within the other hand's.

"Are you offering your assistance to take our Father?" Sierra quesitoned, pulling her hammer back and lowering her Glock, but I wasn't as easily wavered.

"Oh, my Dear - No." Alex almost chuckled, but continued grinning a silent amused demonic grin. "I'm here to offer my assitance to save your Father."

"Yeah?" I tilted my head, tightening my grip on my Glock. "How the hell would a Reaper - an Angel - whose responsible for escorting deceased souls to the afterlife do that?" I mocked, earning a glare from his almost empty eye sockets.

"A Reaper, like myself, is capable of transferring a person's life force to another, effectively healing them of any injuries or sickness." He paused, looking in my direciton. "Even Meningococcal disease."

I slowly pulled my hammer back and lowered my Glock and beamed at the stranger as he sighed heavily and recited something familiar.

"Disease gets a bad rep, don't you think? For being filthy, chaotic. Uh, but, really, that just describes who get sick. Disease itself... very... pure. Single-minded. Bacteria have one purpose: divide and conquer. That's why, in the end... it always wins." He spoke as if it was a script he had rehearsed, when he caught mine and Sierra's puzzled faces he simply replied, "An Old friend says that all the time, Pestilence...an ancient, powerful member of the Four Horseman of the Apoloclypse."

When we just blinked in response who shrugged, pulled out a pipe from his sute and began to smoke it, in between puffs he realized we were just standing there ackwardly.

"You can go back to bed, we'll talk more in the morning light -" He attempted to dimiss, only for all three of us to be caught off guard with the sudden appearence of Sam and Dean in the doorway.

"- or you can talk now!" Sam's voice deepend as the two stepped into the room, Dean making his way between myself and Alex. "Who are you -?"

Alex looked past Dean and scoffed, "Do I really have to?"

*

"Do you believe him?" asked Dean, leaning against the counter, passing me a cup of coffee as we watched Alex talk to Sam and Sierra.

"I'm not sure." I answered, looking down at my dark blonde coffee. With a small smile at Dean's attention to detail I sipped on it. Catching me off guard, Dean sat down his coffee cup, gripped my hips again, pulling me in front of him while beaming into my eyes, causing me to flush red slghtly as he picked his coffee cup back up. "What's all this about?"

"I just love a good view with my coffee." He winked, tipping the coffee cup to his lips and not breaking eye contact with me.

"Smooth." I teased, feeling one of his hands, I didn't realize was still on my left hip, tighten around my hip bone, causing me a sudden urge to shoot through my body, automatically making me nibble on my bottom lip. "Stop." I giggled.

"What?" He grinned, slowly outlining my PJ tank top with his eyes. "I can't help it."

I giggled, leaning in and kissing him every so gently, only for that same damn heat to rise within my veins, but with other matters at hand, I forced myself to pull out of the kiss, but not completely. He smiled down at me as I pecked him on the lips and turned to face the doorway into the office again.

This time, Dean wrapped his arms around my waist and pressed his lips against my shoulder, beaming over it to pay attention to the conversation at hand.

"He remembers us, but I don't remember him." Sam stated, moving into the office, leaving Sierra and him to talk.

"He remembers us?" Dean echoed, confused as I moved out from in front of him so he could address his brother and leaned against the counter beside him. Only to then, pulling myself onto the counter and dangle my legs. "Curious."

"Very." Sam nodded, looking from Dean to myself. "He seems to really want ot help your Father though."

"He seems that way..." I nodded, tipping my coffee cup to my lips. "...but do we trust it? Do we trust it enough to bring him to my Father...introducing him to this version of reality?"

"Deep questions." Sam nodded, pouring himself a cup. "Very valid."

"Also, if we take him to Bill, Mom would go off the deep end and most likely, Nick would show up." I elaborated, earning a puzzled look from both Dean and Sam. "What? It's a small town and his Father is the sheriff."

"Small town," nodded Dean, looking from me to Sam. "word travels fast."

"Dean, we can't go with them." Sam stated, almost in an obvious tone.

"Why not?" Dean asked, shrugging slightly.

"You and Nick will get into it or You and her Mom will get into it -" He paused, sipping on his coffee as Dean and I watched curiously. " - or you and her Father will get into it."

"So? Sounds like like fun," grinned Dean looking back over at me. "better get dressed." I opened my mouth to speak, only for Dean to cut me off," Or don't, I don't mind." He winked, as I slid off the counter, sat down my empty coffee cup and pecked him on the lips.

As I stepped out of the Kitchen, I felt his eyes on me as I turned to glance at him, only to see him biting his delicious bottom lip again.

"I'm getting dress, you coming?" I asked, moving from the sight and nudging Sierra. Alex nodded politely as Sierra and I retreated upstairs to change. "What do you think?"

"I think it's an opportunity to help Dad...and not deepen or fuck up your deal with Lilith." Sierra proclaimed as we both started pulling off our PJs and sliding into our normal esthetic.

"I don't trust him, but he may be able to help." I replied, pulling up my jeans and sliding into my cowboy boots. "Besides, we need to go see Dad anyway."

Sierra nodded, as she watched me adjust my boots. "Are you ready to face Nick again?"

I rolled my eyes and almost immedately spoke as she finished her question, "I'm not worried about Nick, seriously - I have moved on and I'm very happy where I'm at."

"For now." muttered Sierra, earning a glare from me. "What? Nick was the first boyfriend you ever had, and granted you've went on a few dates here and there, but nothing as serious or as fast paced as you and Dean."

"And?" I asked, standing up from the side of the bed. "I'm happy, isn't that all that matters? I already have Sam all disappointed and shit - now you?"

"I'm not disappointed." Sierra corrected, sliding into some UGGs. "I'm concerned."

"Which is different from Sam...how?" I pushed back, pulling on my leather jacket and pulling my bag up onto my shoulder, as Sierra mirrored me.

"I just don't want you to get hurt, whereas Sam doesn't want to watch someone he cares about get used." Sierra shrugged, earning an puzzled expression from me. "Or at least that's what I pick up on." She led the way back the stairs as we walked into the office and noticed Bobby had come down and was now speaking with Alex.

Sam and Dean were whispering among themselves in the kitchen as I pulled my keys out and the jingle caught everyone's attention.

"Alright, whose all going and whose riding in what car?" I announced.

*

"Sierra!" gasped Glinda, opening the door to the entrance way and welcoming her with open arms as Sam, Dean, Alex and myself stood on the porch. "Dani, what are you guys doing here?"

"To save Dad." I spoke flatly as I moved past Glinda and beckoned the three guys to follow me. "Where do you have him set up?"

"Who is this?" Glinda asked, eyeing Alex's suite and nodded politely in return when Alex nodded at her as he entered through the door way before she pushed the door shut.

"Alex, Glinda - you know Sam and Dean already." I stated dismissively as I looked around the house and turned back to her. "Where do you have Dad set up?"

"Upstairs, third door on the left." Glinda stated, eyeing Alex. "Seriously, who is this?"

"Alex." He stated, taking Glinda's hand and brushing it with his cold dead lips. "Reaper, charmed, I'm sure."

"A Reaper!" gasped Glinda, glaring over at Dani. "Was this your idea?"

"Its a way we can help Dad without fucking up what I've already got lined up with Lilith." I sighed, leaning against the railway on the opposite side of the stairs. "He'll need some time, alone, with Dad but he can take the disease."

"I don't know." Glinda pondered, looking from myself to Alex. "He'll have to be introduced to our..."

"...line of work?" Sierra chimed from half way up the stairs. I glanced up at her, gestured for Sam and Dean to follow as Glinda offered Alex something to drink. "Come on." Sierra beckoned as the four of us entered the room that lied behind teh third door on the left.

"Daddy?" Sierra spoke softly through the hospital-like set up in our parents bedroom. She clapped her hands over her mouth as she rushed to his bedside. "Daddy..."

"...Sierra?" He choked and started coughing into a napkin as he struggled to open his eyes. "You're alive?"

"Last time I checked," Sierra giggled, leaning into her Father's touch as I appeared on the other side of the bed and Dean and Sam kept their distance, leaning in the doorway. "Dani's here."

"Dani?" He quesitoned, looking geinuinely confused as his eyes scanned the room and shakingly landed on me. "Dani!" He smiled, gesturing for me to bend down, as I did this he kissed my forehead and hugged me. "How are you, my dear?"

"Well, I got Sierra, and we've made a few friends on the way, I'd like you to meet -" I started, gesturing for Sam and Dean to move into the room.

"- one of them she's dating, her and Nick broke up." whispered Sierra quickly as I glared at her for a moment adn then introduced them to each other.

"Bill Rhett, this is Sam and Dean Winchester." I stated, as they both shook Bill's hand. "And Dad, this is Dean..." I emphasied taking Dean's hand and showing my Father.

"...no more Nick, uh?" asked Bill, glancing at Sierra who chuckled at his tone. "Thank god."

Dean giggled as Sam smiled glancing from him to both of us Rhett sisters.

"He's a nice boy and all," Bill almost whispered, leaning towards Dean. "but he had no balls."

"Jesus Christ." I exhaled, holding my brow as Dean chuckled, and as he smiled down at Bill I couldn't help but feel that pull I've had since Dean and I met get stronger. I softened my gaze as Dean and Bill started talking amongst themselves, and I glanced around to see Glinda and Alex at the doorway. "Are we ready?"

"I think it's better I ease him into it first," Glinda stated, as I moved past Sam and Sierra and joined Glinda and Alex at the doorway, only to linger for a moment and move into the hallway. "You know, we've married for 25 years, it's best he hears it from me."

"Right." I agreed, looking over at Alex. "Are we going to have any sort of back-up, in case this guy decides to change his mind?" I eyed Alex as he just grinned at me.

"George is coming over," Glinda nodded, without looking at me.

"Nick's Dad?" I asked to clarify, a little too loud, earning Sam's attention from the room as he joined me in the hall. "Are you fucking insane?"

"What?" Sam asked, looking between myself and Glinda.

"Geroge is coming, Nick's Dad." I elaborated, without breaking my glare from Glinda. "Which means Nick will insist on coming too."

"Oh fuck." sighed Sam, looking from us to Dean then back to me. "Maybe it's out of their system? Dean and Nick...you know?"

"I doubt it." I shook my head, leaning against the railing and crossing my arms. "Nick and I were together for a while, and Dean and I already closer than we were in that long amount of time. Nick's pissed, and he will be for a while."

"What would be redeamable?" asked Alex, earning Glinda, Sam and my attention again.

"I'm sorry?" Sam asked, puzzled at his random quesiton.

"What would be redeamable to you," He looked past Sam and landed his eyes on me. "from this NIck?"

I hesitated, and my silence earned Sam and Glinda's attention.

"I don't know." I shrugged, sighing.

"Hold that in your head." He stated, oddly, holding up an index finger then pointing over the railing as the doorbell echoed thorugh the victorian home. "They're here."

Glinda wrinkled her eyebrow as she moved past Alex to answer the door.

Sam just blinked at Alex, then turned to me.

"What the fuck?" He mouthed, as I just giggled and watched Glinda return up the stairs with George and Nick and in tow. "Hey, Nick."

"Sam," Nick nodded, and as his eyes collided with mine, a familiar heat arose as if an old friend was knocking on your front door to see you. I glared back, holding my expression as Nick nodded to me politely followed his Father into the my Father's bedroom. "Sierra, Mister Rhett..."

"...Nick." smirked Dean, moving out of the way and appearing in the hallway with Sam and I. Glinda waved away Sierra and pushed the door shut behind her. "I guess you're up next, Alex."

Alex just nodded and stood, ackwardly, at the door as the four of us made our way downstairs and into the kitchen. Sierra past out some waters as we all stood on our own side of the island and started sipping on the water bottles.

"How do you feel about this?" asked Dean's voice, chiming through my working mind. "Babe."

"Yeah?" I choked, jumping as if I was startled.

"Are you alright?" Sam brushed my shoulder, earning an odd look from Dean.

"Fine, just a million miles away...what'd you say babe?" I asked, moving out of Sam's reach and looking up at Dean's eyes, which were now locked on mine.

"How do you feel about this, Nick being here and your Father about to find out that all those summer camps you two went to don't exist?" Dean asked, moving around the island and standing next to me.

"Indifferent." I shrugged. "Honestly, I don't care for Nick and it's about time Dad figured it out anyway."

"That's for sure." sighed Sierra.

All of us jumped into action at the sound of a single blood curling scream from upstairs.
